Fishidy: Local Fishing Reports

Used this app for years, wasnt perfect on depths but gave a good idea of where the contour changes were. Now with the update I can't go to my waterways with contour changes. Very disappointed, why change something that worked fine prior? Reviews have been getting worse and worse, there's a good reason for it. Will not use anymore, unfortunately there are no apps that do this without subscribing and paying a bunch of money as fishidy used to.

It's an okay app, but as with most fishing apps, it's really a social media app for fisherman as opposed to a fishing tool. The insights section is what I was most interested in as I wanted a reference for solunar cycles and weather for planning fishing trips. Solunar info and weather info is not consolidated into any kind of rating, meaning you need to scroll thru each item for each day and make a determination from the individual charts. Also, only 4 days of projections are provided. The species forecasts seem generic or are missing. On one lake I was looking at (a lake that has separate north and south parts) the north part of the lake had no info, while the south had full info. There was a species forecast for bluegills, but the chart was empty for all four days. The ones for bass and pike were populated, but had almost no variation over the four days even though weather conditions were varying widely. The social media portions I can't really comment on as I don't use them.

Has been progressively worse over the years. Each update actually makes the App less effective and more difficult to use. Biggest complaint...not user friendly at all. The buttons and menus most useful are tiny and difficult to find. The buttons least relevant to anyone are bold and obvious. Also has several sup-pages and important features that never really load completely or dont function interactively.

Not impressed at all with this app. As pointed out by other users, it's glitchy and frequently crashes on my Google Pixel 3 XL and Samsung TAB 2. That's frustrating, but I get there's a thousand devices and hard to accommodate them all. However, the topographical lines for the lakes in my area (in and around Nashville) are not even ball park close. Water levels do rise and fall...agreed. But we're talking there's an island that rises 10 feet out of the water and their topo map shows that it should be well underwater. Also, the contour lines showing depth are exceptionally poorly marked making them just about unusable. I've been staring at military topographical maps for 20 years. When I say these are inaccurate and poorly organized, it comes from some experience. The identified "fishing hotspots" are interesting, but not worth paying $10 month or $50 a year. Between the glitching and unreliable depth chart, I wouldn't bother with this app. Even as a one time payment it's questionable value. There certainly isn't any reason to have a subscription.

I purchased the premium after seen a printed Fishing HotSpots map. I am completely disappointed, the information is outdated from 2014-2017, also the data is freely available on other apps and on the web. The app has some nice features like underwater vegetation, contours and depths but with the data been outdated hard to know if its accurate or not.

its okay......hotspots don't always show up. Actually they have only showed up once. Tried downloading maps for offline use and it fails 67% into download. Not what i was expecting when I pay for something. Hopefully customer service will reach out to me so I can get things working the way they should. Update:::Works great now after customer service reached out to me and we fifured out what was happening. If you are having problems with the app, leave a review and they will reach out to you.

Cons: Click catch on map 2 see details but can't see entire lure name & can't click on it to see the rest? Much easier/smoother to use on laptop (very hard to find & go to your followed waterway maps on phone app or even desktop site on phone.) Glitchy when posting a catch, it won't show up so u question if u hit the right button? Post it again... later it shows up double posted & with incorrect catch dates/times (unless i do it on my laptop) Pros: Love seeing everyone's pics & Hot spots

Bad review, because I paid for the subscription to get the "enhanced features" and nothing happened when I tried to select the enhance map overlay options, it just kept telling me I needed to upgrade, which I already had. I cancelled my subscription, uninstalled the app, and I want a refund for the $9.99 I paid for nothing!!!

Paid for the premium version and I haven't received any of the premium benefits. Even time I try to turn on a premium map feature it says I need to sign up for premium. I have tried to sign up again and it says error you're already a premium member. Contacted the company and got no response. Moral of the story I just wasted 10 bucks for nothing.

I had really hoped the premium version would have more detailed contour information! The maps are not very well defined for depth. Also the contours that are shown do not have enough labels to identify the contour rings??

Update: after reaching out to tech support, the issue has been corrected. I used this app a few years ago in the premium version and liked and thought since i have more time to fish, i would get premium again. Well i subscribed on May 31st but still havent not been able to access any of the premium features....just keeps saying the servers are busy. I want my money back if I cant use it.

Useless. This app provides no information into any pond, lakes, creeks, ect even with the premium membership. The app states it provides information on fishing hotspots, vegetation, depth, underwater compositions and structures but fails to provide any information regarding any of it. It is essentially an expensive, overpriced google maps. I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone. Save your money. Edit: I do have the premium version of this app. I still do not have access to any of the features.

Great app. Allows me to look at maps, document my catches, view others catches and communicate with fellow anglers. Currently using the free version. Considering upgrading this year. Thank you for the work involved in creating and maintaining this app. Tight lines!

It keeps taking me to a lake in Texas - no where near where we are fishing. Searched for our place and tried to access it that way - no luck. Still back in Texas. Edit ... was able to get it to "find" us on the correct lake after reintalling, but it takes us to different lakes (in other states) when we reopen the app.

Its ok, shows you places where people have logged fish before but most of the features are only available with premium. As an avid fisherman, I would consider getting the premium if I could try it first, but there isn't an option for that, you can't preview how accurate it is for your favorite Lakes for even a week, you have to pay for it first

Not interested in catches from 2015. Tried in vain to delete acct, but it's finagled to where the keyboard disappears after every letter of the password, locks up then sends ya right back to the beginning. Tried a lucky seven times, and no dice. Not cool, Fishidy. I'm gonna pretend your developers had an oversight rather than accuse you of being sketchy.

A great app for some of the information it provides, but it's also a little off. It shows boat ramps in the wrong places, that makes it really hard to get to a specific place you want to fish. If they could polish that up a bit it could easily be 5 stars.

ive never left a review before but for paying 10 bucks to try this app out and it still tells me to upgrade or subscribe without giving me the upgraded features really got to me, and when i click upgrade it says ive already upgraded so why dont i have any of the features?? also when updating tour profile nothing saves. super glitchy please fix these problems.

It's a good app, I utilized the hotspot feature but when clicking on the icon you have to press multiple times until it pop up. It's not a loading issue, everything has load on screen but still sometime you get lucky it pops up right away but rarely. Please fix this and I'll give it 5 stars.

Meh.. I found that in the areas I might fish (Choctawatchee Bay, SJB, etc) only ONE fish has been reported on the app in the past 8 months! So, it might be a good app, but other anglers aren't using it or aren't sharing their information. The other thing I noticed is when I go to layers and ask it to filter out by fish species (i.e spotted sea trout, redfish, etc), there is nothing listed to filter out...just blank. I don't have a way to check out the Premium features, so don't know if worth it.

Navigation has gotten worse with newer versions. Not a consistent experience between the desktop & mobile versions. I like the concept, only wish it worked better.

Galaxy Note 8. Premium member, but Hot Spots aren't opening. App has crashed multiple times... follow up: emailed customer support. app hasn't crashed in a while, hot spots just load a little slow now.

It's a very cool app, despite the fact that I did not use it as much as I thought I would. I bought a premium subscription for a month, considering the fact that it really makes the app worth while. What I did not realize, is that they will hit you with a premium charge every month until you unsubscribe. I sent an email to customer service asking for a refund and I did not receive an email back but I did receive my refund. Fix the dirty marketing and this app is 5 stars all day...
