I've liked the app so far, but the portion size directions are a little confusing sometimes. I'd love it if there was a way to convert the oz. into measurements like cups as I dont own a food scale. Also, some of the recipes call for ingredients that never ended up on the shopping list portion of the app. Overall, it's doing its job, but the UX could be improved.
Disappointing "meal plans". One meal generated was boiled artichokes and canned tuna. Where are the seasonings? Actual recipes that I can go back to again and again? It's hard enough to meet macronutrient goals when trying to eat for fitness, and nothing brought to my attention was something that sounded appealing. And I happen to enjoy cooking! This is a nice app in theory, but it needs a lot more work to become truly accessible.
All the guesswork is gone with this App. It calculates my macros and finds the food to make them up. I love that it is all planned. Simple meals, nothing that requires a long time to prep. Great for busy people. I also love having the shopping list. The cherry on top is the low cost of the upgrade. The only thing I wish is there was more variety included in their food suggestions.
Excellent so far, although I have only just downloaded it. But very impressed none the less. Easy to create a meal plan and it lays out your daily intake very clearly for you, also the fact it creates a shopping list for you just topped it off in my opinion, super easy to go to the store now. One thing that could be beneficial though, is to be able to change the amounts you're eating in meals, so customise portion sizes, e.g 6 eggs instead of 2, which the app gave standard
Pros: SOME aspects are easy, fun and cool to use (the slot wheel idea, the shopping list, your personal info and food avoidances). Cons: MORE THAN PROS :/ Upgrades are deceptive and pointless, meal plan is only good for one day, it gives you all of these options for foods in the settings but then you are EXTREMELY limited on selections while planning your meals, it also wouldn't let me do a Paleo way (which I changed to reg just to see), very CONFUSING at times...DISAPPOINTED :(
Great to give you an idea of macros for meal prep. But .. it is extremely basic. I am vegan and hardly any of my suggested meals had greens in them. It kept you at the basic X grams of a Protein (like tempeh), X grams of Carbs(like bulgur) , X grams of Fat (avocado). Also, I do intermittent fasting, so it would have been helpful to easily set an eating window instead of changing every meal individually.
It makes creating meal plans easy without being an expert on nutrition. Although the options are varied from multiple cuisines, they are limited in number. The meal plan calculated is the same everyday for the week (which can be changed to preferences).
Not a terrible app. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of what I should eat. I just wish there were more recipes. I'm not creative in the kitchen, so I keep getting stuck with bland chicken and rice. Would also like if veggies weren't limited. No one ever failed fat camp from eating too much broccoli.
Seems like a pretty cool app, need some more time to mess around with it to fully understand everything. I would like to see how they are calculating the macros needed though. For example, is it 2.5 g of protein per pound of lean muscle, 2g of fat per pound of lean muscle, etc? And also would like to be able to adjust them myself. For example less calories allowed on my Rest days, and less carbs for cutting phases. Is this something that's included in the premium?
This app is perfect. I've trained for years and I find it so hard to just eat right and know when and what to eat. This app has made it way too simple while at the same time giving a clear breakdown on what you need and your intake. Also everything is healthy , you just have to be dedicated. Heres the kicker... this app gives you the same information for free that you'd have to pay for normally.
I just downloaded this app but it seems like what I was looking for. The thing I like the most is the fact that you can tailor it according to your specific conditions. The only suggestion I'd have for them is to offer the 1 meal and 2 meal a day option for people who are doing Intermittent Fasting.
Erm not for me thanks. It'd be ideal if it did it for a whole week or so but eating the same thing day after day is insane. Even the refresh is limited. And the sign up seems to have zero benefits unfortunately. Nice free app if your stuck for ideas. Not much else after that.
Randomly generated meals. Really bizzare 'meal' combos. chickpeas with walnuts, rice and chicken, etc. Sounds really unappetising. Often no vegetable on plan, told no wheat or egg and it gave me whole wheat bread and quorn with walnuts as a meal. You can edit the meals, but if you want veggies you often have to add them, so may as well just plan your own meals.
I was excited to subscribe but now disappointed. Its not working as it should!! Pitty!! Seems that the meals are planned randomly and so irrelavant between them. One example they gave me a meal plan that contains broccoli a kiwi and yogurt! There arent snacks between meals which are necessary if you work out!And also in my meal there is protein shake but doesnt even define what that protein shake should contain **** how can i replace meal items??The meal items are randomly chosen!
Easy to navigate. I love using the app. I just wish it didn't have a subscription in order to use the premium features. I'd buy the app if need be, but not a fan of subscriptions. Does take any stars away from it though.
Very much full of bugs. Meal plans not updating after setting restrictions. Bought premium to be able to print pdf. The pdf is poorly organized. The meal plans are wierd to say the least. 11 eggwhites on one meal? 400grams of tempeh on one meal? Seriously? Cancelled subscription right away so i wouldn't be billed again and immidiately lost access to my premium content wich should not happen. Refund? No refunds says the unsubscription email verification. STAY AWAY FROM THIS! EDIT:Got full refund
It's not perfect yet, needs more food options for the UK supermarkets and it also needs more recipe options. But such a good way to make yourself a rough plan to build upon
I really love the simplicity of this app! the only gripe I have is that I am only able to view today's meals even if I can get a 7 day shopping list. I want to meal prep and can't!
This thing is AWFUL, your ads cause your tips to get stuck the meals are all over the place, the stroller is so over sensitive it's near impossible to stop it in the next badly listed meal. Uninstalled.....not worth the headache and no I won't contact you the app is rubbish period.
***Update: The "update" solved nothing. It still thinks that the only source of protein is meat. Even when I include beans/lentils/seafood, etc (scientifically proven sources of protein that I want to eat) it still didn't work. I don't think this app uses proven science for its data. It also gives very bland meals that include virtually no produce. Not for me! 🤷🏽***Couldn't use this app because of my food allergies. Clearly the developers don't know that meat is not the only source of protein.
It's a great app, I get to organize and eat my pre planned meals at a timely manner. 4 stars is the best I can give it!!
Really good app! I have been using for 3 months and I lost 11pounds so far. Really big help for who dont have a nutritionist to help on meal preps and stuff. You will need some knowledge and research to know what is the best for you, but this app is a HUGE help!
Good app overall... Keeps me on schedule to eat my meals which is helpful.... Though it would be nice if more meal options were presented in conjuction with the time...like who wants to have something like oats for dinner?
Seems like it could be a good app just super complicated the hints popping up made it annoying to try an figure out. Simplify your app. And the meal wheel didn't care for that layout.
Great set up. Easy to use and able to edit meals for options. So your not forced to eat the same thing over and over.
The app is very user friendly, making it quite easy to navigate between recipes. Looking forward to seeing more interesting recipes.
I like being able to pick out food from the different categories(protein,fat,carbs) that are needed. However I wish there was more variety in each category, more options of proteins carbs and sides. I'm surprised at the lack of vegetables as an option, and will see myself getting sick of the options quickly. But I do love the food reminder option, I'm not use to eating 6 times a day and with a very busy lifestyle I NEED the reminders! I also love how you can adjust anything..
