FBI FitTest
The FBI’s Physical Fitness Test app provides a detailed, insider look at how to complete each component of the test, including sit-ups, push-ups, a 300-meter sprint, a 1.5-mile run, and pull-ups. (Pull-ups are only required for candidates in the Tactical Recruiting Program, which enlists individuals with tactical experience for the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team.)
App Features:
· Instructions on proper form and test procedures for each component
· Video demonstrations of some exercises, featuring FBI fitness instructors
· Exercise timers and counters
· Customized scoring based on user’s gender
· Two modes – Practice Mode (trying each exercise at your own pace, as many times as you like) or Testing Mode (go through the exercises in the actual Physical Fitness Test order, with prescribed rest breaks).
· Can work with a phone’s global positioning system and accelerometer for a more realistic experience
The app provides official FBI information on how the new agent fitness test is administered and scored; however, scores cannot be used for the actual Physical Fitness Test to become a special agent. Detailed information on the special agent application process is available at FBIJobs.gov.

I am rating this two stars because the app works, but it's very confusing. For some reason, it keeps telling me to freeze when I'm running. I'm hot when I'm running! Then, when I finish my run, it says that I have the right to remain silent. It's hard to be silent after a tough exercise routine, but I do my best. Then, even when I'm quiet, it keeps asking me questions. They are confusing and I don't know how to answer them, but then it just asks again. Anyways, it works, but not for me.
Overall a well made app. I'd recommend for those who want to up their fitness level, like myself. There are no popups nor distracting media.
I'm having too much trouble getting the app to track my runs. Wish you'd include a feature to sync data from fitbit, Garmin or other smart watch.
I can't see all the words, it cuts off on some parts of the app and it's super outdated it needs an update for 2021 phones.
I know there are many tearing into the FBI for this, but the app is really nice. It's a nice way to have an app that can give you something to aim for, which could even be useful for a future career. It's a neat way to get fit, especially right now with most everyone stuck at home.
You can't get past the second screen to set up a profile. It's a real bummer. I guess I can delete the app now.
Great for those training for the real thing. Also great for people just wanting to set a good fitness goal and not wanting to be an agent (me). Effective use of tax money.
Cant even click on push up and pull up test. Not even worth the the 45 seconds it takes to download. Dont waste your time.

Permissions are fine (no special permissions). Ignore the haters, this is a good app. Helpful even if you just want to train, but like me are too old to be an agent.
Everyone saying that it reads your location needs to look at it closer, its says foreground not background, meaning that it cant read your location if the app isnt open
Really think hard about whether you want to give a law enforcement agency warrant-free access to the GPS on your phone.
Is there a way to show GPS accuracy before i start my run? I've started my run many times only to look down after awhile and realize an error message poped up.
One user has already mentioned this, and I'm going to say the same thing - THIS APP IS A COMPLETE INVASION OF PRIVACY!!! Do you really want the FBI to have access to almost all of the permissions on your phone?!? THIS IS AN OBVIOUS TROJAN - DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UNLESS YOU'RE MAKING A COMPLAINT LIKE THIS ONE!!! Since when did the FBI think this was even okay to do, let alone legal?!? THIS APP MUST BE PERMANENTTLY DELETED FROM THE PLAY STORE NOW TO PREVENT A MAJOR INVASION OF EVERYONE'S PRIVACY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS APP. I downloaded this app to write this review only. This app is a trojan horse app, and absolutely only exists to steal your information. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. LOOK AT THE APP PERMISSIONS PRIOR TO DOWNLOADING. THIS APP CAN & WILL STEAL YOUR INFORMATION. This is shameful. I can't believe the FBI believes an app like this is okay. It's blatant information theft and violations of personal privacy.

I see a lot of comments about this app stealing your personal information. However, you are worried about the wrong agency. You should be worried about the NSA who already has your information. This app is for you to some exercise. If the FBI wanted your information, then they would have pick up the phone and call the NSA or Facebook. They both seem to know about you equally.
I just want everyone to know that the FBI budget for 2019 was over 9.6 BILLION DOLLARS and this app looks like they threw at most a fiver at it...
Litterally just installed to make a review. The sd card perms alone are far too sketchy. Also, I'm not wanting to go after anyone but 1 of the top 5 star reviews has a government seal as their pfp, hmmmmmmm. And there are a ton of people going out of their reviews to correct the foreground permissions thing. If i dissapear in a week then you all know where i went lmao

The app's permissions is it shady with it's permissions? Yes, however I have seen people mistaking the foreground access for background access. There is a major access since foreground only detects your location when the app is launched. The background is no matter what. The app is not a trojan, wire kit, etc like some are saying. The app like I said is very shady but at the end of the day it's nothing more then just a basic application.
