The game is good overall but... Controls are clumsy, graphics are average, auto-saves are useless because we don't know when the game has been saved, and... THERE IS NOT ANY WAY TO ACCESS SAVE FILES WITHOUT ROOTING THE PHONE!!! So if you can't safely root your phone (like with LG G3 F460S Marshmallow (it's very specific to this model and android version)) you'll loose all your progress when changing your phone. Great. It's not hard to implement a feature to export save files!

Awesome game! I'm enjoying it a lot. Controls take a bit getting used to, but not the worst. I dont like how it freezes sometimes after I switch apps etc. It should be a game you can put down at any time to do other things, but I find that I'm unable to because it will freeze and lose my progress mid battle. Edit: the mid battle freeze happens way too often and I lose progress constantly if I accidently switch to a different task or minimize. 2 stars until it's fixed

I give it 5* simply for the fact I can play it on my ph. I truly love this game. It was this, and Legends of Dragoons. Story is good and fairly complex. Speed running this game, is amazing. Overall, this port is very good. Just save often. The only bug I've found is with the switching of apps. If you don't switch back within 3 minutes (it can range from 2-5 depending on the phone). The game will black screen and be restarted at your last save. The online support and resources are unreal. 9.8/10.

Played the PS1 version so many times, but this is a nice refresh. Only issues: 1. Why on earth are the Genji equipment unstealable? 2. Sometimes a terrain is tricky to select due to the nature of the controls and camera. 3. The game can cease working if you leave it in the background long enough. Well worth the money. Recommended.

It is so close to being five stars, but I notice that when I bounce between it and another app it often (but not always) crashes and freezes sometimes, forcing me to close it. Other than that, it runs great, no other issue with it, glad to have it back, though I do miss the network features the PSP version had.

I just got the game. I figured out the save issues. When you go to load, it says it was paused and to continue. Say cancel and go into your last actual save file. If you don't do this and continue from a paused moment, that could be before a recent save and you will lose progress. Ever since I figured this out, no other issues. Unless it crashed before your save, then maybe say yes. I are smart. Lol. Great game!

FFT is what it is, one of the best games ever. The mobile port isn't perfect though. The old horrible arrow key system is gone now and the game acts in touch screen as supposed to. The top and bottom bars look horrible though and removing them would allow the screen area to be stretched in vertical as well because the aspect ratio is the original, meaning black spaces on left and right side.

Samsung S20 - This game seems like it's pretty cool... however, I can't get it to run in full screen. I'm playing it on Samsung S20 - and I should be able to play it full screen - Old School Runescape and other games run in full screen just fine. And there's an option in settings to make an app full screen - this does not work. The navigation bar remains active at the side of the screen when I'm playing - it's really distracting and breaks immersion.

Samsung Z Fold 3. I've always loved this game. Playing on the full screen is just as good, if not better than the PSP/Vita, and doesn't suffer from the animation slowdown issue. It's missing the multiplayer functions of the original, but that's not a deal breaker.

I love this game, I played it in the original PS1, I played the remake in the PSP and I bought it on Android so that I could enjoy it again. The UI is slapdash and doesn't look like the screenshots here and always shows the phone's home buttons, the fact that the game isn't displayed on Fullscreen but rather off-to-the-right and the baffling decision to not make the time and battery display a toggable option from the menu. It really takes me out of the experience.

Fantastic game with huge nostalgia points. This version had a serious issue with its save game feature. As in, you save your game, you exit the game, and when you come back to the game you've lost all progress that was saved. The game is rather unplayable until this gets fixed. Shame you can't try a game before you buy it, I might have just wasted $12 on a useless game taking up space in my phone.

The game is a classic. I was skeptical about a mobile/tablet port, figuring a touchscreen would be clunky for the game's mechanics. It actually works pretty well assuming you have a decent device. You might occasionally select the wrong unit or spot on the map or be forced to pivot and zoom the camera to do exactly you want, but considering the game was designed to be played with a PS1 controller, it's a pretty admirable port.

If you enjoyed the original final fantasy tactics or if you like strategy games, this is a good pick. The conversion to touch screen is decent and once you become comfortable with the interface, the game is pretty smooth. Personally, I loved FFT so this is a home run/slam dunk. A home dunk. Slam run. Good. Get it. Get it now. And play it.

This game is just as great as It was on PS1. While some changes have been made to the dialogue, the story is true to the original. I cannot understand where any of the complaints come from, as I have had zero issues with glitching or crashing. It is not a pay to play, but a pure rpg adventure with tactical battle elements, I love this game. I put in several hundred hours in the original, and found all of the secret summons, spells and items in this remaster. Epic game and fantastic story!

I bought it because it is still my favourite strategy game to this day. Its just annoyingly unplayable on touch screen, pretty damn frustrating botnto be able to upload saves and it should now be saving anywhere so you can resume easily on the go. You know, like a mobile game. Why not put it back on console. You would sell more and we would be able to enjoy it. Easy money i guess.

I love this game! This is one of those games you can pick up years later and costs nothing. I played this game when it first came out decades ago! There is no other game like this that I know of. Hours of game play, that you need to use your brain for! 20+ years later still fun to play and develope characters. Some updates could be due though. It is a little weird that you can beat game without unlocking all the jobs. Intercise in midnight depths needs some work as you can't select every tile.

Awful port. Game almost unplayable on touch screen. It's not as fluid and you will struggle with the controls. Also sounds and animations are just wrong. Too fast, different pitch, it just feels weird. I can't imagine playing this all the way. Google won't give me a refund. I wish I could get my money back.

Unequivocally the Best Single-Player RPG of All Time. This game has plot, a deep and emotional story with plenty of nuance. It has a very interactive and customizable job system that allowed for great replay value as you can replay with completely different units and squads. You can also play this thing close to the edge or you can easily min-max it, your choice! This is absolutely my favorite all-around video game of any kind of all time. That goes for both versions.

Fantastic game. The original Tactics has always had a special place in my hear from the start, with the re-release of WotL, I fell in love again. The story is fantastic, the gameplay is marvelous. The only issue I have with the mobile version is, and I'm sure I'm echoing this, the lack of controller support. If this was playable with a controller, it'd be 5/5. As well, and this could be my phone, it seems a little too exited to press some buttons sometimes.

Hands down, my favorite FF game of the franchise, also one of my favorite games of all time. Unfortunately the mobile port doesn't work well with android phones. I repeatedly lost chunks of game data when my play was interrupted from phone calls or when my phone switches into battery saver mode. Game requires constant attention to the save function, but it is one of the greatest games of all time. TL;DR Great game, app can't be interrupted.

The original FFT was my favorite game when it came out and for years after. This version has a much better translation, really cool cell-shaded animations (replacing the original - now dated - FMVs) with decent voice work. Lots of small things have different names, particularly in the class abilities realm and just generally make more sense than the original. Now the bad: There is no controller support. This is particularly egregious since the touch control system, while not terrible, is considerable slower than using a controller interface would be in the original. This can make battles take forever. If you're playing on a device larger than a phone, you will have an easier time. No controller support in a premium game is very disappointing. Overall, it's still a really great game stuck with a glaring interface problem. Given the age of the release, it's very unlikely controller support will ever be added.

It's a little difficult with it just being a touch screen as there are moments when you can't click in a specific place because...ya know...touch screen...HOWEVER! It's pretty fantastic. I don't have a lot of problems with the game so far on here. Some people have been upset about it crashing with their specific phones. So while that's a possibility, the game ports well enough. You'll have fun and enjoy it. It does try to drain your battery. If you have it plugged in then it suddenly stops draining your battery and requires next to nothing by way of power. But, again, might be phone dependent. I haven't found a controller specifically for it just yet but I'm hoping there is one.

Excellent modern version of this game. From someone who still has the original PSX game, I can say this definitely brought back nice memories. Some of the text has changed, for instance: Ramza's initial skill, 'Guts' has been renamed 'Mettle'. Most of the other skill trees have been renamed as well, I imagine. The game runs a lot faster and smoother than on the PlayStation, and the cutscenes in-between are a welcome addition. Also, the ability to skip the 'long and grueling text over still images' cutscenes, and any dialogues at all is also fantastic, as I'm sure I will be playing this game over and over. All in all, a great throwback to one of my favorite games in the FF universe. If you played it then, play it now!
