I have just installed this app on my android device, and I already have used it for transferring rar archive files and videos between my shared folder on Windows 10 and my android device on a local area network (on the same WiFi network). It was awesome. There was no need to keep the phone screen on. So, it was not a strain on the phone battery, and there were no connection problems. It was very easy. Please keep up the good job you are doing, and please do not go the way Zapya or ShareIt have gone.
Stupid. Not intuitive. Not straight forward. Too many useless bells and whistles. Nice large images but can't view files on sd card. It pretends to be intelligent but makes wrong decision. Deleting after posting comment.
I had a large directory of important files. I tried to move it to the SD card. It moved part of it, and the rest mysteriously disappeared, and it never finished doing whatever it was doing. That was the first and only thing I used this program for. I will now uninstall it.
App does basically nothing. There are no help files. Does not see the network the device is attached to, and there is no discernable way to make it do so.
Has always worked great for my frequent Smb/Windows share needs (except for win 10, which has some PITA issue with ALL programs where it won't let them write to the share even with permissions).
It works great! Simple and straight forward. I needed a file explorer that showed thumbnails for my NAS. While I don't like the caching of opened files from my NAS to be stored on my phone, I did notice cache can be cleared from the settings at any time and a limit on cache size can be set directly in the app. I would only prefer a setting for cache to be cleared automatically on closing the app. A little more testing but I'm leaning more towards purchasing the 'Pro' version.
I have a network Nas (SMB) that doesn't like to connect with a lot of file management apps but this one connects without a problem! I Probably tried over a dozen different ones before I found this one. Most wouldn't connect at all, but some would connect but wouldn't let me see the files. So if you are looking for an app to access LAN storage, this is it!
This is a really great app. So powerful and able to connect to various servers, net-filesystems and plays movie and music files. The only thing that is missing for me is the ability to open a second or even third"virtual" window, and switch between the windows by scrolling left/right. It would be nice e.g. having one window open for local storage, and another for NAS storage. It would be easy to copy files from one to the other, without browsing through the whole directory tree back and forth (ES File explorer has this feature, but it does not handle smb protocol 2.0 without paying monthly)
It replaced CX file manager for me, therefore I can say that this is the big deal, this is the BEST free file explorer on Android. What made me make the transition was: 1) The blazingly faster indexing algorithm. 2): Dark mode support (even tho the UI needs little more polishing). And the embedded video player is actually pretty good, just wish the skip time was less than 15 seconds. I can't think of any complaints thus far and hence it deserves 5 stars, and it deserves it really well indeed.
this is a new app for me I see how your package builds up direct filling in Field option into grade value but place scripture is very case invision of change scope
Original Review: Great app. I wish it could generate all the thumbnails of a folder, pictures or videos. And it would be cool to access external hard drives that are connected to my PC through the app. Update: now I can't log into my pc through the app. I enter the right credentials and keeps saying it's wrong.
Liked so paid for pro on android and ios. Everything in one app. A little pressure to buy pro but not unexpected.
I struggled to upload media to my zyxel NAS with the zCloud app as it is very buggy, I found that tip on a zyxel forum to use this app instead. It works great so-far
This is one of the very few file manager apps that can correctly handle AD DFS folder targets. Almost all other apps either can't list DFS folder contents or out right won't connect. One thing that bothers me is this app doesn't use dual panes approach, so copying multiple sub-folders from different folders within internal storage to SMB share requires selecting the SMB share every single time. Imagine selecting a folder in a SMB share that is 5+ levels deep everytime...
Very nice app but the main reason I wanted to use it was for sharing files with my windows pc. The problem is that the modified date is not preserved when the files are getting transferred which is quite important for me. Is there any solution?
It's a great file browser that lets me view files from my NAS. That was I can view recipes, pictures, videos, and other documents easily right from my phone.
I use it to connect to a shared folder on my pc and it works flawlessly, and is easy to use. Love the favorites section. Only thing i would like them to add is to hide all the other options i dont use.
fast way to share files to your pc shared folder
Great app especially for NAS storage access
I was looking for a file manager that could connect to a Mac OS file share with as little headache as possible, similar to what I had on iOS and I've finally found it in this app. All other apps I've tried either straight up fail or require setting up an alternative share mechanism to get it to work, like FTP or SFTP.
Extracts Files. Can get annoying with extra folders being placed but I can always cut those out. Doesn't require most of your phone permissions to be accessed.
I have a copy on IOS that is wonderful. I have a copy on Android. To me there is a HUGH hole with android version... no file sync. I asked over a year ago... oh yeah, we're working on it, working on it, working on it, working on it... do you see a pattern here? 5 star for IOS, 2 star for that missing file sync. Makes a great app only fair.
Come for SMB support. That's working alright. Annoying: can't move from phone to SMB storage, but have to first copy and then delete it on the phone. One unnecessary step. Also it seems that fe is using a lot of memory.
Makes access to files and places like NAS drives very easy. I think it needs more support on audio files that aren't mp3. Other than that, great bit of software.
1 star for requiring a review just to use it. All apps deserve one star until they're actually used. I'll bump it up after actual experience using it.
Does not work. Will not recognize my PC. After two tries, will not allow anymore attempts to connect. Just prompts for buying the pro version. Total waste of time.
Installed about 10 minutes ago and I must submit a review already! As of the end of March 2022, this is the only app I could find that enabled me to access/ download all the files I shared over an SMB server on a mac OS. After a recent change (don't know what, specifically) I have not been able to do that for more than a month! FE completely solved the issue (versus none of the other dozen or so applications I tried before...); many thanks to the developer!
