Love this no nonsense app. Easy one touch switch on, no ads, no extra screens. Have used it for years on my old Samsung Neo Grand Plus, hope the developer keeps upgrading it for newer phones. It does disappear occasionally from the home screen and had to add it again. Important notice: it has to be added to home screen from the widgets page, not from the apps page. Icon added from apps page only displays info page and doesn't work.
Works like a charm! I have used this one several phones now and love it every time. Have never had any real problems with it. FYI when you install the app if puts an icon on your screen. This is not the widget though on most phones that button will not do anything. You have to put the widget on your screen the same way you install other widgets on your phone. (Usually a long press on an empty part of the screen will bring up the options to add widgets)
Best flashlight ever. NO ads at all! And unlike all other flashlight apps I have tried this Ine works directly from the widget and does not bring up a new screen that you have to get rid of to see other icons for other stuff like messages or phone. Used this for few years on my old phone. Got new phone and thought to rate it now since I realize it is so much better. Thanks to the developer.
This application does its job well and its only does its job and no more. In fact, there is not even an application avaliable here - its just the widget that toggles yourflash light and that is about it. When I searched the market for a widget that toggles the flashlight, I did not expected that I will actually find an app that does not also bundles lots of unnecessary stuff. And most of apps have names likes "ultra bright" or "super colourful" as if installing their apps magically turns portable android LED flashlight into a portable laser capable of destroying whole planet. But this wonderful app does exactly what it says on the tin and no more - "Flashlight widget" adds a widget that allows you to instantly toggle the flashlight in the same way as built-in widget in Android 4.0 or lower instead of having to pull down status bar and press a button there.
The Flashlight Widget does just what I wanted it to do: If I click the icon on the home screen, the flashlight turns on, without having to open up a separate screen, and without displaying any ads. Also, the icon itself changes color when the flashlight turns on, allowing me to know simply by looking at the icon on the screen whether or not the flashlight is on.
This is a must have app. Allows you to set up a flashlight button widget directly on your home screen so you don't have to fiddle around looking though other apps to access your flashlight.... aka one button click to turn it on. No ads. This is exactly what I needed. Wish there were more apps which focus on value first... good job guys.
Simple, easy, clean looking widget that works. No ads, no permissions, no setup, and doesn't take up too much room. Just drop the widget on your screen and use it to turn your flashlight on and off, it's very straightforward, as it should be.
This is the best flashlight widget out there....I have wasted too much time looking for one. There are NO ads and it does exactly what it is supposed to do with no glitches or useless other features that get in the way.
The best app that I have ever seen in my entire life. The sheer magnitude of this awesomeness leaves my mouth agape. What could be more amazing than tapping an icon and having the flash from your camera turn on, and then - get this - STAY ON! I am so stoked about this insanely beautiful app that my hands are literally shaking.
No ads at all. Does not pester you for donations or purchases. It requires ZERO permissions. This flashlight widget always works, probability due to its symplicity . When you turn it on it stays on until you turn it off even if your screen locks. Simple.
This widget flashlight is GREAT I have been using it for quite some time now and have not had one issue at all with it, it's free, has no ads, lightweight, easy to use, dependable what more could you ask for. I think everybody should use this widget flashlight and abandon all the rest, and to the developer thank you for this amazing app, if this widget cost 3.99 I'd pay for it and you offer it for free, Come on people this app is great and it's free give this developer 5 stars
hands down the best flashlight function out there. It is not an app but a proper widget, and works even with turning the screen off and has a small button. its about time someone did an actual smart version..congrats! I will buy any apps or widgets from this maker if they do things this cleaver and simple. cheers!
Fantastic. Simple and effective. Turns on immediately and does not open a full screen control that blocks everything else.
love this! its a quick lil flick just to turn the flash on and it stays on, even if you need to turn the screen off, it will stay on till you click it off! I like to use it late at night when i need to use the bathroom, it shines the room up perfect with out blinding you! that said it is the heavest thing on my phone right now energy wise lol
This is what it claims to be. A widget to turn on the torch. No ads, no cost. Far easier than dragging down the notification bar to turn the torch on. Only problem; as a widget I cannot use it on the lock screen. Without a title on the widget, the icon does not line up with the others, but that is no biggie.
Everything I want in a flashlight app. Light, and nothing but light. This is my second phone I've installed the widget on. By being a widget it is always fast starting. The installer needs no permissions beyond camera so it's secure. I've looked at the source code and it is super simple.
This app works perfectly as intended. The second you press the button, the flashlight will instantly turn on. In certain situations this can really come in handy. It's small yet very useful. I definitely recommend it if you don't want to have to go to the camera just to turn it on.
Exactly what you'd expect from a flashlight widget! Adds an icon on the homescreen which turns the flashlight on or off without any fuss! Doesn't open a separate screen for an app, no ads, no useless settings.
I liked the app because it does what it says, though it has a major draw back. The app doesn't allow me to place the widget/icon as a shortcut in the shortcuts app section just above the home bar button. If the developer works on this option, I would change the rating to 5.
Perfectly simple! It does exactly what it needs to do. No fuss. If I could ask for one thing: a selection of icon designs or colors, to better blend into my customized launcher.
My previous phones had a flashlight app natively. This one has it from the drop-down menu. I wanted an easy to access button. This app provides exactly what I wanted. 5 thumbs up
This widget is exactly what I want. It is basically a button to turn on the light without opening anything. I have used this on my note 8 and now note 20 ultra. It has always worked flawlessly.
I use this on every device. Super simple to use. And very nice overall. My only issue is sometimes it wont sync if flashlight is turned on by another app. But great job to the developers.
I used this flashlight for a long time and loved it until recently and now it just disappers when I add it to my screen. I've uninstalled it repeatedly and reinstalled and still won't show when adding to home screen. Thanks
This worked great until a few days ago when it stopped working at all. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Will try again in a few more days. Really hope it starts working again as this was is probably the widget I used the most.
Watch out This app installed a side app without letting me know. The app wouldn't allow me to know if I was getting a call while watching YouTube. Verizon tech removed the side app and the problem is resolved. Other than that, the widget works just fine.
After my phone Samsung S20 fe 5g updated to Android 12 the application stopped working. At startup, the light goes on, but after 1 sec, it only goes out. Update: After the update one ui 4.1 was performed, operation of Flashlight widgate return to normal, so I also updated my rating to 5 stars.
Works pretty well on the Samsung S8 :) My only complaints would be that the icon depicts a power button rather than a flash light and the flash LED is slightly dimmer using the widget when when compared to using the torch icon in the notification panel.
I have previously downloaded those "shake to activate" Flashlight apps, but found that many of them are just too sensitive for phone in my everyday life (not to mention, completely plastered with distracting ads). I just so happened to stumble upon this particular app & found it to be the more useful & practical alternative. I especially like it's simple aesthetic, the widget itself, & it's accessibility. Worth checking out if you find yourself using the front light on your phone frequently!
