Loving the Finch! Fantastic alternative to the Twitter app. Only issue I've had is sometimes it doesn't recognise my 'likes'. Takes a few presses and a little bit of scrolling up and down. Otherwise a great app. Superb customisation options. Got my Twitter just how I want it.
Definitely prefer Finch to the official app, having it save your place and not require tedious expansion of your feed is wonderful, but ultimately uninstalled in favor of a paid app. The main issues I had were that it slowed my phone down, and sometimes didn't heart or unheart tweets properly. Would still heartily recommend if you don't want to spring for a paid app.
Want to really like it but it's not posting extended tweets? Don't know if this is Twitter blocking access to dev stuff but kind of a deal breaker. Tweets just cut off mid sentence with no option to expand. Also I'm trying to get away from the Twitter app to stop the scrolling game which this app continues to do. If I switch tabs It goes right back to the top of the TL not where I last was. And the delay loading TL makes scrolling even worse.
It's simple really i love twitter. It's my first only app I've used. I love the app my only grip is my phone buzzing saying I have a new tweet. My be I can silence it. I think it's simple and it works I haven't notice any bugs. I don't like it when it gets updated make the app too big for its boots. Simple but smart that's what I think about Finch for twitter well done..
I was hop6for something that would automatically expland all the tweets, but this is as bad as Twitter, but that's not why I'm giving it 3 stars. It gets 3 stars because it's so Glitchy. I wanted to expand a reply thread, but it kept opening one of the long list of profile instead of the reply thread. That makes it worse than Twitter.
It's nice! Though a little lacking but it does what it says it offers. Could use a few more features. Being able to filter through content could be one.
What Finch does, it does pretty well - aside from the DM issue, which appears to be caused by it using a post method which is no longer valid, and I therefore suspect will be fixed before too long. However, I can see nothing to recommend it over the native Twitter app, at least for the way I use the platform, and its handling of threads is out of date as well. Add spaces that consolidate ALL your accounts' mentions and DMs, and we'll talk.
Love love love this app! Tweets in proper chronological order! No ads/promotional tweets every other tweet! Just love it! The only thing this ap needs is notifications for single users, such as news outlets, celebrities, etc. Twitter is how I get my breaking news and weather alerts.
Nice interface, however doesn't display images only previews, only black screen. Either broken or needs work. Owly, works better.
Abandonware. Lacks support for long tweets, and mentions have been frozen for a while now. Too bad, as otherwise it's awesome.
The app is fine, maybe theres something to improve with it. It loads more than half an hour even when I have fast internet access. Although It helps naman.
I found this app after having so many issues lately with Plume. Super easy to do everything I could do in the other app. Now if only I could get 280 characters, lol...
Misses a dozen settings that I consider a MUST, like being able to mute specific words and after two days I suddenly was unable to tweet or retweet. Just another app for twitter that fails at providing basic features.
After reading the reviews for this app I was eager to get and enjoy but right after installing, I couldn't even start up the app! It asked to login but it didn't let go further. I tried uninstalling and installing to no avail!
I like the idea of the app it's wonderful, light and fast however some videos won't play and messaging somome directly is so hard you cant search the person you want to dm and don't have any dm button alongside the person's profile
Videos don't play; a message flashes up but it's so quick it's impossible to read, let alone respond. Other than that I like it.
i have kind of jumped ship from tweet caster pro, it has the favourite heart shape that the web app has which is quick ,tweetcaster does not have this, also like the formatting of the pages , nice User Interface 😀👍
Great app, only downside is there isn't any access to Direct Messages, otherwise perfect.
noticed few bugs.. new tweets notification sticks blocking clicking on loke doesnt make it always red. it goes back no dark theme. its not really
Better among the third party twitter app. Definitely better than native app. Is there anyway to see who liked and retweeted my tweets? Also wish the app has pure black theme.
Decent but there's lag all around the app while scrolling. The search function is also not good.
okay. can toggle between one account and the other, but has a thing of not opening some pictures.
Great app, used to be a loyal fan of Tweetcaster, not anymore. Can't wait to get the paid no ads version
It's fine; does the job. No complaints. Am happy running a different account in parallel with this and another on the Twitter app.
doesn't work properly. I deleted app after many tweet errors. pm messages also doesn't work.
Needs more themes. 5 star application with more themes. Other than that, sublime app.
Installed it but won't give me access. Reinstalled and still nothing. Complete waste of time.
Join the 20th century. App is still limited to 140 characters and has giant ads plastered all through your timeline.
It initially seems like a nice simple app with most of the key features but it has some fairly crucial problems. Minor detail: it would be nice to have a choice of full-size or thumbnail image previews. And is there really no paid option? Twitter with ads is unusable. There's no way to edit the columns... I really don't want a whole page dedicated to "trends". Most significantly, though, 140+ tweets are not shown in full! All you get is a link to the official Twitter site (which takes two taps, one to the edit page and another to the internal browser). Not good enough.
