Fear

“There are three types of fear: Gross-out: the sight of a severed head tumbling down a flight of stairs. Horror: it's when the lights go out and something with claws grabs you by the arm. And the last and worst one: Terror: it's when the lights go out and you feel something behind you, you hear it, you feel its breath against your ear, but when you turn around, there's nothing there...”

Stephen King

Have you ever watched a movie or played a game that made you feel like .. it knows you are watching? Have you ever had that feeling like it knows you are there and at some point, it will stop being a movie or a game and it becomes a terrifying reality? The entertainment was nothing but a hook bait to lure you into a trap full of your darkest fear.

It sounds stupid, right? Every movie and every game has the end and scrolling subtitles rush to assure your freaking mind that it was nothing but a movie or a game an instant fear and horror. There is nothing to be afraid of. It was just an illusion. Now back to the real world. Time to go to bed. You've got school/work tomorrow...

What's that?

You heard a strange crack in the floor above or in a blink of your eye you saw a strange creature-like thing in the window. You waiver a bit. It's probably just a usual crack sound house does from time to time or you just saw yourself standing up from the desk in the reflection. You calm yourself down by these words because what else could that be right? But deep down a seed of horror, laid by the game you just played or movie you just watched, takes its roots and starts growing and questioning your rational judgement. Of course, it's probably nothing .. but what if it's something? Something like what you just saw or played? What if it is what you just saw or played? You resist these thoughts of course and start walking towards the dark hallway to get to the bathroom.

Suddenly you notice very light almost unhearable step-like noises from the floor above. You stop just before you enter the hallway. You are standing there, not moving, in absolute silence. Your breath feels so loud and you can feel your heartbeat skyrocket. Shapes of known things corrupted by the darkened hallway suddenly evoke unease. As if they were not those things you pass daily without any notice but rather something unknown waiting for you there hiding its true form in the shadows. You inevitably start to wonder whether you haven't allured the entity from the movie or game to your own home.

Will playing this game cause you to die a few hours later?

Sounds stupid, right..? Right?

If it's so stupid, why don't you prove it?

Warning: do not use this app if you suffer from schizophrenia or paranoia!
