Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, the buggy, submarines, airships, and other modes of transportation may cease to move when the player embarks or disembarks. Currently, the only fix is to restart the game from a data file saved before the bug occurred. We recommend saving frequently and/or utilizing multiple save files. This bug occurs most often when players embark or disembark while extremely close to the terrain, as well as during time-sensitive activities for events.
Please note that the game will not save automatically when escaping from a battle on the world map, even if the Auto Save function is set to the ON setting.===============

Story

A bare bones port of a beloved classic JRPG. I think you would need the allure of nostalgia to enjoy this game as there are many bugs and the game always shuts itself down in the background causing me to lose progress. The frame rate in the battles is brutal, I'm really not sure how this game made it out of QA. That said I love ff7 and always keep coming back for more, so a mediocre port is better than no port.
Final fantasy 7 is truly an amazing game I really enjoy playing it it's great has a good story and a good combat system some of you have been writing on that you couldn't figure out how to activate the navigation map on the world map I found out how to do it press s1 or S2 while you're on the world map and it will open the navigation map so that you can see where you need to be going hope you all enjoy fighting as much as I do and saving the world and finding the materia
So, ff7 was my original game... That game that gets you hooked on gaming. So I love this release... It's a faithful port that I can play in small chunks of time. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the mini game issue. The mini games are unplayable at their present speed which is way too fast. This is unfortunate as I used to love going to gold saucer and run the mini games again and again. In this port I mostly dread them coming and just hope I can get a lucky run in and get through it.
I love the game! Yall did a excellent job on it! The only issue I keep running up on, is during the first launch with cid. When it does the flashback of when he had to stop, the counter gets to 00:00 it's like it freezes, not actually freeze but just like the gameplay is in a loop. I've tried reloading n doing it again, same thing over n over. If you can look into it, I'd really appreciate it cause I love this game!
The original FF VII on the PSX is an amazing game. The port to Android has been done adequately. However, controls could have been done slightly better and the game does appear to have a few minor bugs. I found that the motorcycle mini-game was unplayable, because of the absurd speed. Any other glitches or bugs are not noteworthy. At least, while running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7.
Good port and nostalgia. There are a few bugs hence the 3 star review. The escape from midgar bike section is like your playing it in fast forward. It's impossible to play and you hope for the best to make it to the end. The snowboarding game back ground noise was just a mess, sounded like very loud static. The controls whilst a bit clunky - works ok. Performance was fine on my Samsung A70. Doesnt look like square have bothered to update the game in a while.
Good game graphics ok working perfectly on my galaxy s10. If there is only one slight problem is the controls are to sensitivity. So for instance I need to walk past someone slowly and its keeps going fast. So at the moment I'm a little bit stuck as I cant carry on. Maybe looking into a gaming controller to see if it makes any difference. Apart from that it's a good game so far.
This port was very well done, the buttons aren't obtrusive to play or being able to see the screen at all, and I personally haven't experienced any bugs or glitches while playing across multiple android devices. A timeless classic, well worth picking up whether you're experiencing it for the first time or coming back to play it again.
As a fellow PS1 FF7 player, this is a good port. Good old turn based battle. Can be play with any Bluetooth controller, I used a PS4 gamepad. Some of the mini games can be a tad difficult to play with on screen button. Nostalgic gameplay. The one bad thing I found out is the cloud save, don't think it's working. I can't bring over my cloud saves from my old phone to my new phone and tablet, hope dev will fix it. I'll just start a new game in the mean time. Ps. The w-item glitch still works!!
The game has worked well so far, but I'm stuck on Cid's backstory, it just stops after the countdown and the dialogue wont continue. The message box saying 15 seconds left also doesn't completely vanish when the countdown is over, I think that has something to do with it. Please fix, i like this game so far and want to be able to finish it
Final Fantasy VII was likely one of the best games in the series - perhaps consider 'the best' by many. The port did a good job in bringing the game over to touch screen phones - though there were a few areas where precise controls were needed to do things and the game would fall apart at those points (Getting Tifa to escape from the gas room for example). Overall this is well worth playing.
Anyone that is a fan of RPGs, and hasn't played FF7 yet, you're missing out on the king of all the games in this genre. The port for android has been a blessing, allowing me to bring my all time favorite game with me anywhere I go. It has a cloud save feature that allows you to transfer your data between devices. I'll use my big screen tablet at home, and then play on my cell phone while I'm away. Easy access to guides and tutorial, just hop onto your browser and back into the game with ease.
Overall I love playing this game again. Issue I'm having is when headphones are plugged in, I'm getting audio skipping and lag. Bluetooth functions just fine and so do my phone's speakers. Second issue is it seems to run a tad slower than it did on the PS or even a quality emulator with a good processor. A fast forward option would be nice too.
Th controls can be a little frustrating at times, but that was the case in the original as well so it's not a huge deal. Overall amazing game; I can never decide which FF game is my favorite but this one is always in the conversation. Has the best story BY FAR, and the materia system is very deep with tons to explore and experiment with. Highly recommended, well worth the price
So i would like to address the safe in Shinra mansion. the dial does not go fast enough with analog or digital controls to get all four numbers imputed before the 20 seconds are up. i can get to 90 after putting in 59. please add 5 seconds to the timer or give us another fix. i would like to get Vincent, Odin, and Cosmo Memory without having to input a code 30 times and fail each time.
Great game, but interface still needs a lot of work. For such an awesome game, the developers have done a poor job of splicing it over. AND for being a paid for game... there is no excuse for the laziness. The buttons don't work properly, you can't change even what it says you can and that is if you can even get into the menu which is sometimes not possible.
Of Square's FF ports, this one is by far the laziest. The ui is an overlayed controller- you can't tap an item to interact or tap a menu item to select. There is no autosave feature, so you can't play in short bursts, but have to go to the next save point or lose all progress. Still a great game, but playing mobile feels like you're playing on an emulator, unlike the port of ff3, ff5, ff6, or ff9.
A fantastic trip down memory lane. Works brilliantly. Controls on touch screen are adapted as well as they could be. If you never played the original then the only watch out is that the in-game graphics are very blocky, though the game is really all about the story. The whole thing runs smoothly on my SG note 9.
If you get the BSOD, install the game, but do NOT play it immediately. Install, then go to Settings, then to Apps, then scroll down to Final Fantasy VII and go to Permissions. In Permissions, allow the game to have access to all permissions available. It's an older app, so while you may not see a need for all of the permissions, it does need them to run! Exit Settings and re-start your device. Run the game and it should work fine! This also works for FF9!!!
The bike mini game when the team is running away from Shinra gets fast forwarded and makes it impossible to play properly. Everyone will end up losing all their health and the boss battle gets 2 free kills at the start. Please fix because I didn't expect a super hard mode. I still made it out alive, but the bike mini game is fun to play, too. Please fix
Ignore the clueless 1🌟 reviews. Excellent port - straight from the PS1. Only lost 1 star because sometimes the screen sensitivity points don't line up with the buttons. Have to reboot a few times before that starts working properly. Once that works consistently, this will have 5🌟. (Also kinda wish it had the x3 speed option like the XBox One port has, but that's neither here nor there.)
The game itself is as good as it always was. However porting it to Android introduced some annoying effects. Depending on the screen (e.G. World map, Chocobo Racing, Motocycle Racing, Snowboarding) the frame rate drops really low, sometimes under 1 fps. This makes progressing through the game really annoying at times. The last fight with Sephiroth took really long, since every super nova animation took more than 5min. Better to play on PC or Playstation if available.
This game brings back memories since it came out on the PS1. I still love this game but this version needs more work in some areas. One issue I have is that sometimes the game speed moves really slow in like when you're flying around on the airship on some parts of the map plus the chocobo arena in goldsaucer and chocobo racing. Also, what's wrong with the ability to cloud save?
it plays ok most of the time but when you need precision like when opening the safe in shinra mansion you'd better use a controller. The cut scenes don't look right they are inverted. you can still see some of what's going on but it looks bad. be sure to save often. sometimes the phone will shut it down when in the background.
I love that they ported this game to android. Its a great classic I remember well. I dont know if anyone still looks at these comments but the cloud save feature has been disabled for a long time now and at this point I'm fairly certain it will remain off. Its not a deal breaker I just miss having it. Also not sure if they incorporated controller support like they mentioned a few years ago.
