FirstView® is your resource for knowing the location of your student’s bus, estimated arrival times at your student’s stop and when your student’s bus arrives or departs their school. FirstView® is a partnership between First Student and the school districts we serve, bringing increased transparency and communication about the school bus for students and their families. Currently, FirstView® is only available to a small number of school districts but we are working hard to offer it to as many districts as possible! Please contact your school district or our FirstView® support team if you would like to know if FirstView® is available for you.

Live Tracking
• The FirstView® map screen shows you the live location and direction of your student’s bus, your student's stop schedule for the current day and timestamps for school arrivals and departures.
Predictive Stop Arrival Times
• Analyzing route and real-time GPS data, we determine an estimated time of arrival to your stop provided on the FirstView® map.
Custom Alerts and Messages
• Set up push or email notifications alerting you when your student's bus is a chosen distance or number of minutes away from your stop.
• Receive push messages about why your student’s bus is late and an estimation of how long it will be delayed.
Multi-Stop View
• Buses for all your students can be tracked with FirstView®. Using individual colors for each student, every selected stop appears on the map simultaneously for easy viewing and differentiation.
Additional User Notifications
• The main user of the FirstView® app can connect three additional email accounts to receive email alerts.
Secure and Easy Access
• FirstView® requires a password-protected account along with your student’s ID for app set-up. This way, only you can view your student’s stop.
• Register and log-in from your smartphone, tablet or desktop.

It's average. It kinda works sometimes. The interface isn't great but it's kinda functional. I don't trust the app because it only notifies me maybe 50% of the time. Yes, I know how to configure the app and handle notifications, I'm "tech-savvy". That being said, the issue could be with the bus company, i.e. Yhe app isn't getting accurate information from the source. But that shouldn't be my problem. And the interface looks dated, reminds of very early Android apps.
The app is never accurate with timing. So I put on a reminder at first the first two weeks were good that was when school started. It is so pointless. The reminder I set for one mile away. It doesn't even go off. To let us get prepared. Nope. I thought it would be helpful. But it's not. Update it fix it something then I would like to use again.
The notifications are incredibly inaccurate. Every morning it says the bus is 2 miles from the stop at least 5 minutes AFTER my child has been picked up. The pickup time also doesnt reflect what time the bus is even supposed to arrive at our stop. For the first several days of school my child couldn't catch the morning bus because the bus barn and the app said the pickup time was more than 10 minutes later. Then in the afternoons it says it's 1 mile from the stop AFTER my child is already home.
This is the second school year I've used this app, and they keep improving upon it. Now, all apps get their glitches periodically (and I had one), but the support team was seriously on top of things. They emailed me back quickly after they investigated the situation, and then explained AT LENGTH what was going on. No brush offs. No excuses. This whole platform is impressive.
I would give this app no stars if that were possible. My daughter is the first stop on her bus, the bus doesn't show up in the map for first stops. Only after tge bus has been to the first stop does the bus show up on the map. A default first stop should have been programmed for just outside of the terminal so that ALL the stops would show on the map. Totally useless app.
Pretty much useless. Most days it doesn't even work and when it does it's behind the bus. You'll get notifications about the bus and when you click it, it just takes you to the main page but doesn't tell you what the notification was even for.
The idea behind this app is great! But after about 2 weeks using it, not once was it one time. Yes, it refreshes every 15 seconds, but it's still behind by at least 3-4 mins. I watched today my kids get dropped off at their bus stop but the app showed then just leaving the school
Changed from 1 star when I couldn't log in due to an update glitch. Though this isn't perfect, once you get to understanding that the timing is off by a few minutes it is really a helpful app especially if the bus is running late. Glad you fixed the bug before winter!
Not dependable. Gives messages like internet not available and won't show map even though every other app I use to get in the internet works. In closing, since it's not reliable, it's useless.
First time. It showed the bus on the route and we got a pretty clear idea of when it was going to be there, the proof, broken app the next day. The estimated times are wrong, and the bus doesn't show up on the GPS anymore. I even looked at the map after my nephew got dropped off. Nothing, not a bus in sight. They really should have worked out the troubleshooting and bugs, giving it a go during summer, but nope. Garbage, hope they fix it soon.
This app is terrible. Everytime I followed the apps "advice" my child missed the bus. I used the 2 mile warning option. Unfortunately this app doesn't recognize difference between 2 miles from stopping at the stop & 2 miles from driving near the stop. So every morning I get it's one and only alarm telling me that bus is 19 mins away! Then time is normally off from 6 to 10 mins. This morning I could see the bus & app was still saying 8 mins away. As coming up to our stop it jumped from 8 to 1 min
When it works it is so helpful, especially in the winter. But, the last month or two it very rarely works. Very frustrating and I'm *this* close to deleting it. Please, please fix this app back to its wonderful working self.
Horrible experience with this app! Till date, I have not received one proper notification. Absolutely unreliable!! Contacting support has not helped! And the worst thing is, if I were to depend solely on this app, I would have missed my son's bus everyday!!
Maybe 1.5 stars - tops. I've been using this app for a whole school year. Top complaints: It's not accurate, there's a big lag, it's often disconnected from GPS, updates are delivered well after they're helpful. Every day (not exaggerating) it will say the bus is 10-12 minutes out when it drives past our house. The drop-off will go from that 10-12 min to "arrived" with less than 1 minute having passed. I will watch the bus go by while the app says it's still on a different street, and that's if the map is connected at all. Updates about the bus being late or having a different driver often come through HOURS after it's relevant information. If you were truly counting on this app for accurate information, you'd be in a rough spot.
