Five Hundred (500)

After watching the old rellies play one night and not catching on I thought I'd hunt it down and give it a go. So quick and easy to learn. Have played it every night and never get tired of it. Can't wait til they come back and I can play a few rounds with them. Only issue I've had is not being able to see the the score for tricks won (top left) in the blue.

So close to being a great game. The developer locked down all the settings until you beat some arbitrary goal. So if you want to play the game how you usually play it you have to suffer through countless games until you are lucky enough to beat that goal. On top of that the ai is a step above acceptable. Technically they function but do many dumb things that make you want to jump across the virtual table and choke them out.

Pretty well done, with decent AI opponents. But not advancing beyond 460 except by bidding? I've never heard of that rule, and it's not in the Hoyle rules. Please make that an option that can be turned off in the settings. Also, interface could use work. Bid 6, opponents raise, you want to raise further, suit defaults to the lowest that could outbid opponent, rather than the suit you previously bid. If you change the number and tap "bid", you might find you've changed suits.

Great game! One suggestion is to have an option for which 4s are removed. My family plays red 4s removed instead of black (which I think makes sense that the red suits, having fewer cards, are worth more). But I know there are a lot of variations so it's hard to include all of the options.

Been playing this for several months. Just recently it started to studder when i played my card very annoying. Also noticed you have changed your advertising also very annoying. Deleted and reinstalled with the same results. Hope you get this resolved. Im sure you will. Fixed and it is aeesome thanks for being so responsive.

this is the best free version of 500 since there arent many. computer partners are predictable in how they play always leading trump wiping you out wich I've personally grown to learn to adapt too I'm just bored now as I've unlocked all the settings. this app will be so much better if there were options of settings to speed cardplay up, "the rest are mine" and definately to play online!

This is an entertaining game that is quite good. There is a bug where a winning bid is not given the kitty to choose and discard and then one of the opposing players starts the hand after restarting. This is be particularly disadvantageous during a nullo or 8 bid. The partner, Edi, will up the bidding when only 10 points are needed to win. Edi is significantly worse at Nullo than the either of the opponents. Edi consistently doesn't off suit or play to one's bidded suit.

The graphics in this app are really difficult. The display for the score of the hand is black background w blue numbers. Not enough contrast, very difficult to see. and the cards themselves are also difficult to see, to differentiate between suits. room for improvement. ♥️♦️♣️♠️🃏

This game is driving me crazy. I rarely ever get to bid, but my partner and 2 opponents bid all the time. I want to set it so you can't play 6 bids, but haven't ben unable to unlock that option. It is vert frustrating. I'm ready to uninstall it.

Good app. Ads are annoying but fact of life and just don't purchase those products. The win by less than 50 points unlock is practically impossible as the stupid AI on your team doesn't want to play for unlocks and will always ruin it. Edit: downgraded to 2 stars, the AI on your team is a moron who ruins the fun of the game

Love the game. Only issue I have is that when a card is played, the card shudders. Happened in the last week. I have uninstalled & installed the game, but no change. Otherwise it is great.

The programming of this game does not even remotely match the real world. For example, to be dealt low cards so often without the opportunity to go 'Nullo', happens way too often. When calling your bid you will be overridden by your partner more times than is probable. Sadly, I believe the programmers need to review the probabilities.

this is fairly good, at the initial levels otstarya with. but as to get further into it, and meet objectives (winning so many times etc) it gets "smarter". but actually it plays more erratically and stupidly. so it's ok at first, but becomes progressively more disappointing. I'm now uninstalling it. a shame

I was taught that there were supposed to be 5 cards dealt into the widow - everyone I've ever played with plays it that way. whether I'm playing with friends or play in a tournament with random people. I find it playing with only 3 in the widow very frustrating. Maybe that's a midwest thing...

this is a great app to play the classic 500 card game by yourself. it would be nice if there was an online feature but the compute is pretty goos on the hard level and i end up winning about 60% of the time. probably because i get too aggressive, but the game is great.

I am enjoying this game alot. I love that it is a solo game! I was having issue with game freezing on me & reported problem to google. Now when I play my cards, they have a kind of bounce back effect that is distracting. Hope this gets fixed?

Good game but hard to maintain interest when opposition continually opens with bids of 8. Going to uninstall now. Very rare to get a chance to beat the bots. Frustrating and time-wasting.

This app does a pretty good job of playing real-ish 500 given the team play and uncertainties in the game. The App players are not so good at playing as a team. Doesn't do so well at figuring out who holds certain cards/suits, or when to stop/start leading trumps. Just now though, partner kept a bare Queen after bidding misere/nullo!!? That sort of behavior usually leads to the opposition who's hand you just ruined, and your partner, chasing you down the street with wet towels and golf clubs.

Game play is good. Would give it another star if the graphics were a little larger (Particularly the played cards), at my age the eyes get dim and even on a relatively large phone (Note 8) the pips on the spades and clubs can be confused.

Don't like how the AI adjustment works. Noemal setting is good. Moronic is simple moronic. Hard setting dosn't improve their play. It means you the human player will never, EVER be dealt the joker. And your hand is consistently mediocre. Mediocre hands also when playing 5 cards in the widow. Even on normal. Bummer. I liked the idea of playing with 5. But sadly, I can only win a bid 1 of 10 times and that's me over bidding. But I will still play normal AI, with 3 in the widow.! I love card games!

Its great. Perfect game for when you need to fill in time. App works flawlessly, still beats me but not as much. I'd say if ya like 500 get it. ( it allows for the differnt variation of rules too.)

A nice implementation of a favourite cottage card game. My only complaint is that my partner (EDI) seems to neither count trump properly nor fish. For example, after seeing a trick in which only the two of us play trump, it'd be nice if the AI didn't continue to draw trump, using mine (and theirs) until we're both void in trump (only then to start playing losers in off-suits).

The bidding algorithm needs to grow a set: You wouldn't risk loosing a game to a bid of 6 tricks! That happens way too often with this app. And 90% of the time a bid of 6 hearts is too "scary" for the app to bid against... make that 100% if it's 6 no trumps

it does not understand cross trumping especially when the joker is not played by the opposition. it does not show who the successful bidder is. when I successfully bid without the joker, it always appears immediately to my left. needs tweeking then it would be a terrific game. Worse still, it does not take into account the state of the overall game, when we are on 460 say, I bid 6 ?, and our opponents have passed, my partner bids 7 or more unnecessarily, we lose the hand. it just got summer!!!!!

Try recoding the app so that both teams have a fair go at winning and stop the Joker going to one team most of the time. The position I play would be lucky to see the Joker 5% of the time and when I do I usually have to pass as the rest of the cards are rubbish. I have played a lot of 500 in my time and have never had such a bad run of cards for me and my team. Lucky to be able to bid 25% of the time. It is pathetic.

Overall, I really like it. Allows for a bunch of rule variations and the computer players play their hands fairly well. I don't think they are as aggressive in their bidding ad they should be.

Nice game, best available for 500 Small graphics and interface make playing a bit tedious but overall a well designed version. Hard to find anything comparable!

Really enjoy this game. Got me back into 500 again after a long time playing. AI partner can be as frustrating as the real thing. Almost convinced the opponents "table talk"!
