Thanks for making a very realistic 500 game, as I enjoy it a lot! I love so many Options to customize play. A LOT of effort put into this. 😊😊 My wishlist would be: - Explain what Nullo means as I only know Misere as lose all your cards. - The Bidding Box looks a little dark compared to the rest of the board. A lot of info squashed together makes it a bit hard to read & follow Called Bids. Maybe a lighter colour box would help; make the Bids Called suits/icons bigger & also up in corner. 😁
Best features of any 500 app out. However computer bidding makes no sense. My computer generated partner bid 8 diamonds with only 4 diamonds (no Joker, neither Jack, or Ace). Skill was set at 1. Setting at 6 doesn't seem to change aggressiveness of bidding either way. Otherwise a great app.
The best 500 game on Android. Why? It has features that help you to learn and practice. Such as exposing all the cards (If you choose to) to see how the computer plays, hints if your stumped what to play next, take back moves if you want to try a better move, and play reviews after the hand is over to see how well you played the hand. Also you can select how strong you want your computer players to be, from easy for beginners, difficult for the experienced. Great customer support too.
Better than expected. I was taught this game by some Australians so sought out to find an app for it. This was the only app I found and fully expected it to be poor. Given its the only one out there it's really good. The computer places pretty funky at times and the graphics can be awkward but this is a job well done. I would suggest when someone plays open nullo that their cards are displayed so that they are bigger and the screen doesn't have to be rotated.
Given less stars for removing previous review. AI are pathetically stupid.. my dumb dog is smarter. Absolutely clueless, trumps over partner & fails to win, makes stupid moves when going nullo & with high cards but even more dumb is the way it discards cards sometimes low cards over high cards then gets caught... often makes bids it doesn't have it.. Or when the other team goes nullo & I put low card opponent puts card higher then mine then my partner who has lower card but puts high card down
Good looking app, with some great features - but the A.I. bidding ruins it for me. The opponents (and partner) make ridiculous bids over the top of each other (and me), often resulting in open misere. Not fun. There is a much better 500 app out there. It isn't as visually nice as this one, and lacks some of the features this one has, but it is infinitely more satisfying to play due to the bidding and tactics of the A.I. players.
Love the game, you have to be careful when playing doubles, know the calls.
A great game...designed by people who play 500. The only suggestion...can we call it Misere instead of Nullo.
this is game is almost never in your favor. No matter how or what I do to change how the AI plays, can't find that balance. Your opponents somehow always have perfect hands almost every time. I struggle to even have a hand worth bidding almost 90% of the time. And then when you do get a good hand, your teammate will out bid you with some crazy bid and lose. The most success I've had is bidding nullo and its getting boring.i appreciate someone developing this game but coding does need tweaked.
Frustrating partner. I.e. many, many times when playing Open Nello, will unnecessarily take a trick with the joker, taking me off the lead, never let's me get it back so I can set the picker. This morning it has the cards to set the picker but had to take the lead. Had the joker, did NOT play it so it could take the lead. So annoying! And bids no trump without having the cards to do it and does not have the joker to take back the lead!
Bit of a 500 noob so can't comment on AI with great knowledge, other than it's better when set at a higher difficulty (because your partner doesn't do as much dumb stuff to sabotage you). No one likes ads, but I think their implementation on this app is perfectly reasonable for a free game.
This is a really good 500 game. Would have given a 4.5 if possible. Only complaint is my partner doesn't always play as expected, such as not getting trump out.
Your AI needs a major kick up the rear end. Pays no attention to your initial call, plays high cards when we've already won the trick, just plays ridiculously stupid cards on the whole. All this on the highest level of difficulty🤦♀️
An excellent 500 card game, adjustable AI allows the player to find their preferred difficulty
Very fun to play. However, my partner doesn't play correctly sometimes resulting in a set. It is obvious that the designers of this app or NOT experienced players of 500.
It's the game I grew up playing at my grandparents farm every winter. Plays well and brings back memories.🤓
Great engine for realistic play, many choice to make the play like your house rules.
Pretty good. Like how I can modify the settings of the AI as it tends to bid very aggressively. Still some silly plays - like partner taking your trick when should throw off or tricks not being taken when they should be. But overall, good.
Far too many intrusive and prolonged ads. Would be great otherwise. Uninstalling because the ads are just too annoying. Edit: paid for ad-free. It's a fair price and now it's a much better experience.
The game is fun and good graphics. My only complaints are: no matter what setting I set my partner at , my partner ( AI) usually OVER BIDS, causing us to "set contract" . Also, I RARELY ever get a good hand and out of 20 games that I've played, I won only 4. Usually due to my computer partner overbidding and bad hands. Please fix this problem. I sent email regarding this issue.. thank you.
The best 500 game available. Massively customisable rules and opponent abilities etc. Could do with more variability of strategy - all players seem to bid very aggressively, regardless of settings. But game play and player strategy is the best I've seen.
You have to wonder if the AI cheats at times, it just seems to have the card to beat you when you thought all the higher cards or suit were gone. Also the scores are "different" from what you remember from the previous hand at times. Apart from that, not a bad version.
Computer played hands need to change for nullo play. It's automatically choosing the high card where in nullo they should be playing the low card so you can give the trick to the hand that called the nullo to trip them up. Also see over trumping, when the trick is mine my partner still trumps. Overall pretty good though. Haven't played this since I was a kid. 😄
Great version. Still playing with the settings, but it beats any other version easily. I am having an issue where I select auto finish for nullo, but the game forgets I selected it.
Yeeeeeah assistant ai is dumb as a rock. Bleeds out Trump's, doesn't take queues about what cards you might have based on what you went. Just slams cards out in a seemingly random order. 500 is hard so I get the ai might be a challenge - suggest you spend some more time making the assistant ai a bit like a average human player rather than a rank beginner though. Otherwise game is fine 😁
Not a bad game but i get unrealistic bad hands which i end uppassing 90% of the time .And then my partner makes unrealistic calls that are in no way obtainable. Can you explain to me how i get the exact cards dealt to me 3 times in a row.And yes i did show my partner.Running out of patience with this game.lowering my star rating until fixed was a good game but if it doesnt change i will un install
I like the game and play it all the time but my partner, and I notice the same with the opposition, plays very badly at time, eg playing larger cards instead of playing smaller cards first etc. Very annoying!
This game is super unrealistic. I just downloaded and played about 25 games. Almost every game ends in 2 hands. 8 bids or nullo happen all the time! I play in person all the time and 7 rarely happens. Stacked hands are always dealt to AI players. I plan on deleting the game if this continues. Love this card game but hate this app.
