Final Countdown - Widget

I am a long time user. Seems as though this version is a relaunch of the app. This version doesn't have all the features I remember from the last. Seems that the count up feature is not totally functional. I entered my birth date and set the count up option. My age displayed as -62.9. I'm 74. Some of the other time measurements also displayed a negative value. Most of all I absolutely detest the Calendar. Entering a past date over a few years takes forever.

Sometimes it works, but sometimes updates to Android OS software make this app unusable. Ever since the latest software update earlier this past week, whenever I add the Final Countdown widget to one of my Home Screens, it just adds a blank space. When it finally does work, the countdown timer often gets "frozen" or doesn't quite countdown until I restart my Android device, then I have to remove & re-add the widgets to my home screen. I like this app widget too much to try a new one!

Works pretty well, except the widgets have the annoying, frequent tendency to become invisible on my home screen. Like, I can't see them, but no other apps or widgets can be placed where they are. Sometimes if I open the app and then go back to my homescreen they will have reappeared, but it's super annoying to have to do this rather than just be able to look at the widgets, which is their main purpose. If anyone has any fixes to this, it would be much appreciated.

Nothing was fixed, uninstalled. *Please fix the ability to delete expired countdowns! I am also now having issues seeing the widgets on my home screens.. please fix. I have been using this app for a long time and have loved it, until now. For some reason I cannot delete any of my countdowns. I click the trash icon and its like I just clicked the countdown itself. Very frustrating I can't get rid of these. Please fix and I'll go up to 5 stars. I just can't right now with this issue. Thank you!

The app is unique compared to other count down apps do to it having the option to add an event to your home screen and have a back ground picture. Unfortunately the event on your home screen locks up almost all the time and you have to hit the event which takes you into the app to get the home screen event caught up which kind of defeats the purpose of having the event on your home screen. It's a pretty good app because it's the only option with these "features" out there. It needs competition.

An update has made this useless. I used to rely in this app. I love a countdown to an event and the widgets provided by this app were perfect. Since an update some months ago, the widgets just stopped working which made this app pointless. I'm autistic and this caused a mini meltdown for me. Having to change from being able to rely on something and then not is very hard for me. I do hope this can be updated and starts working again!!

Decent app, great timers, nice widget, but more options need added and there is a minor bug with scrolling. First I'll talk about the scrolling problem, my phones resolution is 360x640 and I estimate when I scroll 70-90 pixels down the menu jitters back and forth which can be annoying. Now the options I think that would really make the app. Add the ability to set an event as your lockscreen, also add the ability to move the time over the widget. Would rate 5 stars, but adding your own background image seems to be buggy with my recent usage. (I've used it in the past, and it was perfect). When trying to add an image from my gallery, I get the error, "Unable to connect to server. Please check your internet and try again." It's not my internet. I'm not having problems with any other apps or internet usage. I closed and restarted the app, as well as restarted my phone. Still get the same error.

I used to love this app but it's become glitchy and it seems the developers have abandoned it. The delete feature no longer works so I have a whole list of countdowns blinking 00000 at me. The widget no longer works either which was the main reason I loved this app. It will either stay frozen at a certain time not showing the proper time or won't show on the homescreen at all. Really wish they had kept this working properly. Time to find another countdown app.

Does what it says, for free. Comes with a great widget! The ads are not very intrusive, just a little banner at the bottom of the screen. $1.99 or 4 referrals to remove them if they really bother you that much or want to support the devs. Other optional premium content, truly not needed but neat. Thanks!

I love the app. I tried to contact the developer with feedback, but the contact email doesn't work, so here it is: I was wondering if you might be willing to add the option to disable the notification when a countdown runs out. For some timers, I have a widget on my home screen to see the countdown, and I would prefer the zero mark to come and go quietly for those timers without notifying me. Thanks!

I've had this program for a few years now and it's great until last week. While the program itself works, the widgets do not. I keep getting the error "Problem loading widget". My phone recently updated to Android 11 and the problem appeared soon after. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. Let me know if you need any other info. It finally broke with the update to Android 11. The app works, but widgets is broken and that REALLY decreases the impact/usability of the application. I see it's not really supported anymore, so I'd recommend against getting it. It's been one of the longest lived apps on my phones... so it's sad to see it potentially reach EOL.

using the app at time tends to be difficult. the ability to get the changes implemented are frustrating because at times the tab for OK is not there and I have to redo everything many times. However, once the app has accepted the changes it runs like a charm. It is still a very good app and I say download it. I have numerous friends and family using this app and they all like it.

It's great for counting down, but it goes off in the middle of the night or day....and I don't need it to. It does automatically count down to major holidays, which is great...but I don't need it going off in the middle of the night to let me know it's christmas, new years, easter, or whatever. It wouldbe nice if alarms were OFF by default, and not ON.

I've tried countless other apps. None seem to satisfy my needs for a tracker like this app. How ever visually its 👎. It seems as if the app owners have just forgotten and moved on. I've seen some say contacting support or the email doesn't work and that its not been updated in 4yrs. Its a shame. This was the best one yet imo.

Pretty nice app my only complaint is that when you have the smaller size widget applied to phone the background photo is covered over by the countdown timer. You can't get the countdown timer to move down to the bottom or middle as selected it stays to the top always unless you open it full size on the phone. Please fix...

This App is horrible and horribly frustrating! It doesn't give you an "okay" button to finalize your date and time choices. It just keeps sending you in a continuous loop between choosing the date and time. I tried to watch the video for help, but it does not match the app. Complete waste of time.

I have used this app for several years religiously and after changing phones losing my custom skins and countdowns twice I paid for the cloud backup. Some ridiculous irrelevant be Facebook permissions thing shows up and bottom line is it will never work. emailed the developer and they never replied. don't offer upgrades that can't be used. there is no reason for cloud backup or even a simple data export to not work especially when paid for. fix it or refund me.

There is a serious bug that causes the app ignoring the alarm being disabled. Even though the 'reminder' is disabled and the sound is set to 'none', the app still sounds an alarm. Vibration cannot be disabled at all. I don't understand how can anyone be selling a buggy app like that.

Liked it at first but now I'm annoyed. Paid to upgrade so the widget would have more detail but it just refuses to work the way it should. I want the photo in the backround and the information at the bottom so it doesnt cover everyone's face but no matter what I do, the info is at the top instead. I've deleted and added it back like 15 times now and it still doesn't work!!!!

I had this app and it stopped working? Maybe because I quit facebook? It's garbage now. I kept resetting the time and skin color. They just wouldn't work. I wasted 15 minutes trying to do an event, so I uninstalled it!!! I can't reclaim my 15 minutes, but I can get rid of a time vulture.

Perfectly exactly what you would want if the description sounds like something useful to you. One issue is that sometimes the additional details of a countdown doesnt show up properly, showing an error of all 8s. However, a restart of the app once or twice usually corrects the issue, and its not inconvenient enough (for me at least) to negatively effect all of the very efficient, position aspects.

Dev! Two important things... 1-You have to deny permission for your app to be installed on external storage. It won't show up in the widget list if it is. 2-While you're fixing that, could we maybe get rid of the alarm icon when there isn't one set? My OCD thanks you haha!

This is super unfortunate because I like all the options this app offered, but after the most recent Android update (Android 11 in January 2021) the widget will no longer load. I looked at a few other countdown apps and do not like them at all. Hopefully they can fix the issues.

Two things keep this from being a five-star app...1. When I try to add a background image, I get a "unable to connect to server" message...2. I've noticed that this app hasn't been updated since 2016! Four years without an update? Is there no desire to update FC or make it better? Don't let complacency get the best of you guys or someone's going to come up with a better app and put you out of business!

Good options to create your own countdown. Only real complaint is the widget sometime stops. Checked my settings to make sure my phone wasn't force stopping it but still happens. I use this for the teams I coach. Great job guys. Widget keeps disappearing. Not sure why...
