App now works with Android Pie, better late than never. Only problem I've noticed so far is when you use the back button to exit and confirm, if you reopen the app, the cameras fail to connect immediately like they didn't even try to begin with. You have to terminate the app by pressing the square button and swipping to terminate from recently used apps. Once you do this and reopen, the app works fine. Please fix this. Thank you.

Installed, cameras work. Got it to work on the app. Using an Samsung Galaxy S9. But everytime I view, the quality is always always on the lowest setting. Unable to make out my license plate parked on my driveway. When I adjust the video quality to a higher resolution, and save the configuration. The quality gets better, but the configuration never saves. Every time I live view, the picture quality is always on lowest despite saving the configuration on a higher setting. Very frustrating.

The app is more intuitive than the DVR on-screen display, which isn't saying much. The most intuitive interface is the HTTP interface which requires jumping thru hoops to install an unsigned plugin and only works on PCs. I really would like to be able to access the HTTP interface from my phone, or make this app like that interface. Controlling the PTZ cam from the app is clunky, with swipe right half the time resulting in pan left, other half pan right; same for every axis. The cameras are really excellent, but the software is a bit disappointing.

After a recent update, we can no longer access the options to switch between the live view picture quality settings... We've tried on 3 different phones, all of which are difference models. Google Pixel 3, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9. The options do not show up at all having the app in portrait mode, and landscape mode will not allow us to slide through the option on the bottom to even get to the quality option...

Overall it's not too bad - though there are features that competitors (ie Nest) have that this app should really aim to include. My biggest issue is the push notification - it's not usable because I'm notified constantly - ie if a leaf moves outside. Ideally it should alert you if there is motion *only* within the region specified. BTW, defining the region is not intuitive place in the app. Please fix this and the app would be quite good!

When I first decided to give up my old security system I thought I was upgrading. I paid half the price for the old system I paid for this system. I don't know if this app is an upgrade but you used to have a mic on the screen to tell you the mic was on and worked great. Now I don't know of the mic is on or off. Which causes problems with your neighbors. Takes for ever to log on and when you do get on it disconnects you. Flir makes some fine products but needs a lot of work on there software.

When will the "fix" be made for Android 9? Since an upgrade to 9, app is no longer able to connect to or add DVR systems. More than likely an issue with newer permission granularity Android has added, but the current app doesn't support and therefore the app can't either store configurations or access the network. One would think that would be a simple fix.

The motion detect stopped working on the app about two months ago for Android phones (which my wife and I both have).Most of the reason why I got this system is for the live look and for the motion detect on my phone. Pretty useless now if you ask me. Called Flir about this about a month ago and was told they knew about the issues with Android phones and was trying to fix it. If this goes on much longer I will be looking for another system.

Most times I am unable to check my cameras, I get an error message "failed to connect" this happens more often than not. However every once in awhile, 1 time out of 20, the connection happens. I can always review the day at home from the base but part of the reason for getting the cameras was to be able to view while away.

Push notifications do not work. Everything seems to be working except the push notifications. one time I received push notifications but then it stopped. This system would be great and I would give it 5 stars but the app is not working with my Galaxy 8 regarding the push notifications. I've tried everything, from reading other reviews it seems like it's an app problem. If they fix the issue I will give it 5 stars.

I have a Galaxy note 8. For the most part it works great. However I found a bug. Play back a video not preview live stream, after video loads, rotate the phone from portrait to landscape. The playback will revert back to live view. This is extremely annoying.

clunky software that is not optimized for Android interface at all. cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the widget to work. constant freezing on video camera playback or live feeds have too often swipe away to a different camera and come back to the original camera to have it the clock start again and be current. not really impressed but not many alternatives out there locked into the hardware that locked into the software

Review update from 6/11 - I complained about the app how it stopped pushing motion detecting notifications after a recent update a few months ago, but I just realized that after the update those settings in my mobile app reset. I set it up again, and now back to receiving notifications. The only thing keeping me from giving the app 5 stars is that it's noticeably slower at connecting to my cameras after the update, and the lack of buzzer control.

Bad update! Lorex have a great reputation for CCTV equipment so it is a shame they can't write decent apps to go with it! Since the last update if I rotate my tablet into landscape mode then all cameras disconnect and WILL NOT RECONNECT! The app has to be restarted to connect again, but it now only works in portrait. Existing problem remains - if you minimise the app when you go back to it it NEVER reconnects to any cameras unless you fully close the app and remove from memory, appalling.

Worthless waste of memory on my phone. Doesn't work at all on Android devices and wasn't connecting to my DVR or individual cameras even before Pi rolled out. Tons of fatal errors, disconnect notices, and a support website with no answers. I even emailed them asking for help with connecting my DVR to the app and they never responded. They've replied to some of the recent 1-star reviews explaining that they're "testing a new version", but they've been saying that for over a month now. Maybe they can tell me who does the security cameras at their HQ, since I know their own don't work.

updated app slows opening by at least ten times! I am very unhappy. It keeps prompting me to approve a firmware update, I agree, and later it asks again. Never ending loop. What the heck? Please fix it all! Update: I even emailed company help desk and got no reply. App keeps asking repeatedly if I want to update firmware. I say yes and it is a never ending issue. We need a second system for our vacation home and it will not be this brand. I am SO FRUSTRATED! Update...few months later, still bad!

aug 2019: crashes all the time on android 6.0 dec 2019: now stable on same android: it is about time! I have it also on IPAD: stable but the images hide the menu in both portrait and landscape modes. SO STUPID! I tried to install the PC version on windows 10: the setup file opens a windows with some text description and nothing happens! I cannot believe how this company still survives dlivering such poor products.

This is the worst app I've ever tried to use. We spent a good amount of money on our camera system and installation. The hardware is great, but the app is unusable. Constantly crashing, disconnecting, closing. Not entirely sure why the app would need access to my microphone and camera either.

I just ordered the system and open it today. I installed it and can't get the app to work. Will not recognize any username or password. I submitted a ticket which they replied to 14 hours later, they said they had no record that I had purchased it. I followed the instructions of scanning the barcode afyer opening the app but it still does not work. I'm really disappointed in the amount of money I spent in this is garbage. I have concerns of returning it immediately for a full refund

The app stopped working since I updated to Android 9.0. I thought an update would come, but it's been months. I tried 20 different apps to see if I could get it working, but nothing was working until I found there is a Lorex Cloud app that seems to be getting maintained and works great. Download that app if you need to access your cameras.

I can view all 7 of my cameras just fine, excellent image, but push notifications stop working. On the push notifications page where you select video or image, it's dark instead of being white (Active). It was working fine for a while. How do i resolve this issue. It's my main reason for using this app on my Samsung Galaxy S8. Thank you for your kind attention.

Using on S8 & S8+. Since the update app is constantly randomly kicking us off...regardless the viewing position (portrait or landscape)Then It takes approximately 8 attempts to sign in before app allows us in. Each camera view on multiple views is smaller, leaving ALOT of grey area on the phone screen. Does this mean we are missing something? More to complain about, NOT enough patience to deal with it though. After reading all the negative reviews I dont want to be just "another number" to call in. NOT IMPRESSED WITH UPDATE.
