First Aid - American Red Cross

Under the heading "About this app" it states "The app is ad-free and spam free." What is the first thing I see when I open the app? A full screen ad. Good thing it wasn't an emergency where every second counted. I mistakenly thought that's what this app was for, emergency first aid. Well played, developers.

This is a great app for anyone that does not deal with medical situations on a daily basis, and this is also very helpful for active first responders as well.

This app should indicate "contains ads". This is an app that doesn't need to exist: a . PDF would be better in basically every metric.

Very informative, helpful, use as a learning tool.

Every phone should have this app installed by default. You never know when you might need to save someone's life or someone may need to save your life!

App is ok for a resource. However for us that are certified it would be nice if we could have our cards digitized.

Love this app. I especially like that the content is viewable offline. Because you never know when you might be in an emergency situation and not have wifi or cellular service. That was a very smart implementation.

Great help in an emergency, especially in a stress related situation when shock can stump your memory.. even the most skilled can forget when stressed. works great, well developed, interactive and quizzes to test your knowledge. highly recommended

Some of the info is good but some is outdated or wrong. The quizzes with stupid, obviously wrong answers are not funny and show lack of care for the seriousness of the issue. Some of the quiz answers are wrong as well. They pull in so much in donations it would be cool to see them put more into this instead of overpaying ceos.

Run at startup permission snuck in and email asking about it was ignored. There's no legitimate reason I can see for adding it, and the fact they're being so nontransparent about it raises red flags. Uninstalling. Pay attention to permissions, people. This kind of thing happens quite a bit with different apps, because they know people don't care. Usually it's benign, but not always. You're giving a lot of trust & data with these apps.

Weak. And the Ads make it worse

Ok, this app is an app where all roads lead to dialing 911...of course, dial 911...why didn't I think of that?? And, I suppose if you are still able to use an app for first aid, then 911 might still be functional...unless everyone is calling 911 at once! First aid is a valuable learned skill...learn all you can before needing an app that tells you to call 911.

This is a great app. It is perfect if you forget your emergency packet or procedures. It can also help you train if you forget things. I am very impressed and this is the perfect app for any type of emergency. 5 stars for sure.

The app has gone downhill. Do you have lawyers and politicians involved in writing the contents? Are you afraid of liability to the point where you dilute the content to uselessness? Too many clicks, not enough pictures or examples, to the point of not being practical. The Canadian Red Cross First aid app is SO MUCH better.

Its a wonderful tool! I am first aid ceritfied by the red cross, but this app is a great refresher so that I am always confident in my ability to help in a situation. I especially love the quiz aspect.

Essential for workers who had to fix or patch up something themselves due to their work environments. VERY HELPFUL for passing CPR & other first aid tests required for some jobs, such as for me as an electrician! SUPER HELPFUL! When I was a highway electrician, for example, we always were banged up and in the middle of no where. This app is perfect for minor injuries & risky jobs! The training alone is invaluable; A co-worker in Kentucky SAVED A WOMAN'S LIFE thanks to his CPR training on lunch!

A bit confused that, in the bleeding quiz, the more severe injury was a scrape on the shoulder instead of blood spurting from a foot.

Um, so I opened the app to get some advice on a blister. Couldn't find it quickly. Maybe it's there, maybe not. You'd think that a first aid resource would have a search function.

The quizzes are a good way to find your weak areas. This app provides knowledge of many areas of first-aid to bring you up to speed. Great app.

Overall good, but one of the questions on the broken bone quiz is literally impossible to get correct! The question is even worded different in the review.

I appreciate the fact that you are really serious about optimizing your app and not like other apps being "optimized every week" and barely anything being noticed about the optimization, so I'm really happy about everything you are doing guys and so good job ❤️

Helps reinforce the training you already have also a great help for anyone not trained in first aid/ CPR. Very helpful.

This app is great! The only reason for not giving five stars is because I would like to see more in depth information, and I know it's possible, as well as more sanarios added (e.g. electric shock).

Im very pleased to have downloaded this app and to use it for a refresher course. I'll teach my granddaughter, how to do CPR, First Aid so she has these skills handy. Excellent app.
