Simple and easy. I needed a one off fax number and they provided. Got the fax both in my email and in the app as a pdf. Plus they offered me a free 24 hour extension on my first number reservation, didn't need it, didn't ask, they just gave it. I swear, I'm not a bot. Its just rare to see an app do what it promises in such a straight forward manner, and I figured I'd spread the good word
tried this for the first time today. quite impressive and free. i faxed two pages and it was simple. I had two problems tho. Didn't allow me to send pdf so i had to take a screenshot of what i was viewing. maybe i did something wrong? Also the back button wouldn't let it exit the app. other than that the insurance got my prescriptions. im happy.
This app is not free you only get to send 5 pages per year. There is no customer support unless you pay for the premium subscription. I couldn't even get past the page where they have you fill in your details for the cover page. Not functional on my Android Galaxy 8 with current updates installed. Now they have my email address and who knows who it will get sold to 😪
While the app was easy to used, I am definitely not pleased with the results I got and will be deleting app. My fax was not received even though the app and email said it was confirmed received. Called the recipient shortly after confirmation and again the next day as they stood by their fax machine confirming their machine is working with other's faxes. And yes the correct number was entered, permissions granted, fax previewed, good internet,up-to-date application etc.
I needed to receive a fax from a doctor's office and it worked instantly. It was clear once you open the app, to request a temporary fax number. It expired after 2 days, before I received the document but they extended it one more day. I appreciated receiving the document on my email address also.
I've tried to register with 2 different email addresses and the app keeps telling me the email address is not valid. Both are valid and have been established for years. So the app is of no use to me now.
It does send your faxes but the instructions on how to do it is not that great as in it asks for a fax number where you wanna send it to and cover page that's it. It does have a button below that says add page or send. So for a beginner not knowing what to do is was confusing.
worst app .. I installed it and setup as directed from their page. received email saying bad destination. I placed 1 in front of it for it to still be sent without 1and returned as failed. I then promoted to do it through email which is another option. What a waste of time and effort
Don't lose your login info, there is no way to recover it from the app and I've been waiting a week for a response from customer service for assistance. In the meantime I have been charged $12.99 for an app I can't use from a company with zero customer service. Don't use it. The faxes didn't even always go through, sometimes I would have to send faxes two or three times. Terrible app. Even worse customer service.
I needed to receive a fax because previous doctor's office couldn't email only fax or mail... This worked perfectly!! It gave me a 24 hour burner # and it went straight to my email. Absolutely great! Only used once but I'm holding onto this app for awhile!! (I didn't use app to send, so I can't say much about that)
Does not archive sent fax. Also does not have multiple file selection so difficult to send multiple page fax. Lastly does not support PDF and some other files. 4 stars since it allow incoming fax for free. Will update once concerns are addressed.
Finally a truly free app! No ads, no credit card required, no tricks! I tried efax, Myfax, Faxfile, and 7 others. All of those require a credit card number and/or contain ads and don't work after charging you. This one is 100% free, anonymous and it confirms sent faxes. I will use this app for life. It's everything I need and nothing I don't want. Thanks Paul!
I used to use this app in the past with no problems. I needed it today for a time sensitive document that expires tomorrow and the so kept crashing as I loaded the last page multiple times. Unfortunately I could not rely on the app this time and had to search for another one.
Worked perfectly fine. You need to read the directions, it's very different than other online fax services. I didn't realize you can only send 5 fax's, in total, over the life of your account. If you have a need for a few incoming fax's monthly, this is the app for you. I really recommend Fax-Burner. I think it's a very nice service they offer here, I just don't need incoming fax's at all.
I can't say enough good stuff! I only send/receive faxes once in a blue moon, so paying for a dedicated number isn't efficient. This app gives me access to a number only when I need it, and delivers 100% as advertised!
You can only send 4 pages per month(it says 5 but the cover letter is considered a page). I wish someone could figure out how to make your phone send faxes for free. It should be utterly simple. This app is basically a waste of time.
Needed to troubleshoot a local fax machine and needed to know what the receiving side was seeing. Was able to also send a fax back to the fax machine without issue. I was able to navigate the app and perform both task in minutes.
I am very disappointed for multiple reasons 1. My previous post was deleted off of the reviews 2. For whatever reason I was not able to download faxes sent to me from my phone 3. When asking help from there support team I was told they were not able to help me since I did not have a premium account and that they were closing my help ticket. I find all of these things combined to be incredibly shady and would not recommend this app to anyone looking for an app similar to this one.
Worked fine for me! I had to receive a tax document (before a looming deadline) from a business that somehow had no computer or smartphones, but did have a fax (yikes!). I got the free temporary number & my (one page) fax came in later that day. I was able to download & print it. Crisis averted! Just know that they send you a test fax immediately. I got all excited that the business I was waiting on had sent my document super fast, but it was just the test page. My doc arrived a lil' later
Could not receive faxes. Could only send from Google Photos, Amazon Photos, or Amazon Drive. No local files. From Amazon drive, PDF files not supported. Completely useless app/service. Don't waist your time.
Terrible instructions! I should have read the reviews first. Tried multiple times to do simple phone fax, but everything I had just typed kept disappearing. I'd rather pay than waste so much time.
Receiving faxes is decent. Sending is not so good. I'm trying to send a fax via PDF, but I'm getting an error message saying "We were unable to convert the document..." Its ALREADY in PDF. And there is no support for the free service. Why would I pay when the free service doesn't work?
App needs improvement. I use my phones night mode 24/7 this app does not adjust for night mode and displays black text on black background. Cannot read faxes please fix.
Can I get that HOUR of MY LIFE back? Following instructions, took a picture each of the 2 page document & faxed. Easy right? Firstly, they sent the fax TWICE so that's 6 pages of my 5 page LIFETIME-allowed faxes (they count a cover sheet which I didn't use). Secondly, they notified me via email that both faxes had been sent. Nice communication, but when I opened up to confirm what had been sent, documents were UNREADABLE. Except their blank cover letter, of course! FYI, photos of doc taken with Galaxy Note 9. Okay, I'll try another (more readable?) way! Scanned docs from printer to PC, emailed to phone, downloaded & faxed the SCANNED attachments BUT ... rejected ... they want $. Three emails sent to me from "do not reply" saying "Hello,We do not allow faxing to ." What does that even mean? No way to communicate with "FaxBurner".
This app doesn't work. I have to send important information in everything month and every time I use it the person on the other end can't read what I send, I can see clearly that my picture is fine.
NOT TRANSPARENT The description sings praises of all theae options but does not specify if email faxing is free or unlimited. I inquired customer support to be told that it is not available for the free version, but as a one time courtesy explained how to email a fax when my question was clear: "Is email faxing free and if not how do I cancel and close my account?" I cannot find that information anywhere! I'd have been willing to pay if there was any transparency!
Giving it 3 stars because I don't have an opinion quite yet. I sent a fax, but it's not showing up in my sent folder and it's something I need to get in by 8am tomorrow. So, I'm -sadly- going to look for something else to send it a second time as a "just in case".
Receiver never got the fax, even though the App confirmed sending. Also, the App keeps crashing, becoming unresponsive.
I needed to send a PDF document, but was not able to. When I logged into the app, it presented a cover sheet, with a button that said "add a page" . The only option that came up was to send a photo, either from my library, or I could take a new photo to send. There was no option to browse through any document files. As the fax I needed to send was time sensitive, I didn't have time to find and download another app. I had to send a photo of a screen shot. This produced an inferior document. Boo!
