This is a pretty solid app so far. I have not tested it in full with all the different functions though but it sets the Halloween mood I seek outside at night so Kudos on that. One thing I would suggest right now is to change the persistent notification icon from a solid filled square to a flame outline or something cooler with better definition of what it is.
Candle effect is spot on across my whole house. I expect the reviews are if you only have a few which could feel a bit whack. Would be good to have better clarity over room control. It turned everything on without me realising when I first used it. Ps firework effect is awesome. Well done!
Campfire / fireplace mode are wonderful!! Managed to be better than Hue labs on actual Hue and another app called Hue dynamic. Fire flickering transitions are very smooth I have 3 bulbs in my room in 2 separate lamps across the room and manages to make the whole area cozy with just enough light for TV or computer
I admit I really only use the candlelight setting but it is perfect for falling asleep to. I love the timer feature and after playing around with the settings I found the pattern I'm most comfortable with. I use this daily in place of candles and I'm really enjoying the ambiance. Thank you for your work with this great app.
It's easy to setup with your Hue bridge and there's a good amount of customization. I wish there was a way to save various modes and control them from Google home.
Dear Good work but it doesn't have scheduling possibility on the bridge. App needs to be open to function. Hence it is useless for me. I put a Hue Play in my fireplace and I don't expect to manually turn it on every day with the app open on my phone all the time... Hence I like to return the app and ask for a refund please. Thanks
the thunderstorm one is so awesome ! I got firestorm as well but it seems unfinished missing sound efx and kinda dont like the way the 2 fire efx .look, the lights flash , dont really remind me of a campfire sorry. the candle one is the only one I like.
Takes too long to load. Every time I go to home screen and go back to app, it just says loading and stays that way for a long time
Love this app. Very easy to understand and configure. Many options and effects. Great
Would be a 5 star if there was some way to cast or bluetooth the sound effects to an external speaker.
Great tool that gives you lots of customable options. I appreciate the extra added firework mode.
Works but kept insisting to run in the background denied but no clear way to exit in which in asks again and again.
Terrible app, no soft flickering, effect of a kid playing with a lightswitch, not worth the 2 bucks...
It works nicely but it has trouble working with google assistant hue app. Bummer
Just says "Loading". No work. Re-loaded app and works great.
The candlelight is perfect as ambient lighting!
I use these for atmosphere in my D&D games! Love it.
Fun but gets old fast
Awesome if you use it properly.
Great effects Thanks!
Awesome App Thanks Take Care
don't waste your time. PATHETIC
If you're into the Hue ecosystem at all then this app is one you want in your collection. It gives a really cool " flickering fire " effect along with a campfire effect that has sound as well. Scott has a few different apps out there for Hue bulbs and the Nanoleaf Aurora panels and everyone of them is awesome.
I wanted to like this. It has potential, but first it kept losing my hub. After I realized I had to log in to my WiFi to use it I moved on. But it's difficult to single out light or rooms you want to use this with. And it doesn't have a clear way to dim the lights or turn them off.
Awesome. Just bought my first colour bulb and this app is a neat way to work it. The roaring fireplace sound is surprisingly theraputic.
Something I'd like to see is a different brightness setting for hue white vs hue ambiance/color. I have a room with a mix of the two and while the colors mix nicely, hue white is much brighter than the color. Other than that really nice
Ok app, and to be fair, would maybe look better if I had 2-4 lights all next to each other instead of just 2 in neighboring rooms. Flickering feels a little predictable/not very random. Wish you could control how much the brightness changes because I think the candle would look better if the intensity didn't vary quite as much.
