I worked with Morse code a good bit in the US Navy, and I like the app for what it is. It performs perfectly, allows you to change the speed of the encoded message/pulses. That is a feature I thought was imperative. You may need to send less detectable bursts at a faster pace, or you may need to send slower constant pulses... which at a slower speed, I believe, allows a potential observer to be able to see the pattern easier then focus on its message. Great app!!!
The idea of guessing the words was interesting, but that's where the good things ended. The flashlight works for too long, the interlocutor may confuse the point with the line. In the second section, you can write only literals, the morse code cannot be translated. I'm a little disappointed because downloaded this app for my training
The developer doesn't know how Morse Code works. Signals are linked together in an unintelligible manner. In Morse Code there are pauses. The shortest pause is between signals representing a symbol. A slightly longer pause is between symbols. An even longer pause is between groups of symbols (words). This app sends SOS like this: ...---... instead of ... --- ... I will change my rating after the errors are fixed. EDIT! Oops! My bad! I've made an untested generalization. Dunning-Kruger Effect...
This app is a gem in the rough. I was looking for such app, but all I could find was not even close to what I needed. Then I found this app and YAWZA!!! better than what I ever hoped for. It is a good flashlight but the extras are AMAZING. To get in all the functionality the developers had to make it a bit unusual. However, try it, try various settings, try the amazing widgets, and you'll fall in love with this app. Developers: please include a well written user guide and add "help." You got it!
Fried my flash. Now it's useless dim. It gets a little brighter if I turn it all the way up and back down two clicks. Also It wasn't accurate, it crashed, and it was easier to just use flashlight in my quick settings. I had no use for the Morse code, I have a smart phone.
Transmits morse and strobes and works offline. However, it has terms and conditions, which is a bit strange. It does have ads when online
Works great, thanks!
This such a needed app. I like having my phone for all sorts of emergencies and this app is simple but yet so good. Thank you!
I placed the SOS signal on my back deck. Repeating. The next night I had an unexpected and invigorating experience.
This is way cool for anyone wanting to learn morse code and send messages by light. Very helpful!
The app was great for use as a strobe light! It was also very effective as a Morse messenger. Highly recommended app!
Give interval setting
Good app. The ads are not displaying properly tho. Or could just be my phone
I use this all the time at high school football games to taunt the opposing side with Morse code messages. Very fun.
I bought a real mini flashlight with a built in cob light on Amazon for $9. Recharges with the same power bank as my phone and lights enduring up brilliantly. Way better.
Its really cool! i just wish it could translate code back to text.
this app works, just like, it's suppose to, and it's not complicated, like a lot of the apps., out there
Really great. Talk about a powerful communication tool
Great App! One of my friends suddenly start breakdancing really good.
Only complaint it does not work in the background when the phone is in sleep mode.
Great for changing the color of traffic lights!!
dope app 0 pop up ads amazing UI!
It worked perfectly the first time and then kept on craahing so I uninstalled it!
Dope app, precise translation. I fw it hard.
Exactly what I was looking for, good job.
A nice app, but it would be nice if it could also play the Morse code
That is not SOS it counts down 4 dashes 3 dashes..... Not - - - . . . - - - . . .
Great to have just incase
It works as it should. Nice interface. One thing I was hoping for was a Morse key/button that you could push to send messages, rather than just using a translator. But it works pretty well.
