FLIR Tools Mobile

This is probably the worst app I have ever used and was probably an afterthought on Android. First of all it won't detect devices on the network even if you create a hotspot. Second it doesn't detect the FLIR camera when connected via OTG USB cable either. This app needs a severe update to get with the times and it's only use now is for generating reports

I am using the Flir MR59 moisture meter. The hardware works well. I recorded the data remotely on my phone. But when trying to see the chart it crashes. I exported the recorded data to a csv file and all values were 0.0 which is not correct. Finally, I tried opening the .db file that it stored in my phone and I could see the actual data. I could solve my purpose for now, but the app has a long way to go correcting all these bugs. Hope you test your app before launching it on playstore next time.

Terrible UI that looks like a mix between Android 2.3 and Windows95 and follows no modern app design principles. Unintuitive and frustrating. Only got it because of the "Edit in Flir Tools" button in the Flir One app, I'll just stick to that one from now on or find a desktop app on PC. My issues are not with connectivity, I'm not trying to directly connect my Flir One sensor. FLIR hardware itself is top notch, but refresh or take this app off the app market or it will damage your brand.

This app doesn't work with my CM83 clamp meter, did on my old phone android 9 but new phone android 12 the connection always drops out after 2 seconds. Driving me nuts. Main reason to buy the CM83 clamp meter was the Bluetooth connectivity for remote viewing. So fed up - on the brink of writing reviews on all the sale sites I can find ☹️😓

I have a MR55 and hoping the FLIR tool can log the (many) readings of moisture from various points at the ceiling while I got no hand spare. One hand holding MR55 taking moisture reading from ceiling and the other hand on ladder to keep me from falling. However the Flir tool will not record reading which I long press the HOLD button. I require me to take out the phone and press the camera button to make a record. Please tell me I'm stupid and there is a 'way' to do what i wanted.

I have a OnePlus7 Android phone and cannot connect to my new C5 camera. It stays on connecting for a few seconds then nothing happens. can't import photos either. Seems like is not just my problem given all the 1-star reviews. I've tried it on my wife phone and a tablet and nothing seems to be able to connect to it. Might have to return the product. Such a waste of $700.

I'm honestly not sure what this app is supposed to do vs. the camera app. It does recognize my Flir One, but has crashed twice in less than a minute and I have not yet been able to test it out with any images. Rotating the phone appears to give it fits.

EDIT: Tried reading through the troubleshooting and help guide and just using the app to edit images or video as suggested. Unfortunately the app is basically useless. I can access the library of videos and images (which is a pain) and even then I can't import the image or do literally anything else.

I installed this on my Pixel 4a 5G phone running Android 11 and tried to use it with my FLIROne Gen 3 camera. The features shown in the screenshots looked a lot better than those offered by the FLIR ONE app. Unfortunately, the app would run at first, but as soon as I tried to open the camera, the app would die without error. This happened repeatedly and continued after rebooting the phone. It's useless without camera support, so I uninstalled it.

So all these people are saying this app doesn't work, even though the developer of it is a huge biz w/ gov & DoD contracts. I think I'll choose to believe the pro thermographers, I mean PROFESSIONAL, they aren't playing. SEE, I actually clicked "help w/ using flir tools" link in the app's menu, it takes you to an ungodly amt of FREE thermography knowledge. IMO, The ppl being salty just don't really know how to use IR, but think they do. FLIR, U GUYS SHOULD SEND ALL NEG MSGS W/UR UTUBE CHNL!

Poorly written app and instructions. Had to dig thru reviews to find that the app doesn't support live streaming from the flir one v3 camera when connected only the saved images EVEN THOUGH the camera shows up in the app and gives you a connect button. Nowhere in the app description is this mentioned, only in the replies to reviews do they bother to mention it. Get your s#*t together FLIR

Does not sync to devices very easily. I had 30 mins to kill and trying to figure out what to do with my time so I was like hey I'm gonna try and connect to the bluetooth on my Flir MR55. 45 minutes later the app says it recognizes 1 device and shows up as an icon in the app and that's it. I thought I could look at my phone to see read the meter display but nope. Awesome, if you have a free weekend and looking for time to kill I can only imagine what it would take to link up a camera.

Should be able to capture from the camera straight to my phone's memory, over WiFi or USB C, without the camera having an SD card in the camera. Please add this as an option! This will be especially handy here on site where the camera is being shared between multiple departments and the SD card can easily go missing.

Does not give live readings. Purchased a MR59 moisture meter for the ability to place it on a pole and get distance measurements via a bluetooth device. Phone connects to the MR 59 but does not give live readings as advertised. Only reason i gave 2 stars is because the customer service seems very good. They opened a ticket. I will edit my review if and when the problem is resolved.

Doesn't work with flir one pro usb-C: Couldn't register the camera at start up. I tested on both samsung S8 and Tab A, are not working at all. The app also designed to be very annoying as far as privacy is concerned. Very disapointing. I think $600aud for the camera of this low quality is a good way to throw money away.

Edited review 11/21/2020:. I have purchased a flir tg267 which connects via bluetooth. Flir tools connects with it - however only gets temperature readings on a chart, and does not allow me to see the photos that my tg267 took, in order to make a customer report. How do I utilize/sync the photos in the device with flir-tools? It connects as a meterlink device instead of as a thermal camera device.

The flir app is really good, the cat s61 that it comes in has a crippling issue that it won't charge brand new from the factory. I don't know if it comes on any other devices but if you're getting a cat s61 make sure that it charges before you take it home and don't buy it online.

does not work with cat s60 One and a half year to get a reply. Wow. Great customer service! And they want me call them overseas at my expense. Two telephones later i got this reply.... if i could give 0 stars i would. I gave up on this app and bought another one from some german (i think) developer that had one pay and one free app. Liked it so much i payed for the full version.

This app needs to be updated. I have a new Samsung s22 Ultra and a Flir DM285. THE APP DOES NOT WORK WITH THIS PHONE MAKING BOTH THE PHONE AND THE DM285 WORTHLESS. COME ON FLIR IT WORKED ON MY NOTE 8. GET WITH THE TIMES. IF I COULD GIVE - STAR I WOULD.

Always been an extremely handy tool to have up your sleeve which can easily help contribute towards what on the face of it can be a complex and technical assessment to conclude. Very reliable user interface is 5⭐

After having some trouble with my Flir Exx series camera i have left a negative feedback on this comment section and was advertised to contact customer support. I edited my review and i feel obliged to say that they helped me resolve my issue and i couldn't be pleased more. Thumbs up for the customer service team and Flir company in general. Does not connect to my c5 camera. Basically useless to me. I'm a electrician for a large industrial facility. We have more expensive flir cameras available, but we use the c5 for troubleshooting purposes and to determine if the more expensive cameras are needed for documentation. But this app will not work with any of our cameras. I'M GLAD MY C5 IS BETTER FUNCTIONING THAN THIS APP.

It does not find the Flir camera in the cellphone is being used. I have an ulefone armor9 with a Flir Lepton camera but this app does not find it. Also a save-as option should be available to keep the original untouched

Just installed this. I have a Samsung A70 running android 10, the app keeps saying "Discovery error: unable to start discovery - internal BluetoothAdapter error " I have no way of downloading images from my new CM275 meter.

Engineers Again. Flir is great for thermal imaging, no doubt, but Flir tools for PC and the app are terrible. By that I mean they take forever to figure out. These businesses want coding nerds that have no idea how the engineering or science of their profession actually work and vice versa, to collaborate and create a system to work together and its always a blunder. Not user friendly. It will get better I'm sure, but its gonna be awhile.

Works great. I have been using it in your level 1 class while you talk about flir tools. Nice to be able to use the tool and watch the class on zoom at the same time. Camera is an E8

Struggles to connect via Bluetooth to dm93 meter. Once connected the app is good. Need to fix connectivity issues. Has no issue finding the meter

Brandnew 2021 Flir C5 camera instrument not recognized although Bluetooth pair with Android phone. FLIR support confirms that C5 cameras are not compatible to FLIR mobile apps. No Wifi Live stream to smart phone No file tranfer (only via ignite cloud) FLIR logo can't be removed from photo

Disappointed. Not suitable for mobile pcb observe. every time needs alignment and after completing alignment picture gone back. It's getting panic. App Needs improvement.
