I purchased my 42inch wall mount/stand alone Electric fireplace from BigLots, more than enough pieces came in the bag for 2 different setups, I chose to mount mine to the wall. The fireplace came with a template for easy mounting. Physical remote worked as well as the app remote. I find myself using the app more than the actual remote due to convenience. The app connects via bluetooth and whatever I pressed is exactly how my fireplace reacted, I'm glad!
Using this app with the Surrey Fireplace TV Stand from CT. Fireplace works excellently but the app is completely useless (Using a Samsung Galaxy S9). The app found and connected to my fireplace no problem but does not actually control it (none of the buttons in the app nor the fireplace itself react when I tap the app controls). Will use the included remote and/or push buttons on the front of the fireplace and uninstall the app. The app feature should not even be advertised on the product.
When it works it's great. At the beginning it worked all the time. Now I often have to pair it before use, then I can turn it on, but nothing else. Can't change temp, turn it off... have to pair it again.
I am about to change all settings like I can with the physical remote. I just wish that I could adjust the temperature by one degree increments instead of five. App works as described.
APP is nonresponsive. It works sometimes and other times it doesn't. I uninstalled/installed this app several times to see if it would work. No luck. Please update app and fix the bugs.
Not sure why this app is rated so low. We just bought the stand alone led fireplace and it paired with my Note 8 within seconds and all controls are fast and function properly. I'm impressed.
Worked fine the first week then wouldn't set and repeated taps were all you could do to set timer. Last night time was set for 3h. Time did NOT turn fireplace off and it has now been running for the last 11 hours.
Not only was the remote control not in the box but now the app doesn't work. I see from reading many of the reviews people are all having the same issue yet no response from the developer. Time to contact BBB.
Wouldn't pair with Bluetooth no matter what after installation. Update: several months later, it is working fine. No reason apparent for the change, but I updated the review and rating.
Just installed this app and went to sleep. The following day I found it easily on my phone and it works like magic. I'm really relieved because my remote needs a new battery. Thank you for creating this app. I love my electric fireplace.
App worked great for a short period of time then just stopped..I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and it will not connect again..so needless to say its junk.
I haven't been able to connect to the fireplace in at least a year now. Yes, I can do all of what I need to do on the fireplace itself, but it's nice to be able to turn it on from upstairs. My phone detects the fireplace, but this app does nothing now. It used to be just fine.
Got the fireplace for my grandfather so he wouldn't be cold. App connected through my Moto Z 2 but now it won't even connect. I need it to because my grandpa tends to lose items or misplace them often. Fix the dang thing please.
The app never worked. I downloaded and tried to connect but to no avail. And there has been no response nor update from the creator of this app. Very disappointed.
Used to have to disconnect and reconnect for it to work. Now after recent android update on my note 10 it doesn't even connect anymore
Has worked for me 100 percent of the time. I am only 10 feet from my fireplace. It is bluetooth so range isnt going to be great. Still working 10/25/2021.
Worst app I have ever installed. This must be a joke! In order to get it to work, I had to install and then uninstall each time it stopped working. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board on this one!
Piece of garbage. Works about 40 percent of the time. I am at this moment yet again trying to get the app to connect to my fireplace unit. Worthless app.
This app worked 3 weeks ago when I first put it on my phone, now it has stopped working. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and it is still not working.
Stopped working completely. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. No change. Disappointing.
The app works great! I had to get really close to the fireplace to get the app to connect. However, after that, everything works like it's supposed to.
I'm having an issue with my s8 not connecting to my fireplace through this app. It worked fine till the last time this app updated. Can anyone help?
bought this 42 inch fireplace, was really easy to hang on wall, was really nice in box, just installed app and everything seems working fine, only downfall is loud beep n heater is lil loud when on, also got great deal
Trying to connect on my S9+ and it does sfa! I'm not even sure why I need my phone to control it - I have the remote that came with it!🤷♀️
App worked fine last spring and fall then quit working. Tried several times to reconnect; no luck. Uninstalled and re-installed a few times; no luck. Last option was to disconnect the stove completely from power source. Started back up 10 minutes later and re-installed app. Works like a charm now. Would have given a 4 or 5 otherwise.
