Why does this app requires so many permissions? (though it hardly uses any of it...)

You shouldn’t be scared of downloading this app due to the large list of permissions that it requires. HERE’s WHY…

The app was built using a software made for creating mobile apps called Mobincube. Mobincube guarantees that apps built with their platform doesn’t include any malware, viruses, etc. With Mobincube people can create apps of such a huge variety and functionality. Some of those functionalities require specific permissions to be included, and even if this app is not using the majority of them, it includes by default the full list of permissions. Please check http://www.mobincube.com if you need to verify.

Here you have an explanation of all permissions included:

Identity:

Required by those apps that offer user analytics, user login, chats, etc.

Contacts:

Required by those apps that need to access the contact list for sending messages.

Location:

Required by those apps that offer map functionality and also by those that show ad banners. Using location permission creates a better user experience, since ad banners will display content that makes more sense to the user and can be even helpful.

Phone:

Required by those apps that have a “call” button. For example, apps that offer restaurant reservations, etc.

Photos/Media/Files and Storage:

Required by those apps that:

– Use online content and need to cache it locally to improve the user experience.

– Include video ads, so they can buffer the video, making the user experience much better.

– Allow the user to take pictures or access the gallery for selecting a photo.

Wi-Fi connection information:

It allows the app to know if the device is using Wi-Fi connectivity or not. If not, the app won’t download unnecessary resources or video ads so that the user doesn’t consume 3G data.

App is unusable because of the ads. Literally cannot accomplish anything because if you try to press anywhere on the screen you end up being redirected to an advertisers page. Cannot comment on the content because i could not get to any of it.

Very slow loading. Not sure what to expect from this app because there's nothing happening, no loading scales. No cross reference of ideas.. This app appears broken and unusable. White screen with hidden dangers to load constant ads that are unseen

It's really frustrating that it wants to collect so much. But the fact that after touching two identified feelings I have 30 second ad. Talk about a great way to make a person angry.

Inediatly popped up a user agreement requiring access to a lot of phone permissions. A simple app like this should not need so many permissions.

Very helpful to identify your emotions and feeling. Would be great if at the end there were all words in a sentence, ex. I am angry because I feel rejected and .... something like that. Thank for this app

Meh. Doesn't have a point to it. Ads load even with NO PERMISSIONS given, and lots of them. It doesn't seem to record the emotions to track or anything. Sketchy.

Needs my device location so i can enter how i feel and then shows me browser ads within the first 5 sec of using it. So it helps with changing whatever your feeling to anger.

Instantly connected to furniture add that clicked out of. Would not progress. App creator doesn't have your best interests in mind. DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Farming your information for sale. This app offers nothing that requires a single permission, and demands several.

This app has very intrusive advertising and makes it very difficult to use. Just print off an emotion wheel off the internet, less hassle.

Not a wheel

Not the wheel. I'd hoped it would function more like the wheel. Not a linear checklist.

Super busy design, intrusive ads, extraneous permissions, long loading times for no reason, and the emoji aren't very helpful.
