We all paid full price for the app over the years. The developer, with no prior warning, decided to include ads in the app, and wants to charge $7/mnth for a "pro" version. We already paid to have no ads. The developer took an app which was advertised as a full-featured, ad-less app, for the one time charge... and changed it to a subscription-based model. At the very least, this change should have been grandfathered in. Unfortunately a bad move, that will cost the developer their clientele.

Wow what a joke. For years I have recommended this to anyone in need of a browser with fkey functions. It was perfect for doing what was needed. But now an app that I have already paid for is asking my to pay $7 a month to use a basic keyboard function?! In addition to having changed the app layout to be more difficult to use. The developer says the old version wouldn't work on the new OS. But I'm sure a monthly subscription isn't needed to make it continue to work. Very disappointed.

The new update is horrible. Forced ads, monthly subscription fee. When I open the app the page I want loads, but then I'm immediately blasted with a full page ad that plays on a loop that I can't close and go back to my content. I'm forced to force close the Ap and restart it hoping I don't get the full screen ad pop up again. I have screen shots, I don't a way of uploading them on here and their website in inaccessible

Originally great, now garbage. Full of ads. Have to pay for a monthly subscription now even though the original purchase price was paid. New development also disabled the most useful parts of the old ap, or at least made them more difficult to use in order to make you pay for a subscription. Moving on to other, better options, thanks. Developer, disable the video ads and stick to banner ads if ads it's a must. Place F key drop down on right side (or moveable). Condense F key drop menu, no scroll

Was a great app that I paid for and now is riddled with ads that are annoying when trying to do work on CATS. Plus it doesn't save a home address so you have to type it in or have it copied to clipboard constantly. The monthly sub fee is especially expensive... the monthly price is more than the app was originally bought for. Going to find a better solution in another app.

Used to be a useful app I could use for work (as we require the Fkeys to go through our internal system). Now I'm being bombarded with ads, which would be fine if it was a free app, but it wasn't. I paid for it years ago. I would have also considered getting the pro version if it was a one time charge to support the app, but they went subscription based. They might think they made the right move, but they probably just killed their app.

Terrible update. Paid for the app originally now they've changed to a subscription base with video adds after every use of f key. It'd take years to put your bids in. Menu is white text on white background so you can't read it unless you subscribe to change the colours. Can't find how to save the default web page. Button probably exists but I can't find it. I'll keep app for 1 week to see if they fix if not it'll be over to hackers keyboard for me. Do not pay for this garbage.

Absolutely terrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. This was originally a great app that suited my needs perfectly. Now that the Dev has sold out and gone 'Pay - to - Play', I cannot even get off the home screen. The url space won't accept the website I need to use and it constantly freezes on the opening screen while it cyles through 8-9 ads before I get fed up and restart it. Uninstalled it today after too much BS screwing around. What a waste. Way to fix something that's not broken

Paid 3.99 once for this, now they want 6.99 a month to "go pro". Every f key press brings up ads, in another spot they talked about how revenue is a great thing when they already got 4$ from all of us. Worked good before but now its a headache navigating pages that us railroaders use for work. App worked for 8 years and they use next android update would mess it up, well it didnt need an overhaul for that, you just want more money. Ads pop up while typing. Edit: weeks worth of work didnt help.

Not sure if you changed something or not but I am not getting incessant ads every time I hit an f key. The app is much more manageable now in my experience. I understand the need for some monetization but $6.99 a month was ridiculous. Do you put your app on par with Netflix. Besides us railroaders are notoriously cheap and would never pay that. 4 stars unless bombarded with ads again.

Use to be great. I paid for this app. But then they updated. It's a pain to use now. Ads pop up during your application and ads are always running at bottom that causes unintentional clicking on, trying to run the application you actually need the function keys for. Why should I have to pay monthly for a app I already purchased. It's nothing but aggravation now.

It's bad enough I already paid for this once, the monthly subscription route is greedy. Even if you did like $10 a year, that wouldn't be so bad. I've seen in other comments you work for CN, and knowing the lifestyle it can't take up that much time or you'd have to quit. The last couple days it's just decided to stop working, pages won't load but the ads sure do. Atleast you're getting the revenue I guess. The updates you made to the app were terrible. It was perfectly fine how it was before.

Developer got greedy and changed the app to a subscription service now after I had already paid for the app. Now I have to deal with adds. Very disappointed to say the least. It's one thing to have an ad bar at the bottom, it's another to have those intrusive full pages ads... Not making enough money as an engineer these days Mike?

You won't get most of your clientelle to pay 6.99/month. Like me, most people will just uninstall. Maybe if you had fees to pay to keep this app active, you could politely explain the situation and just say that you would like to charge everyone a one time 5$ fee to renew licences etc. Im sure everyone or almost everyone would have paid up. But putting ads on an app like this, plus asking for a monthly fee equal to Spotify definitely seems like greed.

Bought the app outright when it was a one time fee. Now they tell me for the features I've already paid for I need to subscribe for $6.99/month. This is ridiculous for an app that's only point is to simulate the f keys of a keyboard. Thanks but no thanks. Give your head a shake. You ruined your app in a single update. Who do I speak to for a refund if my original purchase. This is a scam.

I have had Fkeys2 sicne the begining and paid the original 6 bucks to support the developer who made something that allowed us to view CN CATs on our phones. It worked well this morning then at some point this "new version" by a different developer shows up and we have Ads popping up more than screen navigation, and a monthly fee to navigate ad free if you like. Problem is already paid for a online full version. Can't just start charging willynilly after the fact.

The new update is terrible. The layout is not nearly as good as the old one and the ads have made it almost unusable. Update: way! better with the ads now. Dialed them way down. It would be nice if the screen would rotate again.

I have used this app for years and would have given a good rating prior to this update. Would give zero stars now if could. Ads constantly. Typical greed from a company. Shoving unwanted ads down your throat. And $6.99 a month TO GET RID OF ADS, cuz let's face it any of the other upgrades are useless. Give me a break. Used to work great. Edit: I also purchased this app twice, once on Android and once on Apple. And core functionality is affected when full screen ad pops up after using an f key.

I loved the app until today, the new layout is confusing and it won't rotate to landscape mode. I also can't go back to the home page unless I close out of the app or I type it in manually it took away a lot of the things that made using the app easy to use and user friendly for me

Used this app for years without a problem but now everytime I do anything with it there is an ad. Developer wants $8 a month to turn off ads and unlock the whole app, common. I've now deleted the app and will be using other options, if the developer decides to drop the crazy charges I might come back but until than C YA FKEYS!

Started showing ads, paid money for this app. And now Trying to charge monthly subscription to make it ad free. Some features that were previously included aren't available now. Also the ads have sounds and cant ve muted, pretty annoying considering this app didn't make any sounds before.

So this app just updated on my phone yesteday. Up until then i would have given it a 5 star rating. After the update it is absolute garbage. I paid for this app originally and it was ad free. Now it is full of ads, and wants 6.99 a month to remove them. Total trash. Cant wait to find a replacement.

I paid for the full version of this app years ago, now its full of ads and wants $6.99 per month. Nothing in this update is worth that much money. Go ahead and charge for premium features but I expect to keep the basic functions I paid for ad free.

I have paid for this app over two years ago and it has updated feb18 2021 to a version that has ads! The ads pop up at the worst times and the UI is awful. Nothing works the way it should anymore. Very very disappointed.

So because this app hasn't been updated in years, and apparently won't work with the next Android update, people that paid for it originally will now have to pay a monthly fee to use it free of ads that pop up every single time you press F8 in CATS. If there is no plans to refund anyone that paid for the original, then this is shameless gouging. There is no legitimate way you can justify these new charges. Uninstalled.

Its now garbage with recent update. I have already paid for the app. Now they come out with an update that gives full screen ads incessantly. They want us to pay monthly for the "pro version" so we can have some different colors and other useless tools. "Ok" button on top of page missing. What a shame that the developers feel they need to gouge us $6.99/month for a piss poor version of the original. Hacker's Keyboard isn't great but its better than supporting this greedy POS.

02-2021 New update is trash avoid it at all cost popup adds, a monthly fee to "go pro". I would rather just find another app but they know that's not even an option, the devolper is obviously trying to take advantage of all the railroaders who need it to check their boards.

Litterally an add after EVERY SINGLE fkey press. I could understand timed ads or one add everytime you load. But this is rediculous, especially after having paid for this app from the original developer. The settings page is white on white, let's not pretend that wasn't intentionally done to force subscriptions. You mention that the new fees are to pay for continued support, however the app wasn't broken, you changed the functionality to soak users. This is blatent gouging.

App was updated, and now it's a monthly subscription, plus it feels clunky. I guess this is where we part separate ways. Fkeys2 worked awesome before this mess. Bunch of ads. Just get a custom keyboard, don't bother with this

This used to be a paid app which I had purchased. Now they changed it to add in ads and pay a monthly subscription of $7/mo. No warning or heads up. Now uninstalling and have found a free alternative with no ads.
