The app was great. Really convenient and easy to use. During pandemic became even more important. However, following latest upgrade it simply stops working. Tells me I am using a Rooted device which I do not believe I am. I uninstall the app reinstall it go through the initial setup and it works again. Within 24 hours it goes back to the old message you are using a Rooted device and so the process begins again. This is my sixth time having to reinstall the app. Really annoying and disappointing.

Rubbish App. I can't get into my account and I'm just fed up with it. If it isn't fixed soon, I am going to switch banks. Don't tell me to go to any fix it or help websites, as an older customer I am not offay with computers and I wouldn't be able to do it. Please get this fixed. Thanks for emailing me to offer your assistance with the app. I've got it sorted (with a little help) and it's working perfectly now!

Have to enter my phone number each time and get a verification code then setup the phone each time I use it. Each time the phone verifies that it is setup. Have been in touch with AIB and they have verified the phone setup is complete. When I try to login a few hours later I have to go through the same procedure again. This isn't an app but some kind of sick joke giving as much hassle as possible. Update have emailed customer service 10 times to see what can be done, they now ignore me.

Installed and wiped several times. Stops working after few days or just white screen. Previous app worked just fine. Now I can't use it at all on my phone, have to log in with the card reader from my pc. The whole point of the app is to work on your phone and it doesn't. Terrible service

The worst, most frustrating app. Keeps saying my phone has been rooted (it's not), or requires security update (which app can't do). Can view accounts briefly but without function. I am already registered for online banking. Have spoken to AIB, followed their instructions, completed 2 step authentication & reinstalled several times only to find the same thing happens again. A joke

Horrendous app. In a time where everything is done online i would expect better from a mobile banking app. Constant crashes and constant updates and security prompts. Also account amounts are displayed in too small a font to see. Horrible bit of software soo much so im changing my bank account.

Random chance login will work. Almost certainity that notifications will not work first time. Each change makes it harder to use. Close to giving up on this one and switching to a bank with a working app.

App was great until the last update. Now it is extremely slow and freezes a lot. It no longer includes my authorised overdraft when showing my available balance meaning I have to calculate how much money I actually have invested of being able to tell at a glance! Annoying and pointless change! Put it back the way it was!!!

Was trying to log in all the time it said that may details are wrong which wasn't ,installed, uninstalled app several times, keeps asking for update and always comes up as a technical issue or URL is too long or something. Was calling to customer servises. Didn't get much help either. Old app was better. This one is Rubbish.

Very underwelmed with banking app. For example I am unable to transfer money to other people who I have never paid before. Site is only good for checking your balance. And does not allow the same functionality as other banks have. If I had known this at the time, I would not have moved allied Irish Bank.

Nightmare!!!! Just going round in circles to try and update. Relied so much on this app but because my phone does not have 8.0 version I can no longer use it. 2 options change my phone dont think so!!!! OR change banks that'll do me. Used this app many times a day. Now my phone won't support it. Fair enough but now I can't get into my online account because I need the app to confirm it's me. Effectively locking me out of full access to my account. What do I Do? The reply below is appreciated but it boils down to the fact that if your phone isn't running Android 8 or better, you cannot download the latest version of the app, It installs, then when it tries to open, I get a mandatory update notice, when I hit update it returns me to google play. My phone runs Android 7. I don't mind not getting app access on my phone but it's now affecting my online banking as I mentioned above.

It's okay when it works but I think it's a shame that you need the latest versions of Android. I've got a still very good used phone from my nieces because my last phone had some problems. Because my Android version now is 7 and the previous phone did update to 9. I don't understand why the AIB app won't accept older versions. Not everyone can afford a new phone.

Absolutely terrible been unable to sign in to app. Keeps saying to update! I've uninstalled several times. If I could give it a zero I would. When you don't have the app it keeps rejecting a sign in from the server. Terrible terrible app for a bank when you cant access any online banking. Not friendly.

Awful! Have app on mobile phone. Trying to also put ontp laotop for business. It will not allow this "2factor authentication". Constantly throws me back to screen to input PAC number. Phoned for help. An hour later i am no further forward and girl said my phone is faulty!!!!! Can use system from Ulster bank without any difficulty so considering moving all banking there.

This app is disaster. I have to reinstall it every second time, because doesn't work at all. Besides strange things happens to my phone when i started to use it. Really I am thinking of changing bank, because using online banking is too much annoying now.

Every time I want to log on, I can't access my account without the "app" of which I already done. Now I have to uninstall it and re install until the next time. Not good. I've tried again and it looks like I have to do the same AGAIN 28/4/21 Have uninstalled this app and reinstalled but keeps saying to update. Horrible app, slow and laggy. Takes 3-5 days for them to send a code to my UK address. Do you really think people have all this time to wait? Need to access my funds now as I'm living abroad now half way across the world, and need the money for an emergency. Got 3 bank accounts in 3 different countries.. this is definately one of the worst apps I ever used. Unistalled. Absolutely useless.

Mandatory Update isn't working and I can't log in, Even though my Phone is on Android 8, and when you go to click update app, there is no actual option to update the app when you're directed to Google play. Haven't been able to log in since.

App worked as expected until the new security update. Under other replies i uninstalled and reinstalled same security issues are present. Keeps saying please update to enable 2 factor authentication, some times this works and i can access my account but most of the time it fails and then i have to keep retrying until i give up.

Just started using this app today. Cannot even pass through the setup stage. I entered my reg: no and PAC 5 digit. And the result was always 'you have entered invalid information...blah blah...' But I have tried a few times. I used the same information to log in to Internet banking and with card reader. The login was successful. Could someone tell me how to solve this problem? Same problem as everyone else, the upgrade destroyed the app. Can't even open the app. I shouldn't have to upgrade my phone to android 8 (I tried) as I'm using 3 other banking platforms and a plethora of other high security apps just fine. I think this is a serious issue your company needs to fix asap instead of asking everyone to upgrade their phones. Soon your app will have a 1 star rating. Terrible.

Not a great app at all. Technical issues far too often and quick view would be useful if it actually show the amount that's available to spend and not what's been passing through.

My phone isn't Android 8 or later as required. I'm not buying a new phone just to have AIB app so I guess I will have to do without. Absolutely useless. It was AIB that wanted the phone app in the first place, I was very happy using my laptop. Now I can't use anything. What's the point. Back to basics for me paper statements.
