FieldMove Clino
As well as supporting online Google Maps, FieldMove Clino also supports offline maps, so that you can import your own georeferenced basemaps and collect data while disconnected. Data can be exported as MOVE, CSV or KMZ files and then imported directly into FieldMove™, Move™ or other applications like Google Earth.

Decent app for on the fly fieldwork. Call me old school, but I still prefer a Brunton and a notebook for my research projects. I do appreciate the ease of access this provides for a new class of geologist (students, hobbiest, etc.) that need/want to engage in fieldwork. I also love that I can grab a measurement and jot a note while our for a casual hike. One suggestion: automatically add images of measurement screen to the export file. It would be handy for presentation materials.
Geologist here. Great GUI and simple layout, very logical. Problem with Save feature fixed, sort of. HOWEVER, save to kmz feature broken, error is "Parse error at line 10, column 0. No elerment found. Open file failed". Can hardly wait for the fix.. Strikes and dips accurate compared to Brunton compass. Ease of use will actually retire my notebook method of data and photo entry. Finally.. Program is free, and no adds. Please hurry on that update, this could be a GREAT app, best of best.
Sorry to rate this way, but enormous bug with data saving. In the middle of my field sampling campaign the software just erased all the previous (hundreds) data leaving me with nothing, just a new project once I opened the app. Disappointing
Clino has been my best buddy in field expeditions, but now this is showing 10 degree error in north finding, I double checked this with my mobile compass which is correct but clino app error is still there.
Best mapping app currently available. Just one request to Midland Valley. Can you please remove the GPS on /off button from the top right or atleast have a warning that GPS is off.
Field move keeps deleting my projects. I want field move to keep my projects stored so I can access them the next day or two but it keeps deleting the project. Some times, these are data that costs a fortune to collect so I want to know if they are stored somewhere I can easily retrieve? Is it a hardware issue? I am using Oppo A9 2020.
This is awesome. Using it for field camp! Everything I need and a great UI.
It a great piece of software with one major flaw- its too easy to accidentally turn off the gps.

I can' t save the data from the compass. Why is that?
Very good app. I trialled it on site yesyerday, and overall it worked rather well. I have two comments I would like the developers to be aware of: - When adding in comments to data after collecting them, I have found that the app crashes upon inputting a 2nd comment. Fortunately it saves the comment, but I have to reopen the app and get back to where I was. - An undo option for discarding data would be ideal. I accidently just deleted a data point and have lost it for good.
