With as big as the name is, you'd think the app would be better. USELESS!
The biggest limitation is the inability to save a configuration, and the app has no exit, you have to close the app from the multi window view on your phone. Only way to save the data for use in the field is to take a screenshot. Add saves and I'd be happy to give it a 4 or 5 star review.
Good app but missing some ammo types that I use alot for example copper power shok for 30-06 is copper hp on the website but is nowhere on the app.
Doesn't contain correct information for Federal's own products. No HST info for 4 different 9mm 147gr, 150gr, or +P versions. Lame.
App is almost what I'm looking for. If it could save the custom loads it would be perfect. Right now there is not a way to save loads.
Good app. 6.5 Creedmore is in the calculator. Would be better if there was an exit / way to close the application. You must restart your phone in an Android phone. Also, would be good if you can select a particular calculation or save to your device. Range calculations do not go beyond 500 yards which is sad when getting ballistic data for match loads.
Works well, but only for the bullets from the built-in list. No way to add bullets or handloads
No 6.5 Creedmoor, or 6.5 Grendel. Other than that, it's a nice app. Although the app is a little slow, it seems accurate.
Can't save. App is purely a bad ad
Needs an off button. Needs to be updated to include ALL offerings, even the +P loads.
Not current and not easy to use
Add the 6.5mm Creedmoor caliber.
Uhhhh how come it doesn't have the 6.5 creedmoor for a caliber choice?? But the federal premium website calculator does??
All it does it takes your input and opens a browser to Federal website. What's the point of the app? I can do it in my browser on your website anyways!!!
I use this app all the time to satisfy curiosity and settle arguments. The only bad thing about it is that if you want to compare two calibers or bullet weights you have to take a screen shot and look at it in photos.
It would be great if I could load saved load data, especially the loads I've already saved through the web application.
Appears to be missing a few key features as previous reviews have stated. It would also be nice to have the ability of selecting a barrel length. The ballistics for a 77grain smk was displayed using a 24 inch test barrel.
Easy to use, a good Idea for Shooters shooter of all skill sets
Its OK. Nothing fancy. It works on a basic level
ballistics you cant change load number, for example the only load they show for .223 is ae223. How bout m193? Need to be able to change this for it makes a big difference
Amazing in field/range reference
Missing the load information for hunting and centerfire loads
Did not have 180 grain for 30.06 or Remington type
Wont load anymore.
Director of tactical shooting
Federal puts their name on this app but failed to include data for their own factory ammo. Sure I could look up the ballistic coefficient myself but the app doesn't even let you type in the data that it asks for. Total garbage. Uninstalled in under two minutes!
Works OK at calculations, but doesn't account for differing barrel lengths' effects on standard loads. Doesn't retain forms after filling out when switching in/out of app, which is really annoying and time-consuming at the range.
