FBAScan - Selling on Amazon!

I'm having a hard time reconciling the praises from other FBA sellers and the experience I've had. Lately, even though it costs $1, nothing is coming up as profitable; even the items that BuyBox is around $20. Plus I've tried resetting the parameters of what keeps the app from giving a green light on profitable items. Most of the time it's the weekly sales rank.

We love Scoutly and all of its customization. We also appreciate Scoutly's progressive approach to staying current, as well as their commitment to continuing to support older ways of scouting (PDA). The main thing I would add is the ability to toggle on/off individual wholesale buyers so you're only seeing results for places you do business with. Additionally, an option to only hear a sound if the maximum sellback amount exceeds a threshold would help. Thanks again, Scoutly!

Looked promising, but I had to provide my PayPal account info before I could use the app. Their website showed 100 free live searches as the trial but I was charged immediately. Customer support was no help and told me I already used the 100 searches. What? That is not possible. I had just downloaded the app. Too bad. I will try another app.

After 5 years... I used to really like this app because of all the features (too many to list) but lately I've been noticing a huge discrepancy between the current Amazon price and the prices shown in app (even after immediately downloading the newest database). After a recent haul of 1500$ worth of books, upon direct comparison we ended up having about 125$ worth of books that actually didn't fall within our selling criteria that the app identified as sellable for us. Extemely frustrating

I have used 3 scouting applications to date. This is by far the easiest to install and use. Plus you get Turbolister? Whaaaaat. With one piece of software, I was able to shave hundreds off my yearly expenses. And the Developer is incredibly accessible and responsive for future feature requests. I also mentor in reselling and this has been the easiest one to teach. Plus, it's the only main scanning software that allows for other selling databases besides books. It includes CD, DVDs, Games and growing all the time. Do yourself a favor, give this one a try and you can see how it works for light usage, scanning a few things here or there or all the way up to screaming along scanning thousands of books in a bulk operation.

Update: Thanks for fixing that glitch but where's the Keepa graph? That disappeared with the last update too? Previous review: Loved the app until this latest update. Now when an item isn't in the Amazon catalog, you have to go back to the menu screen and select Scout to scan again. Very annoying when you're scanning multiple items.

love the app. ever since the most recent update though the scanner worke terribly! i have a bluetooth scanner. sometimes i just want to scan a few and dont want to bring out the bluetooth scanner. you have to change the angle of your phone like 10 times before it actually detects and scans. wish you would have never updated the end of february, and please go back to the previous scanner that works way better!

This app is OK, but suffers from poor, outdated coding. If you switch apps or lock your screen it stops updating the DB which is very, very annoying. In DB mode its relatively fast, but not more so than other apps in this category. For what it costs you should take advantage of the trial period and test other apps out.

Make watch vibration work for buy triggers so I don't need earbuds..

Absolute garbage on a smart phone. Don't waste your time, it's the definition of a POS! Seriously you will waste your time attempting to set it up, it won't scan a single item that other apps actually recognize and give you info on. If you'd like to waste your time attempting to scan items which give you no information then this is the app for you!!!

5 Stars because it's much improved over when I used it about 2 years ago. I just found a function that's a gem! It will allow me to make money on bulk CDs and DVDs! The software can mail all that you scanned to your email, listing them on eBay in bulk is now super easy! Awesome!

A great app. Fairly simple to understand, and once you get the hang of it it's super easy to use. Clear interface, fast scanning, and brand new Amazon.ca database is huge! Highly recommend.

Great app and at a discount compared to competitors. Works great and is easy to understand as long as you read the initial picture they show when starting the app. Looking to upgrade to highest plan soon if things continue to go well.

They have a Support team that answers and fixes your problems right away. I like the app so far. Sometimes it can freeze for a little bit after 5 or 10 scans but overall it works good.

Suddenly the app will not read a barcode when there in no internet or wifi. Support could not fix the issue. The only reason I purchased this is because I need access to the database when there is no internet or wifi. Very disappointing.

Hard to get settings to what you want to buy rather than only fba. Also seems to not always be accurate despite recent downloads and doesn't recognize when there are multiple listings or restrictions on selling.

Great scouting tool for Amazon sellers of all categories. Tons of awesome features that help you to monetize items in multiple ways. Also comes bundled with a free listing program that has saved me $600 annually.

I don't understand why you can't add ROI and margin to the profit section. You should give the option to the user if they want to see ROI, margin or dollar profit.You should also give the option for the product cost to either default to manual entry or the way you have it now which is selecting a predefined cost. While you can enter a manual entry for the cost there are added steps which take up too much time.

latest update makes it nearly impossible to scan ISBN... it tajes several tries.. and most often have to block out extra portions of barcode with my other hand to get it to scan the proper code... why fix something that aint broken?

Scoutly (formerly Fbascan) makes my life much easier. Whenever I want to check the product prices on Amazon I all get the results as soon as possible. Really well with someone who must always move like me. EXCELLENT application!!!!

Can only say good things about the software. Everything works as it should. Easily connects to my scanner and data is fast. A+ program.

No idea, created an account, went to scan a barcode and it did absolutely nothing. Tried to download the database and it was trying to send me to a bit.ly link to download it.

Half the items I scan don't show up. Interface is confusing and I have no idea what any of it means. It just looks like a program that requires lesson to use and I'm pretty knowledgeable about computers

Very good for finding value in items. It does require the use of judgement in figuring out the condition of each item and whether the bar codes match.

Can't even get past register screen with brand new moto g6 and working email. Headache app, getting some long confusing error and there's no explanation of it on Google. If you're gonna copy scoutify at least make the login process easier.
