It is definitely the worst Final Fantasy that I've ever played (and I played a lot of them, big fan of the series). The plot is terrible and while telling the story about time travelling doesn't capture the concept of time travel in any way. The dialogs between characters are dull. The characters themselves may be ok in concept, but have nothing behind that. The battles are too simplistic, the animation of characters is scary. Music is good, but becomes too repetitive too fast. Not recommended.
I have zero issues with the gameplay style. Im enjoying it. Although the resolution is messed up. Buttons I need to click are outside the screen and I cant click them. Unplayable. Since others have had this issue and it hasn't been fixed, this game should be pulled from the market.
Another interesting side final fantasy game. It was surprising to learn that it uses some ideas from chrono cross's canceled sequel. While Dimensions 2 is an offline version of a gatcha game, it feels like a Mystic Quest homage at times. When playing don't expect a mainline Final Fantasy game, it's a side game that blends several different games together.
Nothing to do with Final Fantasy Dimensions. This is just a cheap flash game. No exploration, you just select the quest through a basic menu and it load a boring series of battle waves with a typical JRPG chat before and after the battles. It is really the gameplay of a free game for a premium price. Sadly, the refund option is not available... They really used the name of a great game to get our money with a generic Android JRPG.
Not the same game play as the first Final Fantasy Dimensions. There is no exploring. I ended up playing for the side quests because some are funny. Shops all sell the same items and is hard to make money. I find it strange that the first Final Fantasy Dimensions was my favorite final fantasy game ever played and Final Fantasy Dimensions 2 was the worst!
It's NOT Dimensions-only-better. Don't expect it to be anything as good as FF Dimensions. It is okay for what it is. It's a port of an online-only game, and it stays true to its roots. I got it to play when I knew I wouldn't have internet connectivity, since that's how the original Dimensions was, but this game required internet access. No reason for that, as far as I can tell. Even beyond that aspect, it's sapped out a lot of the fun of the Final Fantasy enterprise. Any FF game is better.
game no longer fits properly on samsung galaxy S8 or S9 since android pie update, top and bottom are offscreen. i can't see the first party members hp, mp, or summon gauges auto and speed buttons are almost off screen cant press em easily (in a phone case) cant read eidolons names, cant see enemy bars on bottom back button is barely on screen, have to use phones back button cant see how much gil or babils tower crystals i have. still playable but ruins the experience.
It's pretty bad. This game felt like a rushed version of FF Mystic Quest. The characters are uninteresting, skills appear to be randomly allocated, the story was boring. Just go play FF Dimensions 1 instead. Even if you've played it before already, another playthrew of that game will be better than this game. (Note I didn't finish this game, I got bored and stopped playing in the middle of chapter 2.)
I like how the story is the focus of this game even more so than other Final Fantasy games. Yes, exploration is gone, but so are obnoxious random encounters. The battles you fight all have story behind them. While it is unfortunate that a lot of expectations were set and not met by this new format, in it's own right this is a great game. If you want a game in the Final Fantasy universe that is more like playing a story and less like grinding through a JRPG, this game is for you.
I was a little disappointed with this game considering how much I loved the original FFD. It feels like the creators went full on lazy mode on the creation process, the story was borrowed from Chrono Trigger with a predestination paradox tied in, on that note - one of the characters in the game strangely resembles a dollar store version of Magus. The script felt weak as if they had really cut the budget when it came to the writing team. Overall it is an ok game.
The screen ratio has been fixed. It's a fun game with a fair amount of ability choices. It's a final fantasy game with some Chrono Trigger themes
I've owned this game now for 3 years and they still have not updated the game to fit modern displays. Almost insulting really as they have updated games older than this. Square Enix Mobile team are lazy as hell. Edit: added 2 stars as they FINALLY updated the game to fit on modern mobiles. Problem is the game is very much a free to play game converted to premium and it shows.
Feels like a free-to-play. Unbelievable step down in quality from the first. The battles are changed to be simpler, more basic and the whole game is just menus and battles. It's truly terrible and I am angry to have wasted my money. Just don't buy it, seriously.
Totally horrible. Aspect ratio was off. Cant even see certain functions at the top and bottom of the screen. Gameplay was totally off. Disgrace to final fantasy. What a rip off from squareenix. This game is so bad, its a disgrace, in fact its a rip off. Thanks square enix for ripping people off
extremely shallow. It plays like one of those shovel ware games where you have to wait around for energy or pay for micro transactions except they took all that out and revealed a shallow core gameplay. The premise of time travel is interesting but wasted here. Waste of money.
this game have a good story, and I like it but, I change my phone, and the resolution did not suit my new phone, dear square enix team, please give this game an update for fixing the resolution. I really need this since the picture is cropped in my new phone thank you very much After 1 / 2 years they repair it I so happy
interface is cut off on the Pixel 3 XL. The top and bottom of the interface are offscreen and given the age of the app ant the fact that it's a big brand that made it, I doubt it'll be fixed.
Would enjoy better if the screen fit on my galaxy Note 9. Looks great and fun combat mired by the fact that I could not see and barely interact with things like the menu button. Please fix
I downloaded final fantasy dimension 2 on the Samsung note 9 and all incos are not in frame as fullscreen is optimised as anyone else had this issue?? Dose anyone actually look at the reviews I sent messages for a refund and no message back 😡 I would like a other game around same price instead of ffd2
Love FF series. As with most other reviews. Poor resolution scaling. Can't see full screen. Update and correct this issue and perhaps you have a working game.
i want to give it 5 stars. really like it. to bad it doesnt adjust to the screen. so i cant get to the main menu or back button. fix that and ill buy the game again.
great game! But unfortunately the game isnt compatible with newer phone generations like the Samsung note 8 and s9 screen sizes. A really good game but lack of updates prevent me from keeping this game so I refunded. hopefully would love to purchase when/if square decides to update, though I doubt they will.
Apparently I got and beat this game before the aspect ratio problem. Oh well. I loved it! Very original story and characters and super fun rewarding game play. I ended up 100 percenting the game.
Hey! I refunded the purchase because the size of the game doesn't fit the screen S10+ (oversize) and it seems like this game no more update since it launch. Definately will purchase again when the problems solved!
Itd be a five star but i got a new phone n downloaded this game, and the app screen is too big for my phone. Now, it wouldnt be a issue but i cant access my menu or travel to different times so im stuck in the present. Please fix the screen so i can continue to enjoy this amazing game
Game doesn't fit properly on my screen and there's no options to adjust it... Can even say I'm enjoying it fully given that it looks as if a quarter of the screen is not displaying
I can't play it because of the screen ratio. I literally can't see how much HP my top character has and it cut off the auto button as well. I think the menu button is also no longer visible. I remember on my pixel 3 it was bad, but I could still hit the buttons, even though they were about 70-80 percent off off-screen, but this is way worse. I can't even save the game when I want to and I'm at the mercy of the auto save. Are there any plans to fix this or no?
