4 stars because there's still room for improvement in what the app already does, but it's a GREAT app. It's clean, clear, fast, and a very convenient way to use ffmpeg, just like the app description suggests, with no ads. I'd choose this app over the (somewhat more) powerful but so much more laborious and inconvenient Termux>ffmpeg option any time. The favorites & recents import/export feature (version 2.22) is a welcomed addition. Good job dev.
I love this app! Convert almost anything to almost anything. Replaced a number of bloated audio visual apps I had on my phone. Would like to see a version of ffmpeg with everything built in (especially https and svg libs). I keep finding out more that ffmpeg can do. Convert videos, images, music, audiobooks, subtitles to whatever you need. The command line is bash scriptable too. I can also save AND export my favorite scripts. And it's free! Would gladly pay for entire ffmpeg build version.
This is awesome. If you're running ffmpeg right here on the Android device, it saves lot of time in debugging and development, particularly when you're developing audio/video software product targeting Android platform. I dont have to do ADB pull and run against a desktop variant of ffmpeg, if I am interested in basic info dump and retranscode.
Works as promised, just add the optional ffmpeg libraries. Yes it is text based, but yes it does work which is what I needed. I'll learn the commands that I need. That said, they have presets to guide you along.
it's ffmpeg. I was worried that it would be entirely covered in a gui, but it's just an interface to use it normally plus some helpers. Offers for you to use your own ffmpeg binaries, which is a nice touch. The gui helps you pick files out with a file browser.
This is the perfect ffmpeg app for android ever. Yes, it's a bit hard to use at first, but after searching for the right command for what you want to do, it's easy.
Took a while but was very happy when inserting the code it knew what I was trying for with my needs. Thank you very much for this app. It does what I need, it's a fantastic powerful app :)
Hey this app is incompatible with scoped storage :(. Can you please add requestLegacyExternalStorage flag to be true in the AndroidManifest.xml for a quick fix?
Finally, found a worthy app for me! ☺️ (I will spend my tallent and time in this app). [Because, I've deleted all of my games😉] One thing you missed... That's DARK THEME! (Add this) Thank You Dear Developer(s) 🥰
"permission denied" when i try saving it on my SD card. i already put permission on the app but still wont let me save it on my sd card. any idea?
Sometimes doesn't display its menu bar, making the settings inaccessible.
Too bad, it's cannot access SD card.
It's best for video encoding ,but can you give an example of 2 pass encoding its showing Syntex error
If you are familiar with the cmdline ffmpeg then the gui helps you to align common tasks fast (within android env)
I like the UI; it's clean. Presets are helpful. Good app overall!
i would be nice if you add pause option so i can pause encoding to let my phone rest for a bit
https protocol not found, recompile FFmpeg with openssl, gnutls or securetransport enabled. & Read-only file system
This app deserves 5 starts but the developer is not giving any updates or not upgrading FFMPEG.
Being able to save custom preset is great.
[image2 @ 0xf46a0000] Pattern type 'glob' was selected but globbing is not supported by this libavformat build
You tube upload error for mp4 converted video with one image and one mp3 input file
Good to have it in our gadjet.. Nice..!
Some options need to be 'enabled 'during compile.otherwise v.v..good.
Doesn't actually come with the FFMPEG binary.
Couldn't find my device storage
it fails as it says it could not find the ffmpeg binaries
Thanks...ever..ever ever.. BEST... thanks a tonne.🍉🍉🍉
Does exactly what it is for, and does nothing more
Ffmpeg as it is. Great!
This is just the best app for converting and editing video files from any format to any other format. I cannot recommend this enough. Remember to download the conversion engine after installing (the options are in a menu) and if you are not familiar with the ffmpeg syntax, invest 5 minutes on google to find a quick guide - you will thank yourself. I am using this app on Samsung Dex on a Note 20 and there is nothing it cannot handle.
