Terrible app. Constant connection errors and bad Dvr playback. Update: there is no way this app received a 4.3 rating. That just has to be bogus. This app crashes and shows so many black screen errors it's pathetic. And for each one Verizon expects you to create a ticket and blah blah blah! It's not worth it, I left Verizon Wireless for the same reason very poor customer service.

What Verizon doesn't tell you is that some channels are restricted from the mobile app. I'm in DC and Mid Atlantic Sports Network, all PBS, CBS, and ABC are blacked out from the app. Kinda defeats the purpose of a mobile app. I'm baffled that there are any ratings higher than 1 star for this. You have EVEN MORE restrictions when you're away from home (just where you expect to use this). It says to connect to your home network. Hey Verizon, when I'm home I don't need a mobile app.

What is the point of this app if I can't even watch the news when I'm not home? Nevermind DVR content. It sucks that you have to be connected to your home wifi. If you live in NYC like I do at best you have 3 rooms to begin with.... I can't use my Verizon mobile data to watch my prerecorded programs?? Boo! At least I can set the DVR to record and watch later at home.

Ever since the new update the app won't load. After you force it to stop and clear the cache then it will work. Go back to it several minutes later then the same thing happens with it not opening..I hope that they can resolve this issue soon because at this point it's annoying.

Already ran app, several times, whilst on home Wi-Fi. Try to watch something from my DVR and I'm repeatedly told to first connect to my home Wi-Fi. Maybe it's me. I've only worked in IT for 25 years!

Missing the most important button on the remote, previous channel! Remote function times out if you put it down for 5 minutes and u have to sign in again! Obviously not programmed by someone who watches TV

I switched tofrom xfinity based on lower intro rate. Xfinity app much better functionally. FIOS WORKED OK, BUT TERRIBLE FAILURE WHEN INSTALLED A NEW BIGGER SAME BRAND TV. AGENTS KNOW NOTHING!

The playback on the DVR constantly lags and buffers, even now with the new "faster" internet. I've had this app for over 3 years and this issue has never been fixed. Also, if you use the fast forward or rewind features while using DVR, the feature will just take you to some random part of the show you're watching. You may try to rewind 10 seconds but may wind up randomly rewinding 10 minutes of the show. It's annoying, ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Just fix it already!

I have no problem live streaming or going to the OnDemand to watch a show. When it comes to the DVR, it's horrible! Things have gotten worse. I'm at home on the WiFi and still cannot connect to the DVR. I can see what's on it, delete something if I need to, but cannot watch anything. Extremely annoying. 😒 I've already put in a ticket three times now, all ahve been closed without contact or resolution.

So... July 2021 comes with an update, and the app is still horrible. What is going on??? During playback of a recorded show, the video stops and you need to restart the app. Has been going on for years now... Come on Verizon... Get with it!!! 3/26/22 I really so not understand how a year later and the same issues are taking place. Cannot even watch a recorded program foe 5 mins without and error code and having to reset the app.... Shame on Verizon.... Disgusting...

When it works it is an excellent app. The main problem, most of the time it does NOT work. When you set a program to record, there is NO accurate reaction to let the user know that it is set to record. No indication in the guide or list of upcoming shows to record yet most of the time it will record. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT??? Unless you are within 4 - 6 feet of the Verizon router, you CAN NOT watch a recorded show without it freezing. For over $200.00 per month it just is NOT worth it.

I travel a bit. On one trip, the app will work ok for a couple of hours, then on the next trip it will tell me I have to connect to my home dvr before using the app (that I'd just used on the last trip). Because of the inconsistency, the app is useless -- you never know if, when, or for how long it might work, so why bother? It is PARTICULARLY annoying to randomly lose the ability to control my home dvr while away. Thanks, Verizon.

UPDATE.....CANNONT VIEW DVR RECORDINGS. NO ONE WILL HELP ME! update- Working so much better now. Must Have worked out the bugs. Total downgrade from previous version. Can never connect. Stops randomly. Then won't connect again. Very frustrating when you know you are connected and can't access anything. Works when it wants to. Don't know why companies feel the need to "upgrade" something that works to just mess it up. Don't like the new configuration.

Numerous times a day I will get an error and I have to close and re open. when I open a ticket they reset my box which helps for an hour but then it happens again. I have explained several times that this is an app problem since it happens everyday several times a day. still after a year no progress. You are able to check the guide and schedule shows to record with almost no problems. For me this is causing me to switch to another carrier.

I have always had problems with this app ever since I installed it. It has always been buggy. Now, Ever since the latest update. It no longer works because it immediately crashes, as soon as I turn on the app. I had no other choice but to uninstall it. The problem is when I try to connect to Wifi. It only works on LTE. BTW, all of Verizon's software crashes when connecting to Wifi. I sent them the specs from the crash. No response at all!

It works once you know what you want, but it isn't intuitive to get to a programming listing so i can just watch a channel - the program and movie thumbnails rarely show what i want without a lot of scrolling. Also, please allow minimizing if i pop out to check a text message or similar. It closes completely if I leave. Youtube and Netflix both do this with ease. Verizon should too!

The app rarely connects to DVR. On the rare occasion it does, if not on fios wifi it buffers every 2-3mins. Cant ever watch recordings when traveling. Its difficult to navigate on app troubleshooting & call center techs have no idea how to fix app issues. This has been going on since the app became available. Between everyone in my home that's at least 10 devices over the years that have rarely worked. I hate having to write this. I love V. Have been a long time customer but this app stinks

This app should be SO much more than it is. It's strongest point is being able to find and record any program you're looking for from your cable subscription on your DVR. And that's it. What it doesn't do is easily allow you to watch whatever you want to watch from wherever you want to watch. The app requires you to be on your own Wi-Fi to watch whatever you want. If you're away from your Wi-Fi, you can only watch certain channels the Verizon "allows". Lame!

One of the worst apps ever used. When you're out of network. You get nothing for channels. The app crashes when it does work. And is almost never in focus. Not sure if its the app causing the unfocused content, or that Verizon wireless is one of the worst signal providers out there.
