Ferret WiFi

Great quality camera, the attachments are garbage though, I've had to glue the gold threaded end back on the small extension piece 3 times, I've only had this for a week! Camera constantly disconnects when you close your phone, causing you to have to turn off your wifi and start the process over each time you close your phone! Very annoying! There are a few issues with this device that need addressing!

Useless! I thought spending a fortune on this product might give me some benefit. But once the ferret is above the ceiling and more than one rod away from you the picture freezes. WiFi signal is far too weak. It does give a reasonable fixed focal length picture but there's no focus adjustments. I think this will have to go back.

Just got my new Ferret (Android based app). Is there supposed to be some visual indication that video is being recorded? Would also be nice if the screen "flashed" when taking a picture. I push buttons, and stuff happens, but I'm not getting a visual queue that anything happened. ETA: When not in silent mode, I can hear tones when the camera/video button are pressed. Would still be great to get visual indication of picture/video when on silent mode or in noisey environments.

Great functionality, video quality is much better than expected. But frustrating to set up. It would be nice if the manufacturer would have a FAQ somewhere, I ran into 3 issues: 1) Android app permissions - go into app settings and manually give it the permissions it needs 2) No video - try unscrewing the lens assembly 1/10 turn 3) No WIFI - some versions of Android will disconnect the WIFI because it has no internet access, tell it to stay connected when you get a notification

App works really well so far, would like to see manual focus stay on when menu is closed, and also would like an exit button 😊. On the device, I'd like to see a the led change colour when fully charged rather than go off, would improve charging confidence.

After receiving the Ferret it did not connect to my phone or iPad. After contacting tech support via email it was determined that it was a faulty unit and I was overnighted a new one and that one worked correctly. Tech support should have a 24hour phone number to call for more underlying issues. Should not have to press home button to get out of app, should be able to press back button without shutting screen down.

When buying the cable ferret at a trade event they said the connectivity issues have been sorted and this is correct. The quality of the app and the camera / accessories and carry case is excellent. Also, the response by the support team to emails is very quick and friendly. Highly recommended - I'm an electrician / heat pump installer.

Absolutely 💯 % life saver. Good camera, options of photo or video, great. BUT expandable stick is not good quality. Keep losing grip and twists itself. 4 ☆ because of the stick otherwise it's 5☆ any time.

I can install the app and the program. But when I turn the camera on, I receive the message "Unfortunately, Ferret WiFi has stopped". this is about the 20th attempt to get the camera working, whether it is on a tablet or my phone. At this point, I am considering this product a waste of money.

Straight forward install to get up and running, however WiFi range is woeful! Makes the product unusable in the field, as soon as there is a wall or brick then bye bye image.

Fantastic product and app!! It has helped me in many difficult situations in the past. Could you please add a zoom-in functionality?

was working fine now force closes after i hit ok when it tells me to give storage permission. and storage permission has been granted. great app really need it to work. pixel 2 xl android up to date

only used 3 times so far, does what it claims. made locating wire in walls and ceiling faster and easier . will upgrade rating after a few more uses

This used to work on my original Pixel 1 phone when I had to actually use this device on a site one day it would not work with my Pixel 4. Now testing with my wife's Pixel 3 it works just fine again. For some reason on the Pixel 4 it will not even show the Wi-Fi SSID from the ferret. 😬

Just took out of box, set up. Kept saying denied. Normal tenancy as most is to get frustrated. Emailed tech, support, as waiting for reply, read first review about going in my phone app settings and enable the ferret. Awesome. Testing so far seems great around the house. Excited to start using on future jobs. Thanks Rack a Tiers and the Ferret camera for another great tool.

Pretty slick, alot of cool extra features I didn't even know I wanted, but are very convenient. Very well designed.

JUNK Since I have Android 9 I cannot connect to the camera. Ferret's fix is to find an older android device to update the camera. I DON'T HAVE ANY OLDER DEVICES!!! I NEEDED TO USE IT TODAY!!! I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update* After placing a 1 star review for the camera not working.. turns out it was a software fault and now the camera works great! 🙂

Where has this been all my life!? I keep it on my boat and the other night it saved me when I had an engine problem. I needed to see in the dark and retrieve a part that fell between the engine and floor board. That's one strong magnet!!

Update, customer service rep contacted me and helped me resolve the issue camera now works well and have used it twice still yet to put it through its paces but so far so good. Thanks ferret

Cant even open the app to set it up.... It quits.... Plus I bought this for work and it doesn't fit a glow stick in town.... $150 paper weight...

I find the range is too small at only roughly 25 feet line of light.

It works but it is a headache cap removal for charging, turning it on/off and o'ring replacement.

Forces close when opening the gallery. Can't access stored pictures or videos.

Used for a couple of years on and off no problem. Wifi no longer works so is unusable.

Update makes it connect easily without having to turn off mobile connection.

Best piece of equipment I ever bought. This Wifi camera saved me thousands of dollars in lost time, and paying plasterers to fix holes we mat have made if it weren't for this baby.

Great tool very useful, just needs to make the connection simpler

Great product ! Use it daily in my field of work. Why even consider The Walabot ? It's just a scanner ! When The Ferret shows it all , like a live feed camera .

Game changer for sure easy to use and camera isn't choppy or fuzzy really happy with this purchase
