Fiber TV

App basically allows me to see the guide, shows I have on my DVR and that are set to record, add or delete shows from my DVR. Can only stream shows to my phone while on the Wi-Fi network at home? I would think I should be able to stream shows anywhere. No real improvements made to the system, yet they are raising my monthly bill by $15. Constantly getting messages that the app has stopped working. Maybe it's time to cut the cord.

The functionallity has completly crashed. The app will no longer stream a single channel, all I get is "an error occurred during playback" for every streamable channel on the list. Edit: 2 months later and playback has resumed, but with constant skips and lags making it still unwatchable. I've noticed this mostly seems to occur on channels that are now part of Discovery+.

Used to love the app but now it's no longer showing at the top of the screen when its on, every time I want to play something new I have to open the app up, its annoying to have to open it when I want to pause play change the channel, etc, and it would be nice to be able to watch what I pay for outside of my home, I'm ready to get rid of cable

We are unable to access TV j channels using the Fiber TV app. I when I select a channel using the app a message appears stating an error has occurred press to retry. I contact Google for help but they could not fix the issue.

There's no point to this app. It's a glorified remote. You can only see everything you've recorded or want to watch (but not actually watch it on your mobile device), and you can't watch if you're not at home. At least Xfinity lets you watch when you're not on your home network. I expected better of Google.

What is the point of this app if it doesn't allow streaming on my phone? Managing DVR and checking the guide is fine I guess but not what I downloaded the app for. There is no time I would ever want to use my phone to control my tv. I have a remote.

App will eother not start playing the stream of freeze after a short while, it doesn't matter if it is over WiFi or a wired connection. Not usable at all.

This is horrible whats the point in having it on my cell if I can't watch my dvr on another Wi-Fi if I got to be home to use it on my Wi-Fi I might as well watch my tv! For Google you would think they would be advanced enough to make it appealing and convenient for the customer they keep raising prices but nothing is changing ridiculous! I am just going to uninstall it download discovery least I will have something to watch when away from home that it also don't have to be my Wi-Fi! I mean thats thw whole purpose to be able to watch away from home! Why would I want to watch tv on my phone when I am at home? Stupid!

This is worthless. It makes your mobile device a glorified remote. Whenever I try to watch what is recorded on the dvr, it changes the channel in the living room. My wife doesn't really want to watch basketball games. And I don't want to watch Bravo. For Google this is highly disappointing.

When I click on a show to watch on my phone the audio will suddenly make this annoying screeching sound like, "Errr, reee-kerrrr" and the show/movie can't be heard at all. It also won't cast to my LG t.v.

App no longer works. Will not stream any channels. Worked fine for years. Unable to stream anything. Uninstaller and reinstalled problem still unable to stream.

Cannot access TV in the app. Keep getting an error message. Have tried on multiple devices and it just won't work.

Crashes constantly giving me a error message, even though I never use it. Any app that restarts itself w/o my knowledge is a problem. Uninstalling.

Very limited for live TV. Like 14 channels. Can't stream most recorded content. A disappointment of an app that could be great.

Limited functionality. Will not show all channels in live view, or currently recorded shows. Otherwise seems to work OK.

Won't play on my s10+ anymore. I've been using this app for years and one day, boom, stopped working. I'll update when it fixes.

A second phone reboot cleared up my channel access issue. I do think the app should allow mobile devices to access DVR. Devices are on home network, so what's the limitation?

Your app has not been working since March 25. You would think a corp. as big as Google would be able to recognize and fix a problem in under 48 hrs, but I guess not.

Love google fiber beats cable 10000000 times over. No 6 month increases for long time customers . They let you know 3 months ahead if thete will be an increase and that was only 1 time in the 3 years . Thank you plus newsy is great

Pointless. There's nothing available to actually stream on your phone, soooo why would you want to just view available titles that you have to go home to watch anyway?!?

I like being able to record something if i forgot to while i was at home, but why the heck can I not watch tv on my dang phone? Even if you only gave me the option to watch only what has been recorded would be fine with me.

TV streaming stops working all the time since my phone was upgraded to Android Pie. Please issue bug fixes.

App does not connect to the box half of the time. You have to restart your phone before it will connect

Since last update I get errors trying to watch TV from app I reinstalled the app cleared data and cache still not working.
