Fenix 2 for Twitter

Very good, works well, minor cosmetic issues (could be personal). The different font options do not work. Only the thin option actually changes the font, alle the other options are the same font. I personally think the line spacing is too large in tweets. Lastly, in black dark mode, the separator between tweets is almost not visible. But the app works, no ads, and though 5+ Euro is way too expensive, especially since it's not getting regular updates, getting it on sale makes it a good option.

A little buggy as of late. For example, I just sent out two quote retweets clicking the " button both times. One worked properly as a quote retweet, second went out as a reply to the original tweet. Happens all the time. Also, pull to refresh doesn't always work properly. Other than the few bugs, works great.

It's good,but I hate that the app keeps resetting after I configure it to open links automatically. It's smooth, until one day I use it and my default links are completely disabled again. Not a deal breaker by far, but it's very annoying. :/

Best 3rd Party Twitter App. Highlights: -not restricted to 2 accounts -sleek and snappy interface -chronological timeline -no ads -customizable "tabs" per account -is still being actively maintained I tried all the mainstream free apps. I purchased at least 2 others. As of posting this, this is the only app I tried that has (almost) everything I was looking for. Can't do everything 1st party does, but that's because Twitter crippled their API and other apps are restricted by that.

Decent app but missing some key features. Needs a counter for replies. Why do I have to click through to a tweet to see options to retweet, reply, and like? There's no way to report an account from within the app. There's other functions missing that even using twitter via a browser allows. And I'm not talking about polls which I know twitter isn't allowing yet. Maybe Musk can fix that.

Keeps refreshing my feed every few minutes. Can't see number of replies on posts. Can't see who people reply to in comments. Trending tab is barebones. Images are cropped on feed. The official app is more functional than this one.

Feed will sometimes refresh while I'm scrolling through, causing it to reset to the top. Very annoying. Edit: 5/26/22 it still does this.

I returned to Twitter recently after a reactivating my account. Going from the default app to Fenix has been so unintuitive that it has kept my Twitter usage to a forced minimum, as I cannot find anything. Thanks Fenix!

Tweet replies mostly don't load. Sometimes they do, sometimes only one reply, but most of the time none at all. Please fix!

Over three months without any updates? The app world moves a lot faster than that. If you are asking people for money, show interest in your creation. App appears abandoned at times.

Would give 5 stars if it had in-app translations, instead it opens a brower window to translate tweets. if you use twitter with a browser it automatically translates to english when you hit "translate".. been using this appfor years now. still enjoy it.

Good app, just wish image cropping was a feature since I like to crop my images before I post them and having to crop images in another app is a bit inconvenient

Automatically weeds out sponsored tweets. The timeline view shows how many new tweets there are. A joy to use compared to the regular app.

I always support the idea of alternatives to default apps. I think competition is important for creativity. However, I find this has too many compromises from the default app. So I'm switching back. I find I'm not getting consistent notifications, and, more annoyingly, it doesn't list the number of responses to a tweet. For me, these are reasons to switch back. If they are addressed in the future I'd look again. I like how fast it is, and how tailorable the interface is.

Return of the best Twitter client. I absolutely loved the original Fenix and Fenix 2 is every bit as good and even better. Absolutely love it.

I like the app but I wish there was an option to choose how many tweets it loads if you don't open it for a few days. Currently it's 2000 and that is way to many. 200 would be way better. Please let me know if there is a way to do that.

Fenix has an extensive buffer, where you can go to bed, wake up the next day and be able to catch up on your timeline. But, it could use the ability to hide retweets from the timeline as that's about 60% of what I see. Additionally, I noticed that it doesn't handle 4K photos very well. Something I found when I saved a picture, then later on saw that there was a larger photo that didn't get saved. Also the Bookmarks option doesn't seem to work properly. The ability to save videos is a good thing that it has for it. Also not seeing ads are a very bonus of it.

I'm so glad I found this app. I had been a staunch user of Tweetcaster Pro since 2014, and I was heartbroken when it started having performance issues starting a few months ago and realizing the devs no longer seemed to update it anymore. Fenix is an elegant experience and arranges the feed chronologically without having to dig into the deep recesses of the settings. While definitely not app-breaking, the ability to mute and trying to view a user's (or my own) tweets could be a bit easier.

It's good. The UI could use an updating. I'd like to see the number of replies on a tweet, too.

Wonderful Twitter app! Simple and modern design while still retaining decent functionality. Better than the official app!

I like the app. I would give it 5 stars but I can't switch to top twits as in the official app. All I have is the latest twits mode

Almost perfect. The only issue is that it doesn't refresh direct messages more than once every few minutes. And when you manually refresh it doesn't actually do it. I even tried the additional download and linking to the official Twitter app to help it load / refresh faster. No dice. So very good for everything except conversations in direct messaging.

First of all, I tried every 3rd party Twitter app over the course of 3 days and this was the last one. And I am so happy I did. Because the best was last! If you are a picture and video junkie like I am, this is the app for you. No one else displays images in your timeline so big and beautiful. Perfectly fit into the thumbnail no stretch or bad crop. Videos autoplay and a lovely one touch hold function that let's you see the image full size and instantly download or like it. Love this app! Dl It

a very nice, slick Twitter app. However, one major issue I've encountered (which the dev has not even responded to) is that the whole app freezes up for a few seconds when an update comes through that requires updating a column. This causes problems with responsiveness and if tethered to your phone as a hotspot or USB network tethering, causes the client to think the connection has dropped. Infuriating when you're online gaming or VPNed into the office, for example.

A little awkward to use at first but there are plenty of extra settings to help tailor the app to your preferred usage. It works great, it's fast, stable, doesn't have ads, doesn't force other people's likes or promoted tweets into your timeline, basically it's like if the official Twitter app was actually good and not just a waste of time. The only real issue is that it seems to lack proper reporting features of users to Twitter support (not that they ever seem to do anything worthwhile anyway)

Love the interface. The favorite users system is also really nice and the navigation is customizable and very friendly. Viewing reply threads is easy. I also don't have to put up with the nonsense the main app tried to push into feed. Within the limitations of the current API, this is the best Twitter experience I've found. I've never had good luck with their support team, but their developers seem to be good at keeping on top of things.
