no matter what I put in for the machines max speeds it tells me that is what I should run it at. I should not be running at 3000rpm on a 1/2" mill through stainless
Very good and useful app for vmc.
Love this app. Simple.
It worked before then just stopped. Now every time I put a value in it just gives a popup saying it's just a reference blablabla I hit the agree button and it just repeats the exact same thing over and over can't get past that step
Best one on the play store. Just plug in the size, type, teeth of your cutter and select the material, works like magic. You can add your own materials, I added materials under the older codes like en1a, as that's what I am used to. If you want to use it for turning just put in the cutter has 1 tooth.
Looks good. Simple and accurate so far. Could update with different cutter profiles, assume this is for flat end mills
This is the best app I could find for calculating feeds without knowing the material properties. I would make some tweaks to the interface to make it perfect. Anyway, it works, so you got 5 stars!
Great app looks at material, takes into account user defined chip load..simple displays ..excellent
No difference between HP in inch mode and kW in metric mode! So, requed power calculation is wrong!
This app is amazing for a hobby machinist. Large selection of materials, lightweight, simple to use, etc.
I must be missing something. When I select tool dia and type then material, why isn't it filling in the rpm for me? If it's me let me know what I'm doing wrong so I can improve on this review!
If I would change anything would put info about ripper cutters not much info out there for them but a great app
Reseting to inch and not allow to set tool type
Great for feed and speed calculator.
I give 5 because theres acrylic. But can its properties be trusted source?
Helpful and easy to use.
Practical, handy
Great Application.
First thing I tried was milling of a pocket I'm currently working on. .375 endmill, 1.75 deep. The app locks the axial and radial DOC, so it's kinda useless for me. It recommends that I cut the pocket in .375 deep steps. That's a little too old school to be useful to me.
It gave S&Fs that were clearly incorrect. Carbide 1/2" tool with 4 flutes on mild steel yielded 342 RPM at 39 ipm. HUH?
Great app love it
Completely useless. Does not help you calculate anything...just does some simple math based on all of the parameters you input. Whatever your 'max' spindle speed is, this app calculates chip load/tooth etc.
