FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion

The app features are great but the price you pay for what you get in-game isnt worth it. You can buy two retainers and get more space for your money. Sorting inventory after I log out of the game is fun but ot worth an additional 5 bucks a month on top of my sub fee. Maybe if you could do more with the app it'd be worth it, but as it is now its wortg maybe 3 bucks a month. Definitely not 5.

Ap is handy to have, dont lile that a key function is locked behind micro Transactions, but the ability to do basic game functions when im away from home is pretty snazzy. Get premium the extra retainer and saddlebag is worth it. Plus being able to transfer inventory items between retainers is kinda pog

It works...? But I really wish the developers would improve some parts of the app. It makes it very difficult to use it for it's intended purpose when you have to re-log in just about every time you close the app. They also have frequent updates that log you out rather than keeping the app updated in the background, which makes you need to re-log in again (which gets a bit frustrating with the token...) Recently I've also had frequent errors while trying to load conversations.

Does what it needs to, great for mobile connection with free company and event scheduling. It's good for management of items if you are bored and want a slower way than just logging in.

This would be a lot better if I could do retainer ventures with it. I would also like to access gathering/crafting logs with it and make different node alarm sets. I play on ps4 so accessing the third party sites for crafting/gathering is a pain. The cost is worth the extras right now but having the above items added as either a base function or for an additional $5.00 would be perfect.

Literally can't login. I've changed my password multiple times, logged into the launcher on my computer to double check, and I'm still unable to login. I just want the emote

Very clunky, very bug riddled. If you get timed out of a connection after using kuponuts it'll just eat them rather then give it back despite doing Nothing.

Very useful for checking character stuff and looking up friends but some of the shop/community features are but clunky.

Handy for managing market board postings when not at the computer. But I do wish it let you organize inventory and get rid of clutter more.

Version check fails at startup. Wont load because it says theres an update, but when I go to Google play I'm already using the latest version.

Simple and easy to use, have never had a problem with the app itself, if I might l leave a suggestion that could make it better, maybe you could add the characters Crafting and Gathering "logs" so a player can view the logs without needing to be logged into the game or to be able to view when they are unable to while ingame

Price vs function is very very bad. This is a premium app if you pay and I've only used the app for one day and I can tell immediately that the premium is just not worth it. Only 1(free) or 2(prem) actions per day? Why?? You want us to buy coins for $40+ for 200 coins? You would go through that in a week. Rediculous price. Here is some feedback square: make it 10 free actions per day (5 per retainer) and unlimited for premium then people will subscribe to your app. 2 star, the app works at least

Having to pay to use this app no think you im already paying $14.99 just to be able to play the game that cost me $60 plus my ps plus no think you I'll figure it out some other way

Not worth paying. Great if you need to show your waifu you stats when away from home.. apart from that pretty useless. Sad because it has so much potential.

It's .. nice? Doesn't offer a lot of function, sadly. Can't seem to update the app, so we'll see how it functions later, I guess

Its cute, nice for messaging or checking your friend's progress, but could be more practical and useful. Like if i could search and preview (or try on) weapons/armor on the market; check my retainers current selling stock even when logged into the game and/or see their venture progress; and letting me search mob locations and the gathering logs would. Yes there is a website, but if why do I need this app if I am going there for most my needs? (Aside from the extra favored location :P LOL)

Not the best companion app out there. Ridiculous we get a daily limit on doing specific actions through the app.

I would enjoy more if we would be able to send retainer on missions (gathering,hunts, quick explore) while away from the computer

For the basic stuff, it's OK. Would like FC chat to be linked but it's not. You can view or find fellowships but you can't post in them. Would be nice to have CWLS access through the app.

Definitely love this for my Final Fantasy online game. Always been a fan of FF since as far back as I can remember.

Cute app. Mostly useful for chatting, but you can't see the fc chat. Would be way more useful if the app wasn't so limited. Needs more content for sure.

This app needs to be improved. Very slow and clunky. I get no notification for when I get a new chat message or for a new event. I only get notifications once I've checked them myself first. When I do get a notification in the top bar and click on it while I don't have the app open (even if just minimized), I have to reload the app again, click on chat, click on the message, then I can respond. This seems archaic. Also, I'm not impressed with the premium option. Been paying a subscription for this game since 1.0 and I'm not willing to pay anymore than the near $20 CAD per month that I already pay. Yes the exchange rate is very annoying since it's all in USD.

The app needs an overhaul. Since we already pay a subscription to play, the app and its functions should be included. Speaking from a tech standpoint, i understand the log off the game bit so that doesn't irritate me. I like that i can show off my character's outfit from my phone, but we should be able to change gear sets from there. Create them, no....change what our character is wearing, yes.

I've used this app for maybe half a year. Figured now is a good time to write a review on the app. It's barebones to start, but that's honestly how it should be. it's attempting to make life easier. What I'd enjoy in the companion is three things, one that I've seen repeated over and over. #1 retainers + ventures. I send my retainers out on 1hr ventures. And sometimes I'm on the go. #2 fashion section. Just to try things on. #3 checking retainers even in another world. It's not possible in-game.

It is a decent app willing to do minor things as long as you have subscription for the game. Message friends, organize raid events, sell your items, etc. And the most recent update now lets you change characters (but it will delete data on the app if you change. So careful). But there is a lot you cannot do unless you also have the premium plan on this app. I wouldn't recommend using it, but at most, gives a free teleport destination. So if you want that, give it a try.

Quite underwhelming. It'd be nice if you could change your equipment (if possible) and check current party listings. Also, a 3D model of your character you could move in 360° would be much better than the stock photo of our 3D character we shown in the app. Also, the app could run a bit smoother with smooth animations, and the UI could be more pleasant. It's ok for messaging, but it really doesn't offer anything else noteworthy. It has potential, though.

This app is very bare bones basic and doesn't really provide much to warrant use. Being able to browse and sell from your inventory is neat and all, but it doesn't go much farther than that. The few other benefits it provides are locked behind ANOTHER monthly fee in addition to your existing subscription and I think that's absurd, at least for the amount they're asking.

I've found the app useful to manage and keep track of my inventory when offline, but the lack of ease in using the app makes it a bit if a pain sometimes. While I like the extra saddlebag and retainer (premium), I do wish there was a way to manage retainer ventures, do more than 2 things a day, and get a more complete picture of your inventory. I can't tell which items are currently equipped in my armory chest, for example. At that point, I may as well log on.

I have been logged out of this app for some reason, and getting back in seems to be impossible. I have tried multiple ways of entering my credentials. I have also cleared the app's cache, like requested (which is absurd, by the way that it's even necessary), and I still cannot log back in. In the one time that I was actually able to use the app, it was abominable. Tons of actions that cost some amount of currency, the character viewer is static and poor quality, and there is no tutorial or indicator of what anything actually is. I really wanted to like this app, but I need to let it go.

As of right now, you can only load one character. Really inefficient, esp of you play multiple characters in the same server, different servers or data centers. The app is primarily great if you need to move things around or primarily chat with other people. The premium upgrade is just more space, like the retainers, and chocobo saddlebags. Compared to other companion apps, this is the worse one by far.
