Somewhat aggravating and slow to use, but all bluetooth signal based finders are. If you have a general idea of where the fitbit may be, and it still has enough battery to produce a bluetooth signal, then this app does work to narrow down the search area to about a one meter diameter. Worth the $9.03 that I paid for it.
This app was jumping all over the place and never went past 60% anywhere, even though my phone was syncing to my Fitbit indicating that it was near enough to sink. This app says they will issue a refund if you cannot find your fitbit. However there are no options to get a refund. Don't waste your money it's not worth it. Now I'm out $6 and a watch.
Ultimately found my Fitbit but it wasn't as easy as I hoped and finally my memory that led me to it though this app narrowed it down to an 8 foot radius. The issue was that it was on the second floor of my house over the kitchen where I kept getting hot signals. Once I got really close to it upstairs, it was unambiguously hot but apparently, I didn't get close enough the first time upstairs.
Its not worth it. For what it does, it's full of ads and you have to pay 5.99 to do one search. Not sure if its a one time thing or every search. My fitbit is in my bedroom but can't see it, so its highly unlikely the app will find it using proximity of the Bluetooth. I am not going to pay to try to get a refund if it doesn't work.
First, you are not up front with your pay wall. Your app or website does not indicate purchase required. The first scan did not find any devices even though a second device was within 10 ft. I knew it was in the house, the Fitbit app continued to do updates. Finally, my device was on the selection list. When you say slow, it means step slowly in small 6" increments. After moving 3 feet the signal goes away. "Cold" Did an android restart and we're back searching. Many restarts were rquired.
Legit app that worked. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of two reasons. 1) the adds were a little annoying for such a simple app, and 2) the price of 9$ to actually do the hot or cold I think is a little steep. For that price there shouldn't be any adds in my opinion. Over all im happy that despite those two caviots it was simple and brought me to my fitbit blaze square that fell out of the charger and somehow perfectly behind a banister ridge on the floor.
I've lost my Fitbit twice now. Once in ny bedroom and it helped me find it under the bed and just now when it became attached to some clothing I threw in the dryer. I went through that dryer 4 times until I set my phone on the side of the laundry basket and shook everything out. The bloody thing went into the duvet as I tossed it in the dryer. Thankfully I realized it only a few minutes after loading it. This app has been a Fitbit lifesaver both times.
Love this app! I probably would not have found my Fitbit without it. The band, is older & now always comes apart (another frustrating issue), so it fell apart & slipped into the cushion of our chair. Without the help of the "hot" and "cold" indicator, I would not have known where to focus my search. What was worse is that my Fitbit battery was getting ready to die, so I had to quickly decide if I wanted to purchase the app. In the long run, the $4.99 was worth it. No new Fitbit!
Helped target the areas to search. The hot/cold works reasonably well... Would be nice if it could give you range (like tell you that you are within so many feet of the signal). It can be difficult to determine if you are getting further from the signal because the line bounces around a lot. But, in the end, I did find the Fitbit, so it was successful!
Works okay. The cold-warm-hot indicator isn't as accurate as I would like, but it's based on Bluetooth radio signal. The app cannot be made to tell you 30ft away, 25, 20, 10, 5, 1ft. I tried 5 different Bluetooth device finding apps and the others all require you to unpair your device to find it. I think that is really stupid, and I'm not going to do that. So for $5 I guess this will have to do.
I searched for hours. Practically moved an entire room of furniture. It wasn't even on the same floor that was picking up a "hot" signal. Regardless, I found my fibit. I tried several other apps, and unfortunately, this was the best one. I hate that they advertise as free, but if you want to get anywhere you have to pay extra. The whole experience has made me realize to NEVER lose my fitbit again!
I lost my Fitbit flex 2 as it had fallen out of the band somehow. The app pointed me to my front yard which confused me because I thought I would have lost it in the back yard. I wandered in the front yard for quite a while taking baby steps and turning around in circles and couldn't find it. Decided to try again after dark. Using flashlights, and wandering in the same place as earlier. The flash light was the trick, the reflection revealed it in the blades of grass.
Was skeptical, but once my phone connected with my Fitbit, I paid the price and was able to find it. Distance was pretty spot on when I managed to get the "hot" indicator. It jumped back and forth between hot and warmer when I was sitting on the floor right beside where it was buried. 10/10 would recommend trying if you lose your Fitbit. $5.99 is much cheaper than a new Fitbit.
Well if you don't mind spending $5.99 to find it, then it's a great app. Works really well, finds it difficult to differentiate multiple floors (will say it's warm), but once you're on the right floor it gets a lot warmer. And I believe that once you pay for the app the first time it lets you use it as much as you need, so if you loose your Fitbit a lot this is really handy !
It succeeded in finding the FitBit after I had spent hours trying to find it. I wish it up front told you the price instead of waiting until you install. The warmer/colder frustrated at first because it seemed to get warmer in multiple directions. Took awhile to find when it switched to hot, but I wouldn't have looked in the right place without the apps help.
I had just changed to a new band that was held on with a magnet and at some point I noticed my Fitbit was missing off my wrist. I tried setting alarms but I couldn't hear it anywhere, even though it was syncing. So I got this app, and it actually led me outside where I found my Fitbit had fallen on the ground behind my car. I would never have found it without this app.
It took about 30 to 45 minutes. I had numerous misreadings in the beginning. I did some research and decided to restart my device after the app was installed, using a different phone that was not connected to the fit bit. To my surprise the meter finally changed to warmer, and warmer, and then hot. It was very responsive at this point and when i moved back and forth from the hot point, it updated the reading every time. I am so happy i found my fitbit! It fell in with the laundry!
Extremely tedious, but it most definitely helped me find it. It was actually in a place I had already searched but was not visible without moving other things in the way. You really do have to move slowly as it calibrates or you will walk in circles. If it weren't so slow I'd give it a solid 5 Stars because in the end I found my Fitbit thanks to this. A few upgrades and this app will be FIRE!
Bit pricey, but actually worked. Super simple to use. Takes a second or so for the graph to update, so take your time. Graph didn't go to full strength, but not an issue. Once into "hot" - half a metre left, graph went down one notch, moved back, graph went back up - half a metre right, graph went down one notch, moved back, graph went back up - bingo, found it. Only having to look in a one metre area is better than I expected.
Excellent. I would've NEVER found it with this app. My fitbit was caught inside one of my tires in a storage area. With the "warm/hot" function I was able to eliminate areas focus on the right area and then decide to take down the tower of tires. Which I would have never expected it to have fallen into. Wow worth the purchase. Otherwise I would've had to buy a new Fitbit
This app was able to show a signal from the missing Fitbit, but only narrowed it down to the main area of our house, and when I was literally right on top of the thing it gave the same reading as when I was one floor down. Not helpful. Also, forget about getting a refund if you don't find it--its a total scam and no better than the free apps. We actually found the Fitbit by setting it's alarm from my phone again and again until we could locate the buzzing.
