First World War: Western Front

Conflicts: WW1 Western Front is a huge turn based strategy game set on the Western Front of the First World War.
You are in command of the German armed forces
- generals, infantry, cavalry, artillery and the first tank units
- and the object of the game is to conquer the strategic parts of France as quickly as possible.

This is a huge game, and if you haven't played games from the Conflict-series, you may want to start with Operation Barbarossa or D-Day before taking on the Great War of 1914-1918.

If you want to test the strategy game and its mechanics, a free 15-turn version is available at: http://bit.ly/1aq3rlx

Highlights:+ Tactical Areas/Move Points: Some hexagons are connected together forming slowly evolving Tactical Areas, and you can move between such hexagons using Tactical MPs instead of regular MPs. This opens up a completely new tactical dimension.+ Economy & Production: You decide how to use the industrial resources that you capture: Build railway networks, produce Rail MPs, manufacture minefields, etc.+ Railway Network: To navigate the huge game area efficiently you need to plan where to build railway network.+ Mud: Areas which see lot of troop movement and battles will turn into mud, which might consume extra move points, so you cannot get bogged down on the war of attrition if you want to keep the front lines advancing.+ Generals: Generals support the closest units in battle at the cost of 1 MP, while the front line units located too far away from Generals might lose 1 MP.

FEATURES:+ Long-lasting: Thanks to in-built variation and the game's smart AI technology, each game provides a unique war gaming experience.+ Competitive: Measure your strategy game skills against others fighting for the Hall of Fame top spots.+ Experienced units learn new skills, like improved attack or defense performance, extra move points, damage resistance, ability to cross rivers without losing move points, etc.+ Settings: Various options are available to alter the look of the gaming experience: Switch between terrain themes, change difficulty level, choose icon set for units (NATO or REAL) and cities (Round, Shield, or Square), decide what is drawn on the map, change font and hexagon sizes.+ Inexpensive: The entire WWI western front for the price of a coffee!

In order to be a victorious general, you must learn to coordinate your attacks in two ways. First, as adjacent units give support to an attacking unit, keep your units in groups in order to gain local superiority. Secondly, it is rarely the best idea to use brute force when it is possible to encircle the enemy and cut off its supply lines instead.

Conflict-Series has offered highly rated Android-only strategy games since 2011. The campaigns are based on the time-tested gaming elements TBS (turn-based strategy) enthusiasts are familiar with from both the classic PC war games and legendary tabletop board games. I also want to thank the fans for all the well thought-out suggestions over the years which have allowed these campaigns to improve at a much higher rate than what any indie developer could dream of. if you have feedback about the Conflict-Series please use email, this way we can have a constructive back and forth conversion without all the limits of the store's comment system. In addition, because I have huge number of projects on multiple stores, it’s just not very sensible to spend handful of hours each day going through hundreds of pages spread all over the Internet to see if somebody has posted a question somewhere -
- just send me an email and I will answer to it as soon as I'm online. Thanks for understanding!

There's not many WW1 games for those who enjoy the history of that era, but this game, although not stimulating in animation, is a great pick for anybody looking for a strategic WW1 simulator that puts you on the western front and tests you to see if you could carry out the schlieffen plan successfully and change history. I enjoy it, however, it does not include the eastern front which would make the game more hist. accurate (a war on two fronts) and I wish the artillery was more effective.

I think some people expect a full historic timeline-friendly simulation. This game doesnt give that, unfortunately. Instead you get a thematic experience from momentum killing effects of trench warefare. Its tough to master but mud and supply mechanics are great as the smallest snag can cause the entire assault up and down the line to slow to a crawl. After each breakthrough your army jolts forward before reforming a new battle line. Beat it twice. Each time took 3 days. Will buy another.

very good game. great combination of logistics, overall grand strategy and local battles. but with all of this, it is very playable. very little micromanagement, but still requires careful planning and use of resources. enjoy it very much.

This is the fourth game of the conflict series that I have purchased and my favorite so far. For me the key to doing well in this game is to build extensive rail network and LOTS of artillery.

This is a great game. Like the outcome, if you don't succeed quick you could get into a positional war that the allies could won because of their superior numbers and logistics. It's a great strategy game of WWI.

Ai is very passive and doesn't offer much of a challenge in the late game.

The 7/21 updates have really improved this game,, which has been one of my favorites. The entire Conflict Series is as close as one is going to get to old-school wargames for a phone or tablet. I have tried almost all of them, and I can say, that with attention Joni puts into responding to his customers and updating his scenarios, they are the best of there kind one will find!

Joni has made this game a lot more playable and made a few changes I think are vital to the game as a whole, and especially for getting started with the first turns of each new game

Absolutely amazing

For a paid game I kinda expect a difficulty slider, and a option to switch sides allies or German, Also there's no real video tutorial which is pretty unacceptable considering there smaller delevopers than you who make games that have better graphics all the features I said this game should have and no donation page up my face. im sorry but until you add a proper tutorial for this thing a switch side option I feel like I've been ripped off and on top of that you have a donation page... so not only is this thing paid but you have donations so what's your excuse if you don't add in a tutorial so I can relies why some units don't move some turns and other they do i can't enjoy the game which makes me less likely to but your other products

Great game. Unit selection and the UI need a little work, but nothing serious.

I will have to delete this one too, I just do not like the direction he is taking. I may be in a minority, but I just cannot get my head around this one.

Great but think allies dig in and make forts to fast. Overall love it would love to play the allies. Keep up the fire.:-):-)

Love it, but could you please add an allied campaign into the app? Also a ww1 eastern front game would be really cool.

One of the finest ww1 games ive come across

Getting stuck in the mud is so much fun! How funny to say that haha. The normal difficulty felt just right (I've never played Joni's games before). Finally an Android strategy game that has actual strategy and not stupid "gems" and "coins" and brain-free gameplay. It's easy to play a turn or just a few moves every now and then when you have time. I like the unit homogeneity too, it makes you really appreciate every unit you get.

Great game, good update, thanks

Very challenging, fun game. The game does a good job simulating trench warfare, but still maintains an element of mobility with the use of rail movement and tactical movement points. Airpower, leaders, early armor, mud, strategic production are included.

Enjoy playing each update. Reminds me of the good board games I wasted many hours playing with my friends. AI is good, the game doesn't attempt to win by simply creating new units. Each revision improves the game. Highly recommend.

What more can I say. This is a good old fashioned turn based strategy game. There are no easy shortcuts to winning. I can't recommend this game highly enough. Easy for a complete novice to pick up hard enough to keep the most experienced player engaged. Keep up the good work Joni
