First Bank is still a little outdated with some things, but they're working on updating. The app is pretty good for the most part. You can do just about anything banking wise on it. My only issue - and it's getting to be a very annoying one - is that for the past month now, every time I go to login, regardless of the place or signal strength, it takes about 1 minute to 1 1/2 to do anything. Every time it always says low connectivity (even when I have full bars) trying to load. VERY frustrating

Great app, if only the fingerprint login process would work as intended. I can login nicely with fingerprint authorization. Once done with my transactions, I always logout and close the app. The app apparently doesn't shut down properly, because it's impossibly to login again, at least not with fingerprint. The "Loading..." wheel keeps churning forever. Only a complete restart of my Android smartphone will cure the problem and allow me to login again -- ONCE. Fix this, and it'll be a 5-star app.

The single most important reason to avoid First Bank alltogether i s their terrible online and mobile banking experience. Their "new improved " update is only a set of patches to the former app. If all you want to do is check balances, thats fine, but the app is cumbersome, nonintuitive and was released before it was fully debugged. It crashes, only works with certain browsers, and frustrating. Go to a competitor bank. Any bank. (I did)

App worked fine until the update within the past week or so. Now mobile deposits are impossible; I keep getting a message that the bottom line of the check can't be read and to retake the picture even though the entire check is captured and perfectly clear. Cannot get it to work no matter what. :(

I was surprised at how many poor reviews this app has gotten; I've never had an issue with it. sure, it's not as sleek pr modern as other apps, but it gets the job done. It's simple, which is how banking should be. I can cash checks with the click of a button and check my balance with ease!

Need the back button on the phone to work with app again. Hasn't worked since a few updates. Before you could hit back on the phone to exit your account summary but now have to manually tap the tabs to get back to home screen/log in screen, then have to hit home on the phone, and then hit app button to kill the app. Worked a lot better maybe 5-6 months ago. Will not exit your app without hitting home or app button and then killing it that way

app crashes constantly. I have to uninstall the reinstall everytime I want to see my account. there really needs to be a fix in the works for this. it can't seriously be this bad. I love this bank...but if I'm unable to see my account all the time, then it might be time to switch banks. I know it's not my phone because it did I t.f on my other phone as well as reading the other reviews I can see I'm not the only one with issues. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!!!

Does not work properly all the time. The remote deposit is the worst. It stops working mid way during the photo process have to go to the bank to deposit check. I mention the problem but they just say either it is working fine or just say sorry about that. Tried a few times to reload app, but same problem. Worked better before First Bank bought out Asheville Savings.

Due to app issues I'm unable to use my fingerprint all of the time. It still asks me for pw even after setting it up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app every time I need to get back in it. It's a known issue for Android users. It's annoying that I can't have the convenience of using the app!!

Your app is broken fix it! It's been broken for weeks now. Does not allow you to login unless you uninstall it and then install it. Rinse and repeat. It worked perfectly fine before and had no complaints. Fix your app. I mean it can't be that hard to revert it and push it out as a different version so it shows up as a update. 1/10 update: Still broken

App works great. I hardly ever need to go to the bank anymore. The only complaint I have is I can't use my phone's back button to go back to the main screen. I have to press the back arrow in the app. Super annoying.

app keeps crashing...won't open at all...new phone and nothing but issues. Old phone, never any problems. This is an app I used to use daily, now I have to open web browser to do everything I used to do in app.....VERY disappointing. PLEASE fix.

The app is fine but on Android the back button doesn't work. So say I'm looking at my checking account and want to go back to the home screen back does nothing. Instead you have to click back at the top like it's a web page.

I love my local First Bank, and have been with them since I opened my first Savings Account at 17 years old! This app can go smooth, but also it locks me out at times saying I hsve the wrong password when I am using the correct one. If that happens to you, instead of having to call the # and speaking to someone, get online on your computer and that usually works.

Useful, if you can log in. The last few YEARS it hasnt let me log in. It acts like my actual password isnt the right password and refuses to even let me change it. I would love to use the mobile check deposit feature again. But that wont happen i guess.

It would be better if the bank was better i guess. Takes 2 whole days to process a government check. Sometimes longer. The mobile deposit has a $5000 limit. So pray your tax refund isnt a check. Pray your clients or customers dont pay you with a check over 5 grand. You have to still call customer service if you move and change your address. Doing it on the app isnt enough. Im highly disappointed in first bank as a whole.

The Android application is absolute rubbish. A great many times it will not open to your account. When you contact the bank they send you an encrypted response where you have to reset your password to open it. Still access bank account through an open-source VPN (Google Chrome)

It hasn't loaded for over a week now so I'm trying to figure out how you improved log ins?? I had no trouble before now it just states trying to load and log in. Honestly I'm thinking about banking with my old bank which is large but never any technical trouble. second class is what your IT department is.

Compared to other banking apps this one is hard to use and has way to many steps. You have to take the picture the app can not, it isn't efficient. I deposit a lot of checks during the week and this is the bank I always dread.

this is the worst app I've ever had along with the worst support. I never write reviews but after struggling through the lack of competency in person, online and over the phone with trying to accomplish anything with this bank...... save yourself the headache and just move ur money somewhere else.
