Flashlight Toggle - Simple and Minimalist
Although most phones provide a flashlight toggle quick setting, this app was designed primarily to use with the Bixby button on recent Samsung Galaxy devices.
In Android 9.0 , Samsung made it possible for users to configure the Bixby button to launch an app. Therefore, by using this app, you can have your Bixby button work as a hardware flashlight toggle(when the device is unlocked). Because the app has no user interface, you can find full setup instructions on our website.
The app can also be used with other automation devices and apps, such as configurable 3.5mm headphone jack buttons,bluetooth connected buttons, NFC tags, etc. It also works great as a lock screen shortcut on devices that support those.

Worked as I needed it to. One weird quirk is that if you turn on the flashlight a different way, the app won't turn it off on the first to around. I understand why, definitely just a binary thing of on/off via the app, so no big complaint there. Looks like Samsung finally added Flashlight as a Bixby button function so I don't need the app anymore, but it was super handy.
Works on Galaxy Note 8. Makes screen do quick blip when turning on and off. Smallest, easiest, least intrusive app specifically made for remapping Bixby button. Thank you for doing what Samsung refuses to do. That button is finally useful!!!!!!!! Hold your heads high and proud, you all deserve far more thanks than this paltry five star rating.
Perfect for mapping the flashlight to the otherwise useless Bixby button on Samsung phones. To get it to work with the Bixby button don't forget to enable button remapping in your phone settings.
Sometimes it displays a white background for some miliseconds. I think that is the application form's background. Can you please make it black, so it will cause an "invisible" screen flashing?
Lovely app. Mostly used with Samsung devices with Bixby assistant, so if you see no use, means this is not for you. Too bad Samsung couldn't be aware of what users want. Anyway, kudos to the developer.
Phenomenal! Great app to map Bixby button to flashlight. Without this, your custom command will only turn it on, not off upon reclick. Now it's easy as can be!!!! Thank you programmer!

My Samsung S10e has 5 levels of flashlight intensity. I set it up to the maximum level, and the system flashlight application does use this setting. However, this application uses medium intensity.

Functions as advertised. Turns on light at full brightness. No option to set brightness intensity or to use the user setting as default.

Beautiful- install it, then go into your advanced settings and tell your Samsung phone to do this app when you push the Bixby button. Sinple and effective. Best app ever?
I use this app mapped on the bixby button, but it only opens the flashlight at about medium brightness with no way to set it at high brightness.
Perfect functionality for using the Bixby key for flashlight! This should be a built in part of every Samsung phone.

This should be installed as standard apps on all smartphones so long Google chooses for whatever reason not to let buttons be mapped to flashlight.

Installed this app just to use my bixby button but it didn't work, when I press this button open bixby and no flashlight!
I mapped this app to my bixby button so I can just press it to toggle my flashlight and it works well!

This is what I needed! My last phone was a moto z which had the gesture control for the light which I used multiple times a day. Ever since I bought my s10 I've been frustrated by the loss of that feature and every app that tried to emulate the gesture control of the moto z has been mediocre. This app fixes that! Super convenient and now the button isn't a waste!
