I previously gave this app a good review. I have deleted that good review and now give it a one-star review. Network IO errors number 8 consistently. I have deleted and downloaded the app multiple times. This app is now a piece of junk. I don't know what they've done, but it is now useless.

Cant write an e-mail to somebody new, i need to have gotten an e-mail from them first and then I can reply. (Android) on my old iphone it worked fine.

I need this app to keep up with school emails and it seems fine. I only wish that I would get notifications of the emails I get sooner - not just when I already open the app. Also, I wish there was a built in contact list like the PC version where the entire email comes up if you type in a name or a few letters. Overall though, this app seems to be working fine.

This app extends the FC mailbox and conferences to my Samsung Galaxy S3. Calendar is there too although I haven't figured out how to integrate it with my Android calendar. Another complaint, although this is more an Android complaint than FC, is handling of attachments with new extensions is disjointed. Overall I give it a B grade or 4/5 stars.

I find it hard to believe that they can get something so simple so wrong for so many years. This app barely functions. At least now notifications somewhat work. Everything takes 2-3 times more presses than it should. And it still freezes all the time.

This app will allow you to see your FirstClass email and reply etc. But no access to calendars etc. Its time FirstClass was put out to pasture, as obviously OpenText are not updating/enhancing it. Wish my school board would move to Google Apps for Education and leave this piece of garbage behind.

Super buggy for android. Typing away and then suddenly entire message disappears. Happens almost every time. Contacts not always available. Can't delete a word or lose ability to continue writing message. Have contacted customer service. No resolution, but very courteous. Thankful that my school system is switching to another email account provider this year.

The only benefit of this app is being able to see your emails, other than that it is quite terrible. It NEEDS a feature that automatically retrieves messages like Gmail and then notifies you with a notification, as of now it does not have this. My school uses FirstClass and continuously encourages us to use it, which we would if the mobile experience was better and automatically notified us with out emails instead of having to always check them manually, once this feature is included, I will be pleased.

I am still waiting for an update because this has so many bugs in it. Sometimes emails not from other first class accounts open up without the text, and if they do have the text, replies to these emails often do not get sent (or even saved as in progress - they are just lost). Fix your bugs by now please!

This app is great sometimes, and horrible other times. I've had some troubles with retrieving emails from folders. I also have no issue reading emails from other FirstClass users, but outside emails often never load. It also frequently hangs and freezes while responding to emails, requiring me to force close.

CHECK WITH YOUR EMPLOYER, the Android app uses a different server than iOS and the desktop version. As soon as you find out the correct server, it works just fine. Unfortunately it's rather limited compared to the iOS version (no chat etc).

If there was a way to put zero stars I would! I can't wait for my company to discontinue using First Class for our email service. The app keeps giving me Network Errors even after several UN-installs and re-installations of the app. What a waste!

It does not work on the android system. I tried to use it on my htc one x, and my samsung galaxy tablet with no results. I did try it on my wifes iphone and it worked. I know the system works and it is very useful but the android support is pitiful at best. Please please please give more support to the android market. The error message I got was #8 network I/O. Like I said tried it the wifes iphone and it worked just fine.

The functionality is abysmal. I can never send, reply, or forward messages. Occasionally, I can save a draft and then I have to get on my laptop to send it. In addition, if you receive a message with multiple people in the To: or cc: fields you will not be able to read the actual message--you are unable to scroll down to see the message field. I would highly discourage anybody, or organization, from using this app or platform.

Works fine on Apple phones with iOS. Type in the same login and server on Android phone and it doesn't work at all with inability to get past loading screen. Stop being lazy and stop using the same programming code from iOS for Android! It's obvious this app is for iOS and you just copied and pasted the app code thinking iOS and Android are the same. Lazy, lazy programmers.

This app works for basic features of First Class once you get it installed. I had a hard time getting the app to even install on my phone. I can check my email and news conferences, bit I can't see my calendar and can't sync my calendar events from my phone, which is something I've always done with the old Palm I had before. The "remember password" option is useless because it never remembers the password and even with the box checked, I have to type in my password each time I open the app.

I don't even know why they bother offering this app for Android with how terrible it runs. Most times I can't even log on, I just get an error that then asks me if I want to work on offline mode (which defeats the purpose because my emails won't load in offline mode). Then when I do occasionally get on and try to send an email, I usually just get an error when I try to send it and the email dissapear all together. This is a joke of an app.

Can't say I haven't been patient, but after 4 months of trying to get connected, and sending a request to help remedy what ever error code 8 is with no response, I'm done. I would like to say the service is poor, but since I have no service and no one responds to inquiries they just have no service period. No stars at all, but it made me give them one to post this.

This could be the worst app or email client ever created. It appears to be someone's first coding project. No notifications, horrible outdated UI, constant crashes, and inability to do basic functions. If I wasn't forced to used this I would avoid it like the plague.

I cannot send email using this app! Twice now, I have typed out detailed responses to parents only to hit send and get some sort of error message and find my email is completely gone! I will give two stars though, for the fact that I can read emails just fine, which is very convenient.

Barely functions. Often loses emails before they are sent. User interface is often nonintuitive. Crashes often. Work on this or drop it, but it's been 9 months since the last update. At this point I hate first class. I'll try to get my school to switch.

Whoever developed this abomination clearly had 0 intention of doing a good job. Nothing works as you would expect, the UI has no resemblance with the other versions of this software, functions are missing or not working, or the app just crashes or freezes. Just sending replying email to the sender is a challenge. The only thing that makes me use it is the fact that I am forced to. Don't download unless you have no other choice.

This programme is extremely frustrating. It's highly unstable (often giving an error message part way through composing) at which point one must rewrite the text from the beginning. Additionally, when receiving a message from a group with multiple users, the text below cannot be read. This app was not thoroughly thought out.

I'm having trouble of sending my emails and it does not refresh it self. I have tried to send an email but it does not show up on in my mailbox that I have sent it or not. In addition, it deletes it's self while I'm in the middle of typing an email. I have not had this trouble before till this occurs. Also, can you add a unread/unsent button too. It be really amazing if you did.

This app worked well for a long time. Sadly, my school district changed something on our system that linked our computer log in to FC and since then, I can't get past the login screen. Says password/user incorrect.

I don't have access to all my folders and conferences, I can't search, I can't check the email history to see if emails have been read or not. Additionally, of I have unread messages in my inbox that are not necessarily new (and I always do), my phone constantly notifies me that there are unread messages in my inbox. The most annoying feature of all is how unstable the compose message function is. Little things can disrupt the application and it doesn't save drafts. Messages just disappear.

After reading the reviews, and seeing the VERY solid VERY low score, I was nervous. I had tried this last year and it didn't work, but I wanted to try it again. Knocking on wood it loads fine, I get my messages, everything seems to be working now. Looking at the dates of the low reviews, perhaps some of them should retry the program. It might have been junk and not working in the past, but it appears to have been fixed, and the scores should be adjusted to reflect that change.
