Almost everything works great! The only issue is that some products are duplicated and you need to check the actual nutritional value before choosing the right one. It should be easier to mark the inaccurate products and they should be somehow reviewed.
I would rate the app a 5 but everytime I go out of settings it changes my info birthday, height etc. It's going to make me delete the app. Because it isn't keeping up with anything correctly so what is the point. I have the free version and an Android. I don't know why it would make a difference I just figured I would say.
Seems to be a good app, but I have not much experience with it. I like scanning bar codes function, and quite big database of products.
So far this seems like a well rounded app. I just wish it had ounce measurements for the water. If it does, I haven't found it.
Can you add a function to enable flash on camera during barcode scan? Can you also add the option to re-arrange the order of meals and be able to rename them? (I don't want to have 3 snacks, would be nice to rename one of the snacks as "drinks" or "preworkout" instead of 3 times snacks. Also is it possible to hide water, toilet log? I find them unnecessary.
I preferred the smaller font and item sizes and wish we could have a setting to choose for ourselves, but apart from that no complains. Everything else works wonderfully and that's just the free version!
So far this has been the app that has worked for me. The interface is clean and easy to follow. The graph shows up right away and can be understood easily. The daily reminders work well and are fun to input. I've tried other apps and this one has the nicest interface and display. Note to developers-adding a goal date for the weight loss could be a good addition Hope anyone who made it this far has a great day and good luck with your active living goals!
The app is fine, I like it, but I can't get it to connect to Google Fit for some reason. When I try to and click the checkbox (either one) it just says "The application has not been connected".
App is overall good just it's database is kind of empty bar code can't identify a single product. M yu fitness pal database is really good
Just starting with the app and I like it. The only issue is that I have set the daily goal kcal in settings but but is not updating it on the meal plan screen.
In-app marketing is too offensive. I want to test the app and if I like it, I will buy the premium version. Constant pop-ups are very annoying, especially after adding a meal! I know that you earn money from ads, banners are okay and maybe one pop-up per day, e.g. after adding first meal, but not all the time. This is really annoying and does not encourage to purchase the premium version. It does quite the opposite.
I have been really happy with this app for a few years and got the premium subscription a few month back. I am regretting it now as after the latest update the app is riddled with bugs. For example, it often (every 3rd-4th time it seems) gives an error when adding an entry or straight up opens without showing the old entries and not allowing new ones that takes a few restarts to fix. Please fix the basic functionality to work stably before adding the new features.
Fitatu used to be great app. Big base of products and codes scanner are able to provide nice experience. However, recently some disadvantages appeared. I don't mind commercials as long as app is usable with them. Currently, they're too annoying to just use app. The main problem is that it's hard to close some ads. Some seem even impossible to close. Moreover, pretty often when commercial is appearing, the buttons in UI are being shifted. It often leads to misclicks.
Started using calorie counters again after a lapse, and settled on this because the interface is much simpler than other apps out there (have tried a lot). I'm tentatively optimistic about this one - I like that it's pretty barebones and doesn't have annoying reminders/community chats, and the UI is perfectly uncluttered. Premium upgrade ad is annoying but unobtrusive. One thing I'd like to see is the option for your stats to be presented in a visual format (like a graph).
A magnificent alternative to MyFitnessPal. Search having 3 tabs can make it frustrating at times, but overall very reliable and I definitely recommend it. However, there's still room for improvement. Edit: the app is great, and I have been using it religiously ever since moving away from MFP. It has bugs here and there but it is overall extremely good, up to 5 stars from 4 Edit 2: Moving back down to 4 because every update resets your recently searched items and it's extremely annoying
App is great, it helps me a lot to control my diet. But I noticed some mistakes in the amount of calories in some dishes in recipes section. I reported that but till now no one changed it. Mistakes like that happens when common people adding new products and dishes and no one controls it . Overall, i can still recommend Fitatu, but use it wisely.
Okay so I've never felt compelled to write a review before but this app is just so so great!! It has so many features which all are adjustable and it's all for free! I can only imagine what the paid version offers. I'm actually baffled, keep up the good work. I recommend it to everyone! Oh and the interface is just aesthetically pleasing and simple?! I'm lost for words!!
the search function is challenging to use as it is very disorganized and there's not a clear format for whole foods. the color scheme and layout makes it difficult to read, and there's no option to easily search previously used foods. split screen on android is not supported- any time i exit split screen after meticulously entering info from another app such as recipe or nutritional info, fitatu refreshes and resets to the home page and all my work is lost. i will go back to using "lose it."
It used to be more useable than currently, but there were also times when it was worse. There were periods with almost no ads, and with really annoying amount of ads, currently bin between. Search algo changes often recently, sometimes it prefers products you already used, sometimes only from same meal, sometimes it is fuzzy (matches words in any order), sometimes strict. In general basic (with ads) functionality is OK currently but was better in the past and changes often now so 3 stars.
I've been using it for 1.5 year already and I really enjoyed the simplicity of the process, but lately the ads got out of control. On my phone (Samsung s10+) I cannot close the full screen pop-up ads, as the "x" is not visible - which means I have to restart the app basically at each meal... Fix please!
Absolutely love the app, I think it is wonderful and detailed, clearly lots of planning and care went into it. However, and that is the only negative thing I can think of; having to get premium in order to link certain fitness apps to it? That is a bit unreasonable. The rest, I completely understand and support.
