Fault Current Calculator

Eaton's Bussmann Series FC2 Available Fault Current Calculator application is an innovative tool developed for contractors, engineers, electricians, and electrical inspectors. This tool can be used on the Bussmann website or out in the field on a mobile device for those needing a quick and simple way to determine available fault current.
With this simple tool, users can:

- Calculate available fault current on single and three-phase systems

- E-mail and print a label for marking the available fault current on service equipment (NECĀ® 110.24)

- Size fuses and conductors for service, feeder, and branch circuits.

This application, calculations, and other information are intended to clearly present technical information that will determine the available fault current at specific points in an electrical system. It wants you to fill in every field including aic. It's just a form not a calculator.

Great app for a quick verification of fault at any point of the system. Thank you.

The app is great sir, how about in generators or in parrallel connection of transformer mean 2 or more supplies. Thank you

Use this app all the helps with NEC 110.9 and 110.10 applications

Easy to use. Values aren't 100% but it's close enough.

Equipment x/r ratios is not taken into account in calculations. Hence, highly inaccurate calculated fault current values. Also, the app is limited to one (1) source only, does not provide for creating real world radial single-line diagrams and does not factor in short circuit current contributions from motors and generators upstream.

I've an AT&T Samsung Note 1. Installed software, tried to use it on a 3 phase circuit. When I get to entering kva and voltage, app does not bring up keypad. Long press on entry field does eventually bring it up, but app erases my entry when I try to move to the next field. Uninstalled.

I purchased a Samsung galaxy 5 and when I downloaded this app I found that there's no decimal in the calculator for the impedance value, so please fix. I loved this app on my previous smartphone. 2/25/2015 Samsung updated their software and now the app works like it should!

Excellent app. Needs the decimal issue (lg g2) fixed. Quick easy, accurate. Its a keeper.

this app is very helpful for us electrical design engineers...

This is a great app. I like this better than the online fault calculator Bussman used too provide. See you at NTI in Ann Arbor for the Tuesday night presentation!

This is easier to use than my electrical design software for determining fault currents. I've used the cooper bussman guide as a method for calculating fault currents before. Thanks for automating it. It even generates a PDF with all the fault currents labeled. Make it movable to the SD card and allow me to add motors and I'll give it 6 stars.

This app is very intuitive and easily calculates fault currents for a one line drawing. I like the look and feel as well.
