Since the latest update I can no longer sync at will. I have to wait for the device to choose to sync. I even bought a new fitbark thinking mine was broken- nope just the app.

Help! it keeps saying there is a bug and it will force close. I can't even pair my device!

Update other than the notifications it works great. The notifications are large and appear over top of what I am doing instead of on the notification bar. The latest android update now turns the screen black behind pop up notifications. Chat was unable to help. We had some difficulty setting up the app, my wife chatted with tech support and got it going.

Developer please fix - when the app works and syncs it's great, and the metrics are really insightful, but the FitBark does not sync in the background, manual sync using the button in the app is hit and miss, and usually I have to force close and restart the app. I've double-checked all android settings (app is allowed to run in background unrestricted, no battery optimisation or network restriction etc.) and all are fine, the app sync is unfortunately just buggy and not fit for purpose.

The device is great, the app is terrible. The refresh icon might be a button that usually doesn't work, or it might just be an icon that randomly turns, who knows. You frequently have to force kill the app to get a refresh. You can see step counts in 2 parts of the app, one shows 0 some days, while the other shows actual steps, they are not always in sync. The more advanced features are not easy to navigate. The whole experience is just a buggy mess. So much wasted potential.

Why I like it: This thing really helped me get my old dog into shape. We're taking it slow by hitting a movement goal a little bit lower than the suggested goal based on his Age, Weight, and Height because he's got a weak hip, but we're hitting our personal goals with a lot more consistency. The different graphs you can generate are nice too. What I didn't like: The interface is easy to get lost in. The graphs could use a interactivity overhaul. Slow sync issues, but my internet also stinks.

I had a lot of issues at the beginning trying to sink the fitbark, it was just not working, however I voice what was happening before I return it and the customer service and technical support were just amazing. They continued trying to help me until they figure out the issue. Now the fitbark is working great and I'm even thinking about getting one for the rest of my dogs.

I have to say the customer service through the support chat is more than excellent! Everytime I've had a problem they have been so helpful, & when the problem isn't fixable they've sent me a new unit very quickly. The only thing I have to say negative about the device is battery life and the app not always syncing properly. I take my dogs collar off every night anyway so plugging it in isn't that big of a deal, and I just restart my phone and resync. I highly recommend!❤

Eventually stops syncing, device and/or app are garbage. Syncing, if it works, is slow and painful. The zip ties break so easily at times, we've replaced quite a few. The app recently demands app permissions that I do not want it to have, which should be optional. I find that unacceptable, and will no longer use this app. But the app didn't work well anyway, I've since bought a Fi Collar, which actually works quickly, and well.

What a great device! Love ALL the data I get on my beloved Louie. The app is easy to use but it takes a bit of exploring to find all of the cool charts and graphs that are available. Love it!! Only downside is the you need to apply with zip ties. Not a problem unless you want to switch out collars (if you need to wash one) and then you need to reapply with new set of ties. The good thing is that you are provided with several zip ties with your fitbark. 5 stars!!!

Apps has gone down hill in a big way. Seriously drains battery with no way to turn it off. Force Stop is just temporary as it will restart itself. All-day sync now mandatory, no longer have a choice when to sync. Ads occasionally appear. Still fails to sync on occasion, locks up as much as ever. Give us a simple reliable app.

I like the app but i wouldnt say i love it. Its clean, it looks nice and so far its worked really well. i just find the interface a bit off putting and there are screens that i press on or come across and im not entirely certain how to interpret whats on the screen. Some in app explanations or information buttons would be nice. Overall this isgreat for keeping an eye on my dogs fitness. I thought my dog wasnt doing enough exercise but compared to some of her peers she is an olympian.

The fix for the bug has everything working great again!

Downloaded it to my S9 plus. Couldn't sign up or login with facebook. A window briefly appears then disappears. When i sign up, it wants my picture and my dogs picture. I get it, but it should be optional. I dont want my photos online. Then it wants my dogs birthday. I get that puppy owners would know, but my dog was a rescue. A lot of this stuff should be optional. Nice app, but SOOOO buggy! I think the worst part is that, they are trying to eliminate the second hand market. You cannot sell these as they are PERMANENTLY tied to your dog. So NO re-selling. This is corporate greed. There is NO reason to do this.

Talked to tech support several times to do basic setup things that were not working. I was asked to log out and back in. The app never worked again. Uninstalled then reinstalled twice. App stuck on initial picture. Customer support is very quick and friendly but the app is a bucket of glitches. The product is useless without app.
