This is a complete life saver for me, as it enables me to have my content organised & listed in a compact form so that I can get through a lot of items fast. Then it syncs my read items across devices. One star removed because although I can add tags to items, there is no way to then view the tags. I would also love a decent feed preview widget.

I used to be a Press user, but lack of updates and no offline support had me searching for an alternative. I use Feedly to save my RSS feeds but its app is all style over substance. This however has everything, offline support, readability/pocket/instapaper integration, great material design look and feel and just the right amount of options without over complicating things. Only issue so far is that syncing seems to be a bit hit and miss and doesn't always happen when it should.

Something about the navigation erks me though. When reading articles, and clicking on links within those articles, there's no way to go back one page or step. Hitting back takes you all the way back to the feed list. I find that so frustrating. Also, scrolling is very choppy with lots of dropped frames. Overall though... Nicely done.

Really nice looking app, but I find the swipe gestures on stories don't work reliably. Sometimes it'll work and other times i'll have to do it 5 or 6 times before it registers. Also, one feature i'd like is swiping a story from the list, so that it is removed from the list as opposed to greyed out, but that might just be me.

Has caching, automatic readability, and more. Best news reader I've found. The biggest issue is that Readability's API key often reaches the 1000 requests per hour limit, removing the functionality until the next hour. While you can use Google or Instapaper instead, it's annoying. Preferably get a higher request limit from Readability (maybe as a paid feature in the app, if Readability charges). To make it more like material design, the app could use a list instead of cards, and more animations.

Seems like everyone (including me) loves this reader except one more missing feature which seems to be specific for the person. My missing feature is basically an efficient and quick transitioning from one feed to another without having to go back up to the feed menu. Something like Feedly app will do or any other method (swiping up) etc,. will do too... Note: Pocket integration authentication is no longer working for new installs. Please fix it as there has not been an update since Jan 2015. Thanks.

This is a very nice feed reader, I use it ladies with Feedly. I just wish it had an easy way to open an article if a browser. Also when scrolling past a YouTube video in a story of I accidently touch the video (even if I'm scrolling or moving to the next story in the feed) it gets opened.

I enjoy the wonderful and the customization that it allows users. The ability to control everything with a swipe is extremely helpful. I am coming from Flyne and I really enjoyed that app. Articles do appear to load more slowly than I am used to. I found one bug and already got a quick response when I reported it. I couldn't handle the delay and I hit a 1000 limit.

Really nice app, beautiful, fast and customizable. So far the best feedly replacement i encountered. 2 things that would make it perfect for me: 1. Categories(and feeds) order from feedly and 2. Auto advance to next feed(category) when i scroll down to the end of feed and mark it as read.

The best RSS reader I've found bar none and in particular better than the native Feedly app IMHO. It is well laid out, intuitive to use and efficient. Currently, I'm experiencing a bug where on my tablet (G Pad II) I am unable to log into Pocket. This isn't a problem on my phone (Nexus5) but as I use this feature very often, it is quite an irritant. I've sent a notice to the developer but haven't heard a peep. As the last update to the excellent program was almost a year ago I really hope it hasn't been abandoned.

Hands down the best RSS reader on Android in my opinion. Replacing Reeder on my old iPhone was proving very difficult until I came across this app. Big thanks to the developers for building in so many little features. Performance is great, too.

Well, after trying just about every Feedly Reader under the sun, I've finally settled on this one. It's fast, it's clean, it's mostly material. Only things I'd like to see improved are an option for larger cards (something more image-based) and a slightly bolder font for the article titles. Great job dev!

The app is good a easy to use, implementing material design well, but sync doesn't always seem to work. Of particular note, things I mark read on mobile while offline are not marked as read on browser, even after synching the app.

A much better app than the official Feedly app. The only thing is the 1x1 widget seems out of place when using Google Now Launcher. The text and the icon are too small compared to everything.

I want this app to become better. It has a very fast synchronisation with Feedly server and has a functional and pleasing UI. The problems are: 1. it doesn't load the folder list (left side) sometimes, 2. when you click a link in a page and move to the page I couldn't figure out how to navigate back to the article, 3. even when 'only unread' is selected it shows already read feeds, 4. I couldn't long click on the links.

If you have a large amount of articles or you enable 'mark read on scroll' this app will destroy your battery, especially when on mobile data. 200 items? FeedlyReader will sync 200 separate times to individually mark each item as read. Every other RSS app has an option for this, on/off/wifi only.

I stopped using Feedly's app after growing more discontent with it's lack of offline support, and its general unwieldiness on tablets. Feedly Reader is a terrific alternative because it utilizes the entire screen's real estate for reading, and has support for offline reading...a near-absolute must for tablet users. Taking quick actions on new articles is a snap with the left and right swipes on the home screen. It doesn't have the most attractive UI, but it does have themes that are easily accessible.

If you open an article, it is no longer bold, but it still shows up when the checkbox to show only unread is clearly checked. Navigation is a bit clunky, too. You have to go back and forth constantly. I'm going back to reading the feed online.

Very nice app. Has lots of customization options like custom sync intervals and lots of themes. It's a perfect replacement for anyone coming from Press. Could use some UI refinement though (thumbnails don't look very nicely spaced). Otherwise an amazing app!

A. G. u. Aug 21, 2015

to be completely honest, can and should be improved upon (Play Newsstand's level of pollish has spoiled me). However, the number one flaw for me is the lack of a quick glance news-widget. Something as simple as normal Feedly's larger widget that can scroll between article thumbnails will do just fine and is extremely useful. Please add this as this is litteraly what my phone's home screen is built upon and something I can't live without. I look forward to seeing this application develop further and 👍

Nice material touch. Very nice app! However if tap on an image. It opens the image in the same window (no overlays, but that's fine). Frustrating part is you cannot come back to the article again. Nothing helps :(

I was having trouble sleeping one night so decided to give this app a try as a replacement for my old RSS reader. It was OK (not great but OK) until a pop up video ad started blaring out at full volume without warning, waking up my partner. Won't be using it again!

This reminds me a lot of GrazeRSS/NewsRob, only up to date with the latest Android UX. Only thing I'm missing is the ability to view Starred Items for individual feeds, which is the feature that keeps bringing me back to Graze.

I actually was so excited about this app - with the mobilizer options I figured I'd save data and battery but even with autosync turned off, this app consumes much more battery than feedly ever did on my Note 5.

EDIT: downgrade from 5 to 3: Techsupport totally unresponsive. I am afraid this app is abandonware. SERIOUS Bug in browser: blank screen if switch to another app and come back to the app. If click on a link there is no way to go back to previous screen. INITIAL REVIEW: This news reader is very well designed. I had evaluated many, paid and free. Always came back to gReader. But I finally got fed up by gReader''s complexity (a lot of settings to compensate for its outdated or even design errors). Tried FeedlyReader randomly and this is the one. Its settings is straightforward kept to the minimum and are of course the most useful settings you need in a news reader. The GUI is efficient and easy to customize.

EDIT: i removed this app a month ago, but today found 1.4GB of cache leftover clogging up my device 😠 Great interface. But buggy. Videos show blank screen, can't zoom in to pictures, can't log in to Pocket. I hoped to replace Just Reader with this app, but that won't happen yet. If the developer doesn't make a move soon, this app will fade away...

Nice app. Loved the dark theme. But sometimes I mark items as read and after sync they're back. Thing that doesn't happen in my Feedly desktop client. When I use the Mobilizer and switch to another app when I come back the page does not scroll anymore.

A. G. u. Feb 14, 2015

Great! But the contrast between read and unread items should be better (the non-bold versus bold titles way of doing it is not really enough). And switching from one section to the next should be easier, maybe swiping up at the end of the previous section.
