FlareCON™
The FlareCON™ app sends out 6 color commands - red, green, blue, amber, white and ultraviolet, using the following DMX channel assignments:
•Channel 1: Red (R)
•Channel 2: Green (G)
•Channel 3: Blue (B)
•Channel 4: Amber (A)
•Channel 5: White (W)
•Channel 6: Ultraviolet (UV)
Please note that lights using different channel assignments other than the one specified above will not work properly with FlareCON™ or the FlareCON™ Air hardware interface.
CHAUVET® DJ static LED wash lights that are DMX-controllable but not D-Fi™-ready can still be controlled via the FlareCON™ Air with the addition of a D-Fi™ hub https://www.chauvetdj.com/products/d-fi-hub/.

The update to the chauvet flaircon 2 air has locked the unit from being able to further use. When I called they told me I could wait that they are working on an update and it has now been close to 8 months with no resolutions.
Really needs to have a way to add non chauvet fixtures/generic items like a dimmer rack that you can label. Also missing ability to add moving heads.
Good app on iPhone, needs an update for Android tablets so it displays correctly.

I really like this app but there are a few issues I have. I have 3 of the Q12 lights and they can only be controlled via generic mode which only allows me to change the static color and a short fade out. I do not have full control over all of the lights functions. I think there is an update coming for the app but am not sure when it will be available. But please don't rush it...no bugs. Also, the BTAir app seems to have many more options for control. Will this app have the same eventually?
Generic mode is terrible, please add the ability to have a custom amount of channels, name them and maybe even save them.
Doesn't work with Chauvet dip switch lights. Very limited to a few light fixtures.
I basically spent £150 on a divice, which allows me to change colours on my uplights. (ie Flarecon reciever). Really poor value. More control needed in the app soon. Chauvet, what say you?
12CH DMX control including sound activation and strobe on my 20 Hex4's. Everything works well. Please keep up the work devs! I'll buy more lights!
Instructions don't tell you how to hook up generic par. Doesn't discuss channel or units.
You can't use the lights in sound mode or fade mode with this app just pick a color and that's it hope they update to get full control
It works well and is convenient. I would like more features to control chasing and changing colors of multiple lights.
Doesn't seem to work on 6.0.1 connected to the network. Nothing else happened read "offline" in tiny text. That should probably scale for UHD displays but doesn't.

Why won't this app work with my Freedom Strip Hex 4 lights? The flare con feature is the only reason I bought these lights! Now it won't control the ones I have?

Is it possible to add more options similar to IRC remote? I was looking for options Auto, Sound, or Fade but instead its just colors. If u guys update this app, I would buy more lights as I see value to it
I find a lot of problems with the FlareCon and the user experience. This review is from an expert user and engineer. 1) First of all, I find it disappointing that I have to select the wifi SSID of the FlareCon in order to communicate with the device. This is backwards in my opinion; the device should be able to communicate on the user's home network. This limits me because I cannot use my device and also control other wifi apps at the same time. 2) This device/app only allows the user to control the color of the light fixtures. I had way more control of my lighting with the use of the IR remote. I think Chauvet should at least add all of the IR remote functionality for the lights in the app. 3) Setting up the Wi-Fi communication did not work for me. The reading material did not provide enough information to help me setup the light devices to communicate with the FlareCon Air. In the end I had to connect a DMX cable from the FlareCon Air to the master Freedom Par and then setup the slave Freedom Pars to receive signal from the master. This is okay for my setup but it doesn't allow for an easy complete wireless setup. Even with the app working, the response was not so great.

This app is going to make set up an absolute breeze. Simple, intuitive, repeatable. I can't wait to try this out on my first installation.
Where is Freedom Strip Mini Quad 5?
Color scenes won't upload which makes this completely useless. Pissed off since I paid $200.00 for the receiver. Tried it on two separate devices.
After update the app no longer opens, stating that the app has encountered a fatal error and cannot continue. Edit:Fixed with latest update. Thank you. 👍
