Hello there Five stars for the effort and time taking to write a tutorial, however this didnt work for me I have an error message and was wondering if by anychance you d have an explanation for it. I can see my device listed when typing adb device command however when I try to enter the overscan values I always have the following error message bad rectangle are 20, ( it does pick the first value that you type) Any idea? Could you please confirm that ROOT is not necessary for this operation. Kind Regards
Straightforward tutorial that absolutely helped work around the issue of a broken digitizer - less than a third of the bottom of the screen is unresponsive. Along with an onscreen home menu buttons app - will have to do until the new phone.

Works partially. Some apps won't accept the fix, while some others will. The lower part of my screen does not respond and I need to push the white bar from whatsapp further up in order to be able to touch it, but this app won't work with WhatsApp and many other apps EDIT: in landscape mode WhatsApp is accepting the change. It is not in portrait however
Cracked my phone on the left corner and the notification bar was so difficult to use. Now got to resize it and I can finally use all the buttons from my notification bar again 😁
Bottom 2cm of screen are not working on my phone. App works fine using it whenever keyboard is required, but whenever the keyboard is unnecessary there is a white, non functioning area where the keyboard should be (if needed).
I have a pink line going all the way down the right side of my samsung s7 edge is there anyway to fix this with this application? Will give 5 star when I know more about app.
Umm... What if broken area at the middle of the screen, horizontal, around 1cm long (height). ###### ###### ###### ------------- ###### ###### ###### If not properly displayed, think like this: @[H×V]@ >> [4×3#] AND 1 # long Horizontal unresponsive, empty area[4×1] AND pretty thin, horizontal line like area AND 1 # long Horizontal unresponsive, empty area again[4×1#] AND [4×3#] ¬end¬. What about this? :D I wish there was an app to drag screen temporarily... Just to click things if it they are in those spot. Do you know one? Btw you put so much steps for adb :k There is a simple and tiny zip file which contains adb pack, ready to go.

It can help with certain types of problems. It's worth a try but don't expect it to be able to work miracles.

It can't work scratches
When I run the fix command it returns "Error: bad rectangle arg: 0" (or whatever the first number is). I've tried adjusting the screen crop in countless ways, but it always gives me this error message regardless of what the numbers are. Help would be appreciated! :)
