Great app, the coaching is really nice for me. A shame that it goes back in the normal fitbit app without the main features, like seeing the timeline of the workouts and the ability to keep the workout playing when the phone is lock or when the app is in the background. I might stop my premium membership if these features don't come in the standard fitbit app

Great range of exercises and very clear instructions, with excellently produced videos. Download times can be frustrating: if you do the same exercises regularly you still have to go through downloading them every single time! Desperately needs a search function to be able to find the exercise or muscle group you want to work on. Favourited exercises should be easy to find. This app has changed my life but could be so much better!

I really want to like this service. The content is great. However, the app is a struggle. Sometimes the casting works, sometimes not. Now it will only try to cast, will not play on phone. All videos download to my phone, each time, using up a TON of memory. I'd also like to pick the workouts that sync with my ionic fitbit. Is there a settings menu I have yet to find?

I love it, when it works... I have paid for premium subscription, but every time I want to use it, it gives me an error when trying to download my next workout. I thought I found a work around by switching back and forth between programs, but now that doesn't work anymore either... Have emailed support and they've responded, hopefully they can fix it soon

App is good, I like the fact that it adapts to your level and what you achieved in your previous workout. I've found no other app that does that. But there's a glitch that has existed since at least 2018 where certain workouts get stuck & won't download. So if you're in a program it's rendered absolutely useless - you can't do the workout you're up to because it won't download, & you can't skip & proceed to the next workout either. It's completely useless. Support has not been able to resolve it

The app is mediocre at best. It states that it has personalized workouts when they are all just set and pick. There is also no option to pick equipment that you do or do not have rendering some of the recommended exercises useless. I would also like to point out how important stretching is after a workout and this app doesn't touch on that the tiniest bit. How about warm up exercises and such. So much to work on and deff not worth paying for in my opinion.

Amazing idea, it just needs polishing. The apps functionality between coach and the Fitbit app is a bit buggy. Sometimes it won't properly log your workouts, or it'll take a few hours to actually update. All in all its a great app, the training and the exercises are great, I enjoy how they talk you through each exercise as the workout is happening so there's no need to do any homework on how to do the exercise.

This over-promises & under-delivers. Personally, I don't mind that you have to pay if you want to open more than 2 workouts but the problem is that when you choose a programme, a different session loads every time you open the app, meaning you don't get consistency. Yes, you can choose to load a different workout but it's not clear if that fits in with the regime you've chosen. Finally, the workouts are samey & not adequately challenging, even when you feedback that they are too easy.

Has limited free options, but the free options are still good, especially for beginners. Sometimes the audio cues are misplaced, like at one point it said we were going to take a quick break but then there was another exercise, then a 1min break, which was not announced. So imperfect, but the UI is clean, easy to use, and you can still play your own music during workouts, although it will stop your music when you first launch the app.

NOT worth it. I had been paying for premium with no issues for more than a year. Then I was charged more than previously, and lost access to all of the premium content (90% of the app). Support services have been a nightmare to deal with. After denying me a refund despite my loss of access to content, they proceeded to stop responding to any further questions or requests I had. Very frustrated. The workouts are somewhat bland and while there is some progression, get repetitive after a while.

I have premium and enjoy the workouts but each month after my renewal almost everything locks. The first time I contacted support and they were very helpful. I'm reviewing now because it's a very frustrating glitch, bug, or whatever. Fitbit, I'm not sure why this is a persistent problem but please put some time in fixing it as it's extremely frustrating and I don't want to have to contact support every month.

I posted a review earlier, I thought, but it seems to be gone. I paid for the year subscription, and wish I hadn't. Unless you're already in pretty good shape, almost all of the workouts are too difficult. Most of them are listed as "Hard", but should say impossible. If I could do side planks and burpees, I wouldn't need this app! I guess if you're already buff and want some variety, it might be ok. The interface isn't the greatest either, and the integration with the Ionic, not ideal. :-(

I think this app is really great! Very nice also that in these days there is a 90-day free trial. Otherwise it is rather expensive. I am considering to keep it after the trial period, because I think the coaching is really good. Very helpful and encouraging tips and clear instructions. I like the 10-minute per day program to keep in shape indoors. I also like the running programs, also here, very clear advice (think on your breathing, you feet should be under your knees, not over-reaching, or things like that), also very clear statements on how long each interval will take. But... for the running workouts I miss a few important things: - I miss a notification that I am halfway the run (I always run up and down a long street, other apps tell me when to turn around, which is really useful, but fitbit-coach doesn't have that feature) - I miss an intermediate level between easy and medium. There is only one easy outdoor-run workout, with stairs, and a medium outdoor-walk that is nice, but too easy. The medium outdoor-runs are all too hard for me. I still like to do them, up to the point where I am out of breath, and that still improves my runs considerably, but it is somewhat demotivating to know in advance that I will never make it to the end. A suggestion: it would be awesome if there was a Couch-to-5K program included.

I like the idea of thos app, but I can't just click on a workout and do it, I have to download it first, which takes a long time, then on some workouts I cannot see the moves it's just the coach talking. Plus, I'd like to see more flow stretching options, core workout options and full body workouts. You currently only a handful of stretching options. I'm not sure I would keep the app as it currently is, will stick with it another month to see if things change.

Rób. M. Oct 29, 2020

Update: Lately, it seems to be more stable. Added 1 star back.--- Downloading sessions is implemented in a very bad way, it is slow and unreliable, providing a poor and frustrating user experience, especially considering the price tag. When any other download, like Google updates are running, the workout is delayed. The article in the Fitbit reply is useless.

Pat. H. Jul 22, 2021

Awesome! I am returning to training, trying to lose weight. So having a 'get moving' level is the perfect platform for me. Spreading the exercises over a period that is effectively your own personal program. Ideal for an all over workout. There are programmes that concentrate on more focused routines. Ideal for fitness training away from the gym. I heard that it is due to be subscription only, what a shame, it is the best fitness app I am aware of.

Dan. D. Jan 12, 2021

I really want to like this app because the exercise you can get out if it is amazing, but it takes forever to load a workout (around 10 minutes), and usually the download just aborts halfway through, leaving me really frustrated with the app. Maybe the option to not download the entire workout as a video would really help people with lower bandwidth. Again, I like the app but I can't even use it most of the time.

Joa. M. Apr 8, 2021

would like to see more easy workouts....some of us are beginners. It would also be nice if instead of just playing music they would do the timing....it says to do something for 30 sec but doesn't give you the start or stop time. I guess I was thinking it would be more of a coach walking you through the exercises. It does have good examples of how to do the exercises and a variety...especially if you want a hard workout...I am just not at that level.

Lea. S. Jul 8, 2020

I like the programs especially the ones I can do without equipment. The bodyweight workouts are great. I wish this app felt more integrated with the free fitbit app. For instance, I can go running and log 10k steps in a day without utilizing "a program" with a narrator, but premium will show no workouts unless I start a program and let it run to completion. For those of us that like to see progress, that is kind of a drag.

Pol. F. Jul 20, 2020

So Buggy! Why won't anything download quickly? I'm ready to work out and it can take 10 minutes to download a 16 minute workout. Then it won't record the workout as completed on my fitbit! The only reason to use this is the fitbit tie in and it doesn't even do that well. And there are huge pauses between every exercise. There's no flow. I really wanted this to work but it's really bad. I wish they would spend more fixing the bugs than replying with help desk nonsense like restart your phone.

Ayd. D. Jul 16, 2019

The workouts are great, but it's too expensive, not worth it to pay for it by subscription and free workouts basically non existent. If it had a 45 dollar 1 time fee I would use it every day and wouldn't stop raving about it. Or if it made you pay for the hard levels once you were done the easy and medium, then your see improvement and have a routine with them already.

I have used Aaptiv before and I can say that this app does not stand a chance! You have to download the video every time. Who has all this time?! It should be able to connect to the WiFi and play. But it doesn't. You would think once you download it, you are good to go. But if you download another one and then want to come back to the first, you have to download the first again?! This is just a sad app. The only thing good about it is that it costs half as that of Aaptiv. But I guess, that's what you get when you pay less. Edit: the above is my second review of this app. Below is my first. The problem below was resolved after a lot of back and forth. PATHETIC SERVICE!! I paid for Fitbit Coach premium but all of the videos are still locked. When I try to unlock them, it asks me to pay. When click on pay, it says I have paid already and then "unexpected error occurred". Turns out, a lot of people are having the same issue. But Fitbit hasn't bothered fixing the bug.

Although I haven't really active and using it regularly because of multiple autoimmune deceased. It makes it difficult for me to take part of. But it does give you options and when I can I follow up with my exercises from my Physical Therapy. Overall it helps me a lot. They give you different programs that will help you reach your goal. It is just a tool but it is completely depends on us with discipline to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Thank you Fitbit Coach.

Great at home workouts I love this app! There's a great variety of cardio and strength based workouts that I can do at home or in the park. You can easily download the workout and then take it anywhere with you. The coaching is motivational without being cheesy and the workouts have a great variety of moves so I don't get bored. You can change audio settings to stream music while you're doing the workout, remove the coaching, or add in more tips. I highly recommend!

Dan. Jul 30, 2020

NICE BUT.. As a novice in working out, I found the app really nice for learning the moves and [this may change but] adjusting to your personal fitness level and needs. but why it doesn't allow you at add to the main fitbit app I will never know. It also has a bug that seems to have not been resolved: it just says "Cast to device" I would give 5 stars if these things were fixed, especially since I am paying for premium features.

Nik. T. Jan 23, 2019

I paid for the premium workouts and they are pretty good for me. The problem is the app does not always recognize the workout has been finished. It does not log it in the history. I find it frustrating because I like to look back at which workouts I've done so I don't repeat them. I have contacted support and they have responded but nothing is fixed. They always want me to send a screenshot but I dont know it didn't advance until I return to the home page.

Ale. Z. Apr 19, 2020

The idea behind the app is great and it has loads of great sessions. It would be a perfect fitness app...if it worked. The sessions stopped downloading after two days of using the app. I have tried reinstalling it, but now it won't let me log in using my Fitbit account, telling me my details are invalid. Please fix the bugs, it has a potential to be such a good app!

Entire service needs a rework. No obvious way to sync with my Versa. Most the workouts are audio only, but they take up your entire phone screen and you don't have the option to play in the background or even in a small window. You also cannot search for any workouts. Want to workout just legs? Well, get to scrolling. The app is also surprisingly lacking in overall workouts. I'm very, very disappointed and will be cancelling premium as soon as this trial is up.

Love using this app, especially through my versa, and I've used it loads. Recently however the versa has frozen mid session. Always happens when I'm asked to rate how hard the exercise is, then it freezes on the smiley face, and I can't see the next instructions, even though I can feel they are still running because my versa is buzzing with the start/stop points. Please fix that!
