This is a great app for helping manage anxiety and depression. daily sessions help reprogramme your thinking in a positive way. You can set daily reminders and there are different areas to help tackle personal issues. You can choose the voice and music style that best suits you. It has made a huge difference to me.
Relaxation maybe works. Think this might help me. Problems : cannot leave the app by going back, slightly annoying. Cannnot send feedback as the button to email is not working. When the screen switches off the app reminds to go back to it, disturbing the relaxation.
I am giving this app a good go. The voices do tend to agitate me, more than relax me, the elongated words just frustrate. I know their intention, it just does not work for me. I also struggle being told to relax a area of the body, no aid, no tips, no instructions, or concepts on how to do this. If I could do this, I would not be needing help in the first place. But I guess vagueness helps a wider audience. Nice looking app, great intentions, giving it my best.
I found this app invaluable it has really helped me. Having suffered anxiety & depression for many years. I've had CBT but found the app far more helpful. At first I used it 3 or 4 times a day and noticed an improvement in 2 weeks but continued and glad I did. practicing mindfulness is very helpful and now I do not have such unpleasant physical symptoms from anxiety. I would recommend giving it a try but you need to do it daily to feel real benefit. Then select the audios that you find helpful.
I decided to try this as I really enjoy the headspace app. This however wasn't for me. The ladies voice I didn't find relaxing and the guitar in the background was more annoying then a help. Maybe with a few tweaks this could be a good app. Great concept, but not very good execution.
Amazing, I have used the app for over a year and keep coming back to it, so relaxing that I always fall asleep! So effective at removing stress and anxiety and requires very little time commitment. Defo worth paying for the full version.
I am really finding this app helpful. thank you. Like others I would love it even more with a choice of music (or other background sounds/ none). 10 days in and In The Dorian Mode is starting to grate just a little - nothing wrong with it, I've just heard it enough for one lifetime. It woukd get 5 stars if i could turn it off ir change it
It seems good so far. The only downside is the music. It's not very relaxing at all and after hearing it so many times it just makes me mad. I'd much prefer to have no music or maybe ambient sounds like rainfall or something.
Given this ap from the nhs to treat my anxiety and depression as there is apparently no money in the nhs for cbt, or therapy which has worked for me in the past. the background music is agrivating, not peaceful or relaxing and I find the narrator's voice irritating. i will still try to use it but i prefer similar ones I've found on youtube to be more relaxing and less iritating. I do hope that they try changing some things with this ie. background music and having someone else do the voice over.
I thought this app was really good! The guitar music i wasnt a huge fan of but once i got into the swing of things it was fine. The content and concept are really good and its really helped me when ive felt down or anxious. i find it especially helpful when i need to get to sleep but am worrying. Thank you ♥️
I'm grateful to the developers and those who provided the content, however I think the app should be re -voiced. The speakers don't sound natural and unfortunately this is off-putting.
My big gripe with this is that the voice is telling me to do something, but it just keeps on speaking so I can't actually focus on the things they are telling me to do, and instead focus on the voice. Am I meant to pause in between or something? I can't multitask. I guess this is only for people who can multitask.
Very worrying. Uses tactic of 'I say it, you believe it'. For me, this escalated rather than de-escalted my stress. I'll stick with 'Calm' and 'Classic fm' for choice, smoothness and freedom; and 'Just Breathe' for shorts.
Wonderful piece of work that Ive been utilising for my own personal health. It works for me and helps with sleep issues. My observations are that, 1. I would like the ability/option to run the sections within the seperate headers together so as not to be interrupted. 2. The nature sounds to be an option on its own with no commentary. Otherwise I rate it 5 overall.
