Fishbrain - Fishing App

I have been using this app for a good 4 years now, and unfortunately, it has been going downhill for around a year. The basics all work great, like finding where a person said they caught something or trying to look for new lakes, but some of the more nuanced little things have been slipping. For example, when trying to look at comments, it just shows a blank tab or how the screen stutters when scrolling for a longer time. This app is cool, but seriously need a lot of bug fixes for simple tasks.

I was hoping the new update would solve my issue but it does not. When selecting a body of water the different tabs you choose ( top baits and catches) keep overlaying each other. And make the screen I'm viewing almost completely unusable. Normally I never rate ads but I sure will when I pay for premium features and can't use them because of bugs.

Ok so my biggest problems right now, are that the app wants to close on me for some reason, that when checking for the species found wherever that the initial pics freeze so when i scroll through the pics are being blocked and doesnt allow me to click on the options, it sometimes misreads fish or "cant" find it, and that i feel members states should be shown next to names. Other than these few minor issues i have, i think the app is awesome. Maybe an option for avg weight for fish lengths

I used to be in love with this app, it was amazing and really helpful. Then I started feel like I'm being limited on what I can do with pro, for, being like a social media platform for fishing, doesnt really need a pro. No social media makes you pay money to unlock features. Fishing alone is very expensive, why spend more. The basic features, however, are really good, but there are still many things that can and would make the best fishing app out there better.

Really nice app you can find a lot of information that you need. You can also figure out what's best for where and when your fishing. And you can meet a bunch of great people too. And you will be welcomed by everyone and can share your catches and have them appreciated. Great app for fisherman I highly recommend and I feel that it is worth getting the Fishbrain Pro

*edit I just got back into the app and I can say with certainty that I am completely and totally satisfied with the changes the app has received. Most of the aspects that the app urged you to buy for whatever reason are now free. Users like me can once again get all the info they need to know where and when to catch fish. And to be honest, with the state of the app right now, this might be one of the best fishing info apps on the market. Thank you fishbrain for making your app more accessible!

Getting a picture of a fish is cool, but when that takes priority over handling the fish in a safe maner, that's not cool. This app has a culture of pictures regardless of what happens to the fish or how it was handled. Multiple posts showing improper handling of trout and other fish species. They should encourage proper handling and good stewardship of the natural resources we have. Good stewardship should be the culture that is encouraged so that future generations may enjoy fishing as well.

Been using it for awhile but after this last update it stopped working. Nothing loads it just says there is an error and won't show anything on the maps or any feeds on the main screen.

Used to work perfectly. Now I cannot log into my account and the links are broken. Sadly I will have to switch to a different application that can provide me a flawless service for the time being. But I will definitely return to this app if this issue is fixed/resolved. Edit: Wonderful customer service rep, quick resolve to me grievances, and still an easy to use, wonderful app. 4 stars for you, Fishbrain

Love this app for the sole fact it's hands down the best app to use to find fishing spots. I love looking at the map and finding a fishing hole that others have logged their catches and experience. I find myself scrolling the map for new spots, finding one that looks promising, and immediately dragging my kayak there. Oh and so far the community seems pretty positive and helpful. Haven't tried the paid experience yet as the app makes it unclear exactly what you get if you pay to subscribe.

I want to love this app. It has a lot of promise, i really like the depth maps as someone who fishes from the bank often. However the user interface is kind of poor, and none of the filter settings for my feed work. I'm tired of seeing catches from places out of state, even though I've modified my filter to only show catches on my home lake. Also at times a lot of the map features refuse to work, like spot prediction or catch positions. If i pay for it, i want it to work.

App has a ton of potential but they continue to change things. Now I can only see the last 10 catches at a spot. I'm assuming if I paid, I could see the rest. They did something similar with the lures last year, but changed it back. I get not seeing exact spots, water depths or even lures for free, but this is social media. Looking at posted pics should be free. Another app allows a lot more..

Fairly solid app that's great for any anglers out there that are looking to share their pb's or other catches. My only gripe at the moment is that the gear is still limited and I am unable to log most of what I have in my tackle. Otherwise, easy to use and fairly comprehensive app with a lot of potential.

I want to look at fish caught. I get a button in the middle of the pictures that says more pictures available. I press it it goes away then comes back. Please remove this stupid intrusion that has no justification and is intrusive.

App is slower than pouring frozen syrup from a closed bottle. New app update requires you to click into a post in order to see the body of water. Loading that takes up to 30 seconds each time, PLUS many of the posts you see are from neighboring states. I dont mind seeing that but considering I can recognize and look for a specific dozen or so spots near me, it's dumb I have to click each post open and wait to find out the water is in a different state.

Terrible app. You can only see the good fishing spots in the paid subscription version. The free version directs you to bodies of water that either: don't exist, are private property, or are heavily polluted.

This app is very useful when it works but when I can't use the pro features paid for when I'm planning a trip it its a let down. It costs more than some streaming services and not worth it. I'm stopping my subscription this month.

I wanna like this app but the "new posts" tab that brings you to top of page is just too annoying. Located right in the top center of the screen at all times even after pressing it. Please change that feature.

App hasn't worked since I downloaded (and purchased) it. Reached out several times and have been ignored. Replied to the email sent by fishbrain and get a kickback email stating that I can't reach that email address. Complete scam! I want my money back!!!

To many issues with this app, updates anly create new problems. I'm now trying to delete my account but fishbrain make that more difficult then it needs to be aswell. Ive done what it said I had to but my account is still active

I generally love this app, but the last update seems to have broken things. I can no longer "log" a catch. It acts like it's uploading then I just get an "Errors" box. It is extremely frustrating. I can add a post but not log a catch. This seems to be happening to a number of people. Please fix this.

Trying to sell premium way too hard. Apparently not enough people pay for it, because they keep taking away features. It is pretty close to useless now, unless you pay for it.

Really fun, and gives great spots. It has a pretty good logbook and posting system. Though, pro version is expensive and sometimes the spots don't actually exist
