As a St Johns cadet this and the other app are really useful for touching up on things. There was a bit of confusion about head injuries and helmet removal, I think it means if you suspect a spinal injury don't remove it, if you know they have just hurt their head then you can remove it.
Needs an update for new versions of android
Should be to check knowledge you already have, not much use in an emergency as more text than pictorial
I love St John (For the service of mankind)
The amount of information in this app is not only impressive, but also easy to use.
As a cycling coach we have to have emergency first aid training, this guide is really excellent and focused for cyclist. Thank you St Johns Ambulance.
Well it is great to learn but it is a bit scary
Under the emergency tab, the D.R.A.B.C primarily assessment "C" for Circulation is missing as a step. this is a check for major bleeds. Please add. Just finished the course today.
Must have app for every biker out there! 😀
Loved it, lived it
This app provides a better level of detail than the more general SJA first aid app. But cycling isn't that dangerous, and certainly doesn't warrant being the first specialized app from SJA. Statistics show being in a car or even a pedestrian are more dangerous per mile travelled. Also most cycling is solo (commute) so this information is no good if you come off your bike, unless person who finds you happens to be a cyclist as well ... Unlikely that other road users will download the app.
I love first aid
Thoughtfully kind, thanks, LNG(USzip12953)
Quick and easy to use. Plus it's probably the only app I've downloaded that doesn't take advantage and require loads of unnecessary permissions.
Well laid out and useful reminders if you encounter a situation.
Covers a lot of different areas
First aid app for cyclists
Exactly what I was looking for! The info in this app is specific, relevant, brief but informative, and easy to navigate. When I'm out cycling, and someone becomes injured, I don't need to wade through paragraphs of useless background nonsense. This app cuts through all that and gets right to the point. I wish the coder(s) would update this valuable resource. I'd even be happy to pay to have an app like this.
