File Widget - home screen file browser and viewer
It can display images and plain text files, such as your favourite photos or a to-do list, right alongside your app icons.
It's also a complete file manager allowing you to create, move, copy, rename and delete files and folders without the need for another app (upgrade required).
Once installed it can be found in the widget drawer of your app launcher. To use it, long press on an empty area of your home screen and choose Widgets. Tap and hold on File Widget and drag it into place.
With this version you can:
- Browse your files in list or gallery view
- Display images, plain text files and PDFs
- Open and share files
- Choose between five different themes
- Use one widget at a time
After upgrading you can also:
- Use multiple widgets at once
- Create new folders and text files
- Move, copy, rename and delete files and folders
Please note:
- Only the following file types can be displayed: JPG, PNG, GIF, TXT and PDF. Animated GIFs will not animate.
- If you are running Android 4.4 (KitKat) the file management features will not work with files stored on a removable SD card. This is a KitKat limitation.

I don't know if i'm missing something....? 🤔 (I am still having a lot of problems with my new tablet setup.) I need an app like this one but i need to access folders on my SD card not the internal storage. I can't seem to be able to do it. It would be the perfect app if i could reach my folders from desktop. I'll mess with it some more but if there's no SD card access i can't use it 😕
I love everything. But I NEED the option for a monospace font. I don't know how to set it, or if there is a way. Another nice thing to have would be the ability to view markdown (Basic stuff like italics and bolding, maybe headers?). But if I could get monospacing, it would really elevate the experience for me. Thanks.
A good app, but would be great if we could zoom into the PDF document. Some text is tiny to read. Also reseting the scrolling to the first page of PDFs on the widget is frustrating, as one has to continually scroll down to the original position again.
Very useful. Just missed 5/5. It is missing critical parts. I am looking for this, but able to play media files also. At bare minimum popular audio files. Thanks for the great work.

This widget has some great functionality. The one feature I'm missing is the ability to have the image-based widgets respect the alpha channel of PNG files, showing through to the home screen. If this gets fixed I'll bump my review up to 5 stars.
Great app for putting a shortcut to a folder containing different types of files on my home screen, something I still think my phone should be able to do on its own, but this is a great fix!
It doesn't linked my mp4 tutorial to my home screen. Other explorer can't do it either. First a older file widget from 2012 could do the job. This more modern here couldn't? I'm not impressed.
Widget of a text file is Scrollable and Sizable ! That means it can be used as a Sticky Note, and one long list of reminders can be safely stored within a textfile. Thanks !

It's ok, but was hoping for some kind of playlist and/or randomise option giving u the option to shuffle and show custom chosen files in the widget... 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Very convenient, very handy~ already a great app. But, just in case the devs are listening, it'd be even better if there was a way to sort photos by: random. Will increase to 5 well-deserved stars if you can make that happen
I loved this app before but since the last Android update it no longer opens my pdf. I emailed in but still no response. If the problem can be fixed I would give it 5 stars

none of my pdfs will actually open from this widget. they're listed there but when I try to open them, the screen flashes and then closes. the widget is useless
Works great in Android 9, not on 7. Widgets don't show as available in the launcher.
A good app... Purchased the premium version.. but disappointed with no bulk sharing and delete option... Please add this feature...then it will b more productive..pls

Application is good. *But, videos, songs etc. can't play from the widget, it is crashing always. **Photos are not showing in the album. When tap on any image from the widget, showing only a Black square in the album. ***PDF and other texts are not able to read as it's fonts are showing very small. Please provide a zoom option for better reading. Please update. Thanks. Android 11
